1:1 Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of scorners.
1:2 But his delight is only in the Torah of Yehovah, and he meditates in His Torah day and night.
1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of waters, which will give its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf will not wither, and all which he does will prosper.
1:4 Not so are the wicked, but they are only as chaff which the wind drives about.
1:5 On account of this the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the house of assembly of the righteous.
1:6 For Yehovah is knowing the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.1
2:1 Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on emptiness?
2:2 The kings of the earth have placed themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Yehovah and His Messiah, saying,
2:3 We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us.
2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Yehovah shall mock at them.
2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger, and in His wrath He will terrify them;
2:6 Yea, I have set My king on My set apart mount on Zion.
2:7 I will declare concerning the statute of Yehovah: He said to Me, You are My son. Today I have begotten You. (Acts 13:33, Mk 1:11)
2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as Your inheritance; and as Your possession the ends of the earth.
2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
2:10 Now, then, be wise, O kings; be taught, O judges of the earth:
2:11 Serve Yehovah with fear; and rejoice with trembling.
2:12 Kiss the son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!2
3:1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
O Yehovah, how my adversaries have multiplied! Many are the ones who rise against me.
3:2 Many are saying of my soul, There is no salvation for him in Elohim. Selah.
3:3 But You, O Yehovah, are a shield around me; my glory, and He who lifts up my head.
3:4 I cried to Yehovah with my voice, and He heard me out of His set apart mountain. Selah.
3:5 I laid down, and slept. I awoke, for Yehovah kept me.
3:6 I am not afraid of myriads of people who have been set against me all around.
3:7 Arise, O Yehovah! Save me, O my Elohim. For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
3:8 salvation* belongs to Yehovah. Your blessing is on Your people. Selah.
4:1 To the chief musician, for stringed instruments, A Psalm of David.
Answer me when I call, Elohim of my righteousness. You gave room to me in distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
4:2 O sons of men, until when shall My glory be for a reproach? Will you love vanity? Will you run after a lie? Selah.
4:3 But know that Yehovah has set apart the righteous for Himself. Yehovah hears when I call to Him.
4:4 Tremble and do not sin. Speak within your own heart on your bed and be still. Selah.
4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteous-ness and trust in Yehovah.
4:6 Many are saying, Who will make us see any good? O Yehovah, lift up the light of Your face on us.
4:7 You have given gladness in my heart, more than in the time their grain and their wine grew.
4:8 I will both lie down in shalom and sleep; for You alone, O Yehovah, make me dwell in safety.
5:1 To the chief musician, for flutes. A Psalm of David.
Give ear to my words, O Yehovah; consider my meditation.
5:2 Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my Elohim; for I will pray to You.
5:3 You will hear my voice in the morning, O Yehovah, I will set myself for You in the morning, and I will look up.
5:4 For You are not a Elohim enjoying wickedness; nor shall evil live with You.
5:5 The boasters shall not set themselves before Your eyes. You hate all workers of iniquity.
5:6 You shall destroy those speaking lies; Yehovah will despise the man of blood and deceit.
5:7 But I, in the plenty of Your grace, I will come into Your house. I will worship in Your fear toward Your set apart sanctuary, O Yehovah.
5:8 Lead me in Your righteousness, because of my enemies; make straight Your way before me.
5:9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is engulfing ruin; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.
5:10 O Elohim, hold them guilty; let them fall from their own counsels. Drive them away in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.
5:11 But let all who put their trust in You rejoice; let them shout for joy forever, because You cover them. And let those who love Your name be joyful in You.3
5:12 For You, O Yehovah, will bless the righteous; You will surround him with favor, as with a shield.
6:1 To the chief musician, for eight-stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, do not rebuke me in Your anger; nor chasten me in the heat of Your fury;
6:2 have mercy on me, O Yehovah, for I am weak; heal me, O Yehovah, for my bones are troubled.
6:3 My soul also is greatly troubled and You, O Yehovah, until when?
6:4 O Yehovah, return, deliver my soul; save me for Your mercy's sake.
6:5 For there is no memory of You in death; who shall give thanks to You in Sheol? (Eccl 9:5)
6:6 I am weary in my groaning; I shall make my bed swim in all the night; I melt my couch with my tears.
6:7 My eye is dim because of grief; it wastes away because of all those distressing me.
6:8 Depart from me, all workers of iniquity, for Yehovah has heard the voice of my weeping.
6:9 Yehovah has heard my plea; Yehovah will receive my prayer.
6:10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back, ashamed in a moment.
7:1 A song of David, which he sang to Yehovah on the words of Cush the Benjamite.
O Yehovah my Elohim, I seek refuge in You; save me from all who pursue me, and deliver me,
7:2 lest he tear my soul like a lion, ripping, and there be no one to deliver.
7:3 O Yehovah, my Elohim, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in my hands,
7:4 if I have repaid evil to one at shalom with me or I have plundered one oppressing me without cause,
7:5 let the enemy pursue and overtake my soul; yea, trample down my life to earth, and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.
7:6 Arise, O Yehovah, in Your anger; be lifted up at the rage of those distressing me; and awake for me! You have commanded judgment.
7:7 And the assembly of the peoples shall surround You, and over it You will return on high.
7:8 Yehovah will judge the people. O Yehovah, judge me according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity on me.
7:9 Oh let the evil of the wicked come to an end; and You will establish the just; for the righteous Elohim is a trier of hearts and reins.
7:10 My defense is on Elohim, who saves the upright of heart.
7:11 Elohim is a righteous judge; and El is angry with evildoers every day.
7:12 If he will not turn, He will whet His sword; He has trod His bow, He made it ready;
7:13 yea, He has fitted for him instruments of death. He will make ready His arrows for pursuers.
7:14 Look, he is bound with iniquity and he will conceive mischief; and he has fathered falsehood.
7:15 He dug a pit and bored it, and has fallen into the ditch he made.
7:16 His mischief shall return on his own head, and his violence shall descend on his own crown.
7:17 I will thank Yehovah according to His righteousness, and will praise the name of Yehovah Most High.4
8:1 To the chief musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, our Master, how majestic is Your name in all the earth; You have set Your glory above the heavens!
8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and infants You have perfected praise, because of Your enemies; that You might put down the enemy and avenger. (Math 21:16)
8:3 When I look upon Your heavens, the work of Your fingers: the moon and the stars which You have fixed;
8:4 what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him?
8:5 For You have made him than the Messengers; and have crowned him with glory and honor.
8:6 You made him rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all under his feet:5
8:7 all flocks and oxen, and also the animals of the field,
8:8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, all that pass through the sea.
8:9 O Yehovah, our Master, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!6
9:1 To the chief musician, to die for the son. A Psalm of David.
I will give thanks, O Yehovah, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful acts;
9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will praise Your name, O Most High.
9:3 When my enemies turn back, they will fall and perish before You.
9:4 For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging right.
9:5 You have rebuked the nations; You have destroyed the wicked; You have put out their name forever and ever.
9:6 The desolations of the enemy are ended forever; and You have uprooted the cities; their memory has perished with them.
9:7 But Yehovah is seated forever; He has established His throne for judgment.
9:8 And He shall judge the world in righteousness; He shall judge the peoples in uprightness.
9:9 Yehovah also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of distress.
9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Yehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.
9:11 Sing praises to Yehovah who dwells in Zion;7 declare His deeds among the nations.
9:12 For He remembers them, the seeker of bloodshed; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
9:13 Be gracious to me, O Yehovah; see my affliction from the ones hating me, be lifting me up from the gates of death,
9:14 so that I may declare all Your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion; I will rejoice in Your salvation (Y’shua*).8
9:15 The nations have sunk into the pit they made; their foot is taken in the net they hid.
9:16 Yehovah has been known, He has executed judgment; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. A meditation, Selah.
9:17 The wicked shall be turned to Sheol, all the nations forgetting Elohim.
9:18 For the needy shall not forever be forgotten; the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
9:19 Arise, O Yehovah! Do not let man have strength; let the nations be judged before Your face.
9:20 O Yehovah, put fear in them; let the nations know they are but men. Selah.
10:1 Why, O Yehovah, do You stand far away? Will You hide in times of trouble?
10:2 The wicked in his pride will pursue the poor; they will be caught in the schemes which they have devised.
10:3 For the wicked boasts of his soul's desire, and the covetous he has blessed; scorning Yehovah.
10:4 Through pride of his face, the wicked will not seek; there is no Elohim in all of his schemes.
10:5 His ways are perverted at all times. Your judgments are high from his sight; as for all distressing him, he puffs at them.
10:6 He has said in his heart, I shall not be moved! From generation to generation never will I be in evil.
10:7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud; under his tongue are mischief and vanity.
10:8 He sits in the hiding places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; his eyes watch against the poor.
10:9 He lies in wait secretly like a lion in his den; he lies in ambush to catch the poor; he seizes the poor, drawing him into his net;
10:10 and the poor being crushed, he bows; yea, the poor have fallen by his strong ones.
10:11 He has said in his heart, El has forgotten; He hides His face; He will not see forever.
10:12 Arise, O Yehovah! O El, lift up your hand; do not forget the lowly ones.
10:13 Why does the wicked one despise Elohim? He has said in his heart, You will not require it.
10:14 You have seen, for You take note of mischief and vexation, to pay back with Your hand. The poor leaves himself to You; You are the helper of the orphan.
10:15 Break the arm of the wicked and evil one; search out his wickedness until You find none.
10:16 Yehovah is King forever and ever; the nations have perished out of His land.
10:17 O Yehovah, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will fix their heart; Your ear will hear.
10:18 Judge the orphan and the hurt one. No more shall the man of the earth continue to terrify.
11:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
I sought refuge in Yehovah; how can you say to my soul, Flee like a bird to your hill.
11:2 For look! The wicked will tread the bow; they fixed their arrow on the string, in order to shoot with it at the upright of heart in the dark.
11:3 When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?
11:4 Yehovah is in His set apart sanctuary; Yehovah, His throne is in the heavens; His eyes see; His eyelids will examine the sons of man.
11:5 Yehovah tries the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and the one loving violence.
11:6 He shall rain snares on the wicked; fire and brimstone and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
11:7 For Yehovah is righteous; He loves righteous deeds; the upright look upon His face.
12:1 To the chief musician, on eight. A Psalm of David.
Help, O Yehovah, for the righteous ceases to be; for the faithful fail from among the sons of men.
12:2 They speak vanity, each man with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. (Ja 1:8)
12:3 Yehovah shall cut off all with flattering lips and the tongue that speaks great things;9
12:4 who say, We shall be strong by our tongue; our lips are our own; who is lord over us?
12:5 For the pain of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now rise up, says Yehovah; I will set in safety; he pants for it.
12:6 The Words of Yehovah are pure Words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times.
12:7 You shall keep them, O Yehovah; You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
12:8 The wicked walk around on every side, when evil is exalted by the sons of men.
13:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
Until when will You forget me, O Yehovah? Forever? Until when will You hide Your face from me?
13:2 Until when shall I set counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day? Until when shall my enemy be lifted up over me?
13:3 Look! Answer me, O Yehovah, my Elohim! Make my eyes gleam, lest I sleep the death;
13:4 lest my enemy say, I have overcome him; and my foes rejoice when I am shaken.
13:5 But I have trusted in Your mercy. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation (Y’shua*).
13:6 I will sing to Yehovah, because He has rewarded me.
14:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
The fool has said in his heart, There is no Elohim! They acted corruptly; they did hatefully in deeds; there is none doing good.
14:2 Yehovah looked down from Heaven on the sons of mankind, to see if there were any discerning and seeking Elohim:
14:3 they have all turned aside; together they have become filthy; there is none doing good, not even one!(Ro 3:10-12)
14:4 Have all doers of iniquity not known, eating My people as they eat bread? They have not called on Yehovah.
14:5 There they feared with dread, for Elohim is in the righteous generation.
14:6 You have shamed the counsel of the afflicted, for Yehovah is his refuge.
14:7 Who will give out of Zion the salvation (Y’shua*) of Yisrael? When Yehovah brings back the captivity of His people, Ya'akov shall rejoice; Yisrael shall be glad. (Is 59:20, Ps 53:6)
15:1 A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, who shall sojourn in Your tabernacle? Who shall settle on Your set apart mountain?
15:2 He who walks uprightly and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.
15:3 He does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor lifts up a reproach against his neighbor. (Pr 6:16-19)
15:4 In his eyes, the reprobate has been despised, but he honors those who fear Yehovah: He has sworn to his hurt, and he will not change it.10
15:5 He has not given his silver at interest; nor has he taken a bribe against the innocent; he who does these things shall not be shaken forever. (Is 33:15)
16:1 A Secret Treasure of David.
Watch over me, O El, for I take refuge in You. (Ps 91:1-2)
16:2 You have said to Yehovah, You are My goodness and nothing is apart from You.
16:3 As for the set-apart ones in the earth, they are the excellent ones; all my delight is in them.
16:4 Their sorrows shall multiply if they run after another Elohim. I will not pour out their drink offering of blood; and I will not take their names on my lips.
16:5 Yehovah is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup; You are He that restores my inheritance to me.
16:6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance.
16:7 I will bless Yehovah, who advised me. My mind also teaches me in the nights.
16:8 I have set Yehovah always before me; for He is at my right hand: I shall not be shaken.
16:9 So my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh shall also rest in hope.
16:10 For You will not leave My soul in Sheol; You will not give Your set apart One to see corruption.11
16:11 You will make Me know the way of life. In Your presence is fullness of joys; at Your right hand are pleasures forever.
17:1 A Prayer of David.
O Yehovah, hear righteousness; listen to my cry; give ear to my prayer, for it is not in lips of deceit.
17:2 Let my judgment go out from Your face; Your eyes see uprightly.
17:3 You will test my heart; You will visit in the night; You will refine me; You will find nothing; my thoughts do not pass beyond my mouth.
17:4 As to the doings of men, by the Words of Your lips I keep from the paths of the violent.
17:5 My steps have kept in Your tracks so that my strides have not slipped.
17:6 I have called on You, for You will answer me, O El; bow down Your ear to me and hear my word.
17:7 Set out your wonderful loving-kindness by Your right hand, O Savior of those who trust in You, by your right hand from those who rise up against you.
17:8 Keep me as the pupil, the daughter of the eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings, (Zech 2:8, Deut 32:10)
17:9 from the face of the wicked who stripped me; against my soul my foes encircle me.
17:10 They are enclosed in their own fat; their mouth speaks proudly;
17:11 now they have hemmed in our steps; they set their eyes to extending to the earth;
17:12 like a lion who longs to tear, and like a young lion sitting in hidden dens.
17:13 Arise, O Yehovah, go before his face and bow him down! Deliver my soul from the wicked, by Your sword,
17:14 from men, by Your hand, O Yehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and their belly You fill with Your treasure; they are satisfied with sons, and will leave their riches to their babes.
17:15 As for me, in righteousness I will look upon Your face; when I awaken, I shall be satisfied by Your image.
18:1 To the chief musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of Yehovah, who spoke the words of this song to Yehovah in the day that Yehovah delivered him from the hand of all his foes, and from the hand of Saul. And he said:
I love You, O Yehovah, my strength.
18:2 Yehovah is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; He is my El, my Rock; I seek refuge in Him; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. (Ps 144:1-2)
18:3 I will call on Yehovah, who is to be praised; and I shall be saved from my enemies.
18:4 The cords of death hemmed me in; yea, the floods of wicked men overwhelmed me;
18:5 cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.
18:6 In my distress I called on Yehovah and I cried to my Elohim; He heard my voice out of His sanctuary, and my cry went before Him, into His ears.
18:7 Then the earth shook and quaked; and the foundations of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because it angered Him. (Ps 68:8, Is 13:13)
18:8 A smoke went up out of His nostrils, and fire devoured out of His mouth; coals were kindled from it.
18:9 He bowed the heavens also and came down, and darkness was under His feet;
18:10 and He rode on a messenger, and He flew; yea He soared on the wings of the wind; (Ps 99:1)
18:11 He made darkness His covering, His pavilion all around Him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
18:12 Out of the brightness before Him, His dark clouds passed through, hailstones and coals of fire.
18:13 Yehovah also thundered in the heavens; and the Highest uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire.
18:14 Yea, He sent out His arrows and scattered them; and lightnings He shot out, and confounded them.
18:15 Then the stream beds of waters were seen, and the foundations of the earth were bared at Your rebuke, O Yehovah, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
18:16 He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters;
18:17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from ones hating me; for they were stronger than I.
18:18 They prevented me in my day of calamity, but Yehovah was my support.
18:19 And He brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me;
18:20 Yehovah rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has repaid me.
18:21 For I have kept the ways of Yehovah, and have not evilly departed from my Elohim.
18:22 For all His judgments were before me, and I did not turn away His statutes from me.
18:23 For I was upright with Him and kept myself from my iniquity.
18:24 And Yehovah has returned to me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands before His eyes.
18:25 With the merciful You reveal Yourself as merciful; with an upright man You reveal Yourself as upright;
18:26 with the pure You reveal Yourself as pure; and with the crooked, You appear perverse;12
18:27 For You will save an afflicted people; but You will bring down haughty eyes. (Pr 3:34, Pr 6:17)
18:28 For You will light my menorah; Yehovah my Elohim will make my darkness light. (Ps 119:105)
18:29 For through You I can rush through a troop; and through my Elohim I have leaped over a wall.
18:30 The El, is perfect in His way; the Word of Yehovah is purified; He is a shield to all who seek refuge in Him.
18:31 For who is Eloah besides Yehovah? Or who is a Rock except our Elohim?
18:32 It is El who girds me with strength and gives my way to be perfect;
18:33 setting my feet like the deer, and making me stand on my high places;
18:34 teaching my hands to war, so that a bow of bronze is bent by my arms.
18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation (Y’shua*); and Your right hand holds me up; and Your gentleness has made me great.
18:36 You have made a wide place under me for my steps, so that my ankles have not stumbled.
18:37 I have pursued my enemies and have overtaken them; nor did I turn back until they were consumed.
18:38 I have shattered them, and they cannot rise up; they fell under my feet.
18:39 And You have girded me with strength for the battle; You have bowed under me those rising against me.
18:40 And you have given me the neck of my enemies that I might cut off those hating me.
18:41 They cried, but no one is there to save; to Yehovah, but He did not answer them.
18:42 And I crushed them like the dust before the wind; I emptied them out like the mire of the streets.
18:43 You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; You have made me head of the nations; a people I have not known shall serve me.
18:44 At the hearing of the ear they listen to me; the sons of foreigners shall bow down to me.
18:45 The sons of foreigners shall faint and come trembling out of their strongholds.
18:46 Yehovah lives! And blessed be my Rock! And let the Elohim of Y’shua* be exalted!
18:47 The El who avenges me, and orders people under me.
18:48 He delivers me from my enemies; yea, You lift me up from among those rising up against me. You have delivered me from the violent man.13
18:49 On account of this I will extol You, O Yehovah, among the nations, and I will sing praises to Your name,
18:50 magnifying Y’shua*, His king, and working mercy to His Messiah; To David and to his Seed forever.14
19:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
The heavens are recording the glory of El, and the works of His hand the expanse is manifesting.
19:2 Day by day they pour forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
19:3 There is no speech, nor are there words where their voice is not heard.
19:4 Their voice is gone out into all the earth, and their words to the end of the world; in them He has set up a tent for the sun.
19:5 And he comes forth like a bridegroom from his canopy. He rejoices like a hero to run a race;
19:6 His going forth from the end of the heavens, and his orbit to their ends; and nothing is hidden from his heat.15
19:7 The Torah of Yehovah is perfect, converting the soul. The Testimony of Yehovah is sure, making the simple wise.
19:8 The precepts of Yehovah are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandments of Yehovah are clear, giving light to the eyes.
19:9 The fear of Yehovah is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of Yehovah are true, they are righteous altogether.
19:10 They are more precious than gold, even much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and drops from the honeycomb16.
19:11 Also Your servant is warned by them; in keeping of them is great reward. (Pr 13:13, Pr 3:1-2, Pr 29:18)
19:12 Who can discern errors? Acquit me from secret faults.
19:13 Also withhold Your servant from arrogant sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be complete, and I shall be innocent from great transgression.
19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing before You, O Yehovah, my Rock and my Redeemer.
20:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
May Yehovah answer you in the day of distress; the name of the Elohim of Ya'akov set you on high.
20:2 He sends your help from the sanctuary, and upholds you out of Zion.
20:3 He will remember all your offerings and make fat your burnt sacrifices. Selah.
20:4 He will give you according to your heart and He will fulfill all your plans.
20:5 We will rejoice in your Y’shua*, and in the name of our Elohim set up banners; may Yehovah fulfill all your prayers17.
20:6 Now I know that Yehovah saves (Hoshua) His Messiah, He answers him from His set apart Heaven with the mightiness of Y’shua*, His right hand.18
20:7 These trust in chariots, and these in horses, but we will make mention in the name of Yehovah our Elohim.19
20:8 They have bowed down and have fallen, but we have risen and stand upright.
20:9 O Yehovah, Hoshua, The King, answer us in the day of our calling.
21:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah in Your strength rejoices the king; and in your Y’shua*, how he greatly rejoices.
21:2 You have given him his heart's desire and have not withheld the prayer of his lips. Selah.
21:3 For You will precede him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.
21:4 He asked life from You: You gave to him length of days forever and ever.
21:5 His glory is great in Your salvation*; You have laid honor and majesty on him.
21:6 For You have set blessings for him forever; You have made him rejoice in the joy of Your face.
21:7 For the king trusts in Yehovah, and in the mercy of the Most High; he will not be shaken.
21:8 Your hand shall find out all Your enemies; Your right hand shall find out those who hate You.20
21:9 You shall set them as a fiery furnace in the time of Your presence; Yehovah will swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire will devour them.
21:10 You shall destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from the sons of men.
21:11 For they stretched forth evil against You; they imagined a plot; they cannot prevail,
21:12 for You shall make them turn the back; against their faces You shall make ready Your arrows on Your strings.
21:13 Be exalted, O Yehovah, in Your strength; we will sing, and sing psalms of Your power.
22:1 To the Chief Musician, on the deer of the dawn. A Psalm of David.
My El, My El, why have You forsaken Me, and are far from My deliverance, from the words of My groaning?
22:2 O my Elohim, I cry by day, but You do not answer; and in the night, and there is no silence to Me.
22:3 But You are set apart, sitting to judge the praises of Yisrael.
22:4 Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them.
22:5 They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed.
22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of mankind, and despised by the people. (Is 53:3)
22:7 All who see Me scornfully laugh at Me; they open the lip; they shake the head, saying,
22:8 He rolled on Yehovah, let Him deliver Him; let Him rescue Him, since He delights in Him.21
22:9 For You are He who took me out from the womb; causing Me to trust on My mother's breasts.
22:10 I was cast on You from the womb, from My mother's belly, You are My El.
22:11 Be not far from Me; for trouble is near; because no one is there to help.
22:12 Many bulls have circled around Me; strong bulls of Bashan have surrounded Me.
22:13 They opened their mouth on Me, like a lion ripping and roaring.
22:14 I am poured out like waters, and all My bones are spread apart; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels.
22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue clings to My jaws;22 (Joh 19:28)
22:16 and You appoint Me to the dust of death; for dogs have encircled Me; a band of spoilers have hemmed Me in, piercing My hands and My feet.23
22:17 I count all My bones; they look, they stare at Me.
22:18 They divide My garments among them, and they made fall a lot for My clothing. (Math 27:35)
22:19 But You, O Yehovah, be not far off; O My Strength, hurry to help Me!
22:20 Deliver My soul from the sword, My only one from the paw of the dog.
22:21 Save Me from the lion's mouth; and from the horns of the wild oxen. You have answered Me.
22:22 I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the assembly will I sing praise to You. (Ps 35:18, Heb 2:12)
22:23 You who fear Yehovah, praise Him; all the seed of Ya'akov, glorify Him; and all the seed of Yisrael, fear Him.
22:24 For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from Him, but when He cried to Him, He heard.
22:25 My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay My vows before those fearing Him.
22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Yehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever.
22:27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn back to Yehovah; and all the families of the nations shall worship before You.
22:28 For the kingdom belongs to Yehovah; and He is the ruler among the nations.
22:29 All the fat ones of the earth have eaten, and have worshiped; all those going down to the dust shall bow before Him; and He kept not His own soul alive.
22:30 A seed shall serve Him; it shall be spoken of Yehovah to the coming generation;
22:31 they shall come and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall yet be born; for He has done it.
23:1 A Psalm of David.
Yehovah is my shepherd; I shall not lack.24
23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me to waters of rest;25
23:3 He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.26
23:5 You prepare a table for me before ones vexing me; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.27
23:6 Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of Yehovah for days without end.
24:1 A Psalm of David.
The earth belongs to Yehovah, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it.28
24:2 For He has founded it on the seas and established it upon the rivers.
24:3 Who shall go up into the hill of Yehovah? And who shall stand in His set apart place?
24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceit.
24:5 He shall lift up the blessing from Yehovah, and righteousness from the Elohim of Y’shua*.
24:6 This is the generation of those seeking Him; they seek Your face, O Elohim of Ya'akov. Selah.
24:7 Lift up your heads, O gates; and be lifted up, O everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.
24:8 Who is this King of Glory? Yehovah strong and mighty! Yehovah mighty in battle!
24:9 Lift up your heads, O gates; even lift up, O everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.
24:10 Who is this King of Glory? Yehovah of Hosts, He is the King of Glory. Selah.29
25:1 A Psalm of David.
To You, O Yehovah, I lift up my soul.
25:2 O my Elohim, I trust in You; do not let me be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.
25:3 Yea, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those be ashamed those deceiving without cause.
25:4 Make me know Your ways, O Yehovah; teach me Your paths;
25:5 lead me in Your truth and teach me; for You are the Elohim of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.
25:6 Remember, O Yehovah, Your compassions and Your mercies; for they are from eternity.
25:7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, or my transgressions. According to Your mercy, remember me, for Your goodness' sake, O Yehovah.
25:8 Good and upright is Yehovah; therefore He will teach sinners in the way.
25:9 He will guide the meek in justice; and He will teach the meek His way.
25:10 All the paths of Yehovah are mercy and truth to those keeping His covenant and His testimonies.
25:11 For Your name's sake, O Yehovah, even pardon my iniquity for it is great.
25:12 What man is he who fears Yehovah? He teaches him the way he should choose.
25:13 His soul shall abide in good, and his seed shall inherit the earth.30
25:14 The secret of Yehovah is with those who fear Him; and He will make them know His covenant. (Pr 9:10)
25:15 My eyes are ever toward Yehovah; for He shall bring my feet out of the net.
25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
25:17 The straits of my heart are enlarged; O bring me out from my straits.
25:18 Look on my affliction and my pain, and lift up all my sins.
25:19 Look on my enemies, for they are many; they hate me with violent31 hating.
25:20 Keep my soul and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have sought refuge in You.
25:21 Let purity and uprightness keep me, for I wait on You.
25:22 Redeem Yisrael, O Elohim, out of all his distresses.
26:1 A Psalm of David.
Judge me, O Yehovah, for I have walked in my integrity; I also have trusted in Yehovah; I shall not slide.
26:2 Examine me, O Yehovah, and prove me; purify my reins and my heart.
26:3 For Your mercy is before my eyes; and I have walked in Your truth.
26:4 I have not sat with lying men; and I will not go in with hypocrites;
26:5 I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked.
26:6 I will wash my hands in innocence; so I will go around Your altar, O Yehovah,
26:7 to cause to hear with the voice of thanksgiving and recount all Your wonderful works.
26:8 O Yehovah, I have loved the place of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.
26:9 Do not gather up my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood,
26:10 in whose hand is a plot, and their right hand is full of a bribe.
26:11 But I will walk in my integrity; redeem me and be gracious to me.
26:12 My foot stands in an even place; in the assemblies I will bless Yehovah.
27:1 A Psalm of David.
Yehovah is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Yehovah is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
27:2 When the evildoers, my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
27:3 If an army should camp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war rises against me, in this I am trusting.
27:4 One thing I have asked from Yehovah, it I will seek: my dwelling in the house of Yehovah all the days of my life, to look the delight of Yehovah, and to inquire in His sanctuary.
27:5 For in the day of evil He shall hide me in His shelter; in the secrecy of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall lift me up on a rock.
27:6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies, my encirclers, and I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises to Yehovah.
27:7 Hear, O Yehovah, my voice when I call, and favor me, and answer me.
27:8 My heart said to You, Seek my face; Your face, O Yehovah, I will seek.
27:9 Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn away Your servant in anger; You have been my help, do not leave me nor forsake me, O Elohim of my salvation.
27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me then Yehovah will gather me.
27:11 Teach me Your way, O Yehovah, and lead me in a level path, because of those who watch me.
27:12 Do not give me into the soul of my foes; for false witnesses have risen up against me, and the ones breathing out violence.
27:13 I would have fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of Yehovah in the land of the living.
27:14 Hope in Yehovah; be strong and He will make strong your heart; yea, hope in Yehovah!
28:1 A Psalm of David.
I will call to You, O Yehovah; my Rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if You be silent from me I may be compared with those going down into the Pit.
28:2 Hear the voice of my prayers in my crying to You, when I lift my hands toward Your set apart of Holies.
28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity; who speak shalom with their neighbors, yet evil is in their hearts.
28:4 Give to them according to their deeds and according to the evil of their practices; as is the work of their hands, give to them, repay their deeds to them.
28:5 Because they pay no attention to the works of Yehovah, and to the works of His hands, He will destroy them, and not build them up.
28:6 Blessed be Yehovah, because He has heard the voice of my prayers.
28:7 Yehovah is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; yea, my heart greatly rejoices; and I will thank Him with my song.
28:8 Yehovah is their strength, and He is the fortress of Y’shua*, He is His Messiah.32
28:9 Save Your people and bless Your inheritance and feed them, and lift them up forever.
29:1 A Psalm of David.
Give to Yehovah, sons of mighty ones; give to Yehovah glory and strength.
29:2 Give to Yehovah the glory of His name;33 worship Yehovah in the majesty of set-apartness.
29:3 The voice of Yehovah is on the waters; the Elohim of glory thunders; Yehovah is above the abundant water.34
29:4 The voice of Yehovah is in power; the voice of Yehovah in majesty.
29:5 The voice of Yehovah breaks the cedars; yea, Yehovah breaks Lebanon's cedars.
29:6 He also makes them skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
29:7 The voice of Yehovah is cutting through the flame of fire.
29:8 The voice of Yehovah shakes the wilderness; Yehovah shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
29:9 The voice of Yehovah causes the does to calve; and He uncovers the forests. And in His sanctuary it all is saying, Glory!
29:10 Yehovah sits upon the flowing deluge; yea, Yehovah sits as King forever.
29:11 Yehovah will give strength to His people; Yehovah will bless His people with shalom.
30:1 A Psalm; a Song of Dedication of the House of David.
I will exalt You, O Yehovah; for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me.
30:2 O Yehovah my Elohim, I cried to You, and You have healed me.
30:3 O Yehovah, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, from going down into the Pit.
(Ps 16:10, Ps 86:13)
30:4 Sing praises to Yehovah, O set-apart ones of His; and give thanks to the memory of His set-apartness.
30:5 For His anger is only a moment; but in long life is His favor. Weeping may endure in the evening, but joy comes in the morning.
30:6 And in my prosperity, I said, I shall never be moved forever.
30:7 O Yehovah, in Your favor You have made my strong mountain to stand; You hid Your face; I was troubled;
30:8 I called to You, O Yehovah; and to my master I will pray.
30:9 What profit is in my blood, in going down to the Pit? Shall the dust praise You? Shall it tell of Your truth?
30:10 Hear, O Yehovah, and favor me; O Yehovah, be my helper.
30:11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have loosed my sackcloth and have clothed me with gladness.
30:12 So my glory shall praise You, and not be quiet; O Yehovah, my Elohim, I will give thanks to You forever.
31:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
In You, O Yehovah, I sought refuge; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness.
31:2 Bow down Your ear to me; deliver me quickly, be a strong rock to me, for a house of fortresses to save me.
31:3 For You are my Rock and my Fortress; and for Your name's sake lead me and guide me.
31:4 Bring me out of the net that they hid for me, for You are my strength.
31:5 Into Your hand I commit My ruach; You have redeemed Me, O Yehovah, El of truth. (Luk 23:46)
31:6 I have hated those keeping worthless idols; but I trust in Yehovah.
31:7 And I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy; for You have seen my affliction; You have known the affliction in my soul;
31:8 and have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have made my feet to stand in a broad place.
31:9 Give me your grace, O Yehovah, for I am in trouble; my eye has wasted away with grief, my soul and my belly.
31:10 For my life is ending with grief, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones have wasted away.
31:11 I was a reproach among all my foes, but exceedingly to my neighbors; and I was a dread to my friends; those seeing me fled outside from me.
31:12 I am forgotten like one dead from the heart; I am like a perishing vessel.
31:13 For I have heard the slander of many; fear is all around; because they are plotting together against me, they planned to take away my life.35
31:14 But I trusted in You, O Yehovah; I said, You are my Elohim.
31:15 My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me.
31:16 Make Your face shine on Your servant; save me in Your mercy.
31:17 Let me not be ashamed, O Yehovah; for I have called upon You; let the wicked be ashamed; let them be silent in Sheol.
31:18 Let the lying lips be silenced which speak recklessly against the righteous with pride and scorn.
31:19 How great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those who fear You; You have worked for those who trust in You before the sons of mankind.
31:20 In the secrecy of Your presence You shall hide them from man's plots; You shall cover them in a booth, from the strife of tongues.36
31:21 Blessed be Yehovah, for He has worked His mercy wondrously to me in a besieged city.
31:22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from Your eyes; surely You heard the voice of my prayers when I cried to You.
31:23 O love Yehovah, all you set-apart ones of His; Yehovah preserves the faithful, and abundantly repays the proud doer. (Ps 50:5, Ps 94:2)
31:24 Be strong, and He will make your heart stronger, all you who hope in Yehovah.

Blessed is he whose transgression is lifted, whose sin is covered.
32:2 Blessed is the man to whom Yehovah does not charge iniquity, and in whose ruach there is no deceit.37

32:4 For by day and by night Your hand was heavy on me; my sap was turned into the droughts of summer. Selah.
32:5 I confessed my sin to You, and I have not hidden my iniquity; I said, I will confess over my transgression to Yehovah; and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.38
32:6 On account of this let every righteous one pray to You, at a time of finding; surely, when great floods come they will not reach him.
32:7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.
32:9 Be not like the horse, like the mule, with no understanding; with bit and bridle his gear to be held in, that they do not come near you.
32:10 Many sorrows are to the wicked; but he who trusts in Yehovah, mercy embraces him.39
32:11 Be glad in Yehovah and rejoice, you righteous ones; and all the upright in heart, shout for joy.
33:1 Rejoice in Yehovah, O righteous ones; praise is becoming to the upright.
33:2 Give thanks to Yehovah with the lyre; sing to Him with a harp of ten strings.
33:3 Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, with shouts of joy.
33:4 For the Word of Yehovah is right, and all His works are in truth.
33:5 He loves righteousness and judgment; the mercy of Yehovah fills the earth.
33:6 Through the Word of Yehovah the heavens were made; and all their host were made by the breath of His mouth. (Ps 104:29-30)

33:11 The counsel of Yehovah stands forever, the thoughts of His heart from generation to generation.
33:12 Blessed is the nation whose Elohim is Yehovah, the people He has chosen for His inheritance.40
33:13 Yehovah looks down from Heaven; He sees all the sons of mankind.
33:14 From His dwelling place He looks on all the ones living in the earth.
33:15 He forms the heart; He understands all their works.
33:16 The king is not saved by great force; a mighty man is not saved by great strength.
33:17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; nor does he save by his great strength.
33:18 Look the eye of Yehovah is to those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy; (Pr 9:10)
33:19 to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
33:20 Our soul waits for Yehovah; He is our help and shield.
33:21 For our heart rejoices in Him because we trust in His set apart name.41
33:22 Let Your mercy be upon us, O Yehovah, even as we wait for You.
34:1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; and he drove him away, and he went.
I will bless Yehovah at all times; His praise shall always be in my mouth.
34:2 My soul shall make its boast in Yehovah; the humble shall hear and be glad.
34:3 O magnify Yehovah with me; and let us exalt His name together.
34:4 I sought Yehovah, and He answered me, and delivered me out of all my fear.
34:5 They looked to Him and were filled with light; and their faces were not ashamed.
34:6 This poor man cried; and Yehovah heard, and saved him out of all his distress.
34:7 The Messenger of Yehovah camps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.42
34:8 Taste and see that Yehovah is good; blessed is the man seeking refuge in Him.
34:9 Fear Yehovah, His set apart ones, for they who fear Him lack nothing.
34:10 The young lions have lacked and been hungry; but they who seek Yehovah shall not lack any good thing.
34:11 My sons, come, listen to Me; I will make known to you the fear of Yehovah.43
34:12 Who is the man who desires life, who loves days in order to see good?
34:13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile;
34:14 Turn from evil and do good; seek shalom and pursue it.
34:15 The eyes of Yehovah are on the righteous; and His ears are open to their cry.
34:16 The face of Yehovah is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.

34:22 Yehovah is redeeming the soul of His servants; and none of those who seek refuge in Him shall perish.
35:1 A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, contend with those who strive against me; fight those who fight against me.
35:2 Take hold of a shield and buckler, and arise as my help.
35:3 Draw out the spear and close ranks to meet my pursuers; say to my soul, I am your salvation.
35:4 Let those who seek my soul be ashamed and disgraced; let them be turned back and brought to confusion, those who plot evil to me.
35:5 Let them be as chaff before the wind, and the Messenger of Yehovah driving them away.
35:6 Let their way be dark and slippery, and the Messenger of Yehovah their pursuer.
35:7 For they have hidden their pit-net for me without cause; without cause they have dug for my soul.
35:8 Let destruction come on him; he will not know; and let his net which he concealed catch him; let him fall in it, into destruction.
35:9 And my soul shall be joyful in Yehovah; it will rejoice in His Y’shua*.
35:10 All my bones shall say: O Yehovah, who is like You, who delivers the poor from those stronger than he; yes, the poor and needy from his plunderer?
35:11 Witnesses of violence rise up; they asked me what I did not know;
35:12 they rewarded me evil for good, bereaving my soul.
35:13 But in their sickness, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fastings; and my prayer returned to my bosom.
35:14 I walked as a friend, as to my brother; as one who mourns a mother, I was bowed down mourning.
35:15 But they rejoiced in my limping; and assembling the defamers assembled themselves against me; and I did not know; they tore and were not silent;
35:16 with the wicked they were mockers for a cake, gnashing their teeth on me.
35:17 O Yehovah, how long will You look on? Bring back my soul from their desolations, my only one from the lions.
35:18 I will thank You in the great assembly, and I will praise You among a mighty people. (Ps 22:22, Heb 2:12)
35:19 Let not my lying enemies rejoice over me; do not let those who hate me without cause wink the eye.
35:20 For they do not speak shalom; but they devise deceitful things against the quiet ones of the earth.
35:21 And they open their mouth wide against me; they say, Aha! Aha! Our eyes have seen.
35:22 You have seen, O Yehovah; do not keep silence, O Yehovah do not be far from me.
35:23 Stir Yourself and awaken to my judgment, to my cause, my Elohim and my Adonai.
35:24 Judge me, O Yehovah my Elohim, according to Your righteousness; and do not let them rejoice over me.
35:25 Let them not say in their hearts, Aha! Our soul! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
35:26 Let them be ashamed and be confounded together, the ones who rejoice at my evil; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor, the ones who magnify themselves against me.
35:27 Let those who delight in my justification shout and rejoice;44 and they shall say continually, Yehovah be magnified, delighting in the shalom of His servant.
35:28 And my tongue will speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day.
36:1 To the chief musician; of the servant of Yehovah; of David.
The oracle utters transgression to the wicked within my heart, There is no fear of Elohim before his eyes.
36:2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes, to find his iniquity to be hated.
36:3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he ceases to act wisely, to do good.
36:4 He plots iniquity on his bed; he sets himself on a way that is not good; he does not hate evil.
36:5 Your mercy, O Yehovah, is in the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds.
36:6 Your righteousness is like the hills of El; Your judgments are a great deep; O Yehovah, You preserve animal and man.
36:7 How precious is Your mercy, O Elohim! And the sons of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
36:8 They shall be satisfied from the fatness of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures.
36:9 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.
36:10 O continue Your mercy to the ones knowing You, and Your righteousness to the upright of heart.
36:11 Do not let the foot of pride come to me; and let not the hand of the wicked move me.
36:12 There the workers of evil have fallen; they are cast down and are not able to rise.45
37:1 A Psalm of David.
Do not inflame yourself with evildoers; and do not be envious against workers of perversity;
37:2 for they soon wither like grass and fade like the green herb.
37:3 Trust in Yehovah and do good; live in the land and feed on faithfulness.
37:4 And delight yourself in Yehovah, that He may give you your heart's desire.
37:5 Roll your way on Yehovah and trust in Him; and He will work.
37:6 And He will bring forth your righteousness like the light; and your judgment like the noon day.
37:7 Rest in Yehovah and wait patiently for Him; inflame not yourself with him who prospers in his way, with the man practicing evil wiles.
37:8 Abstain from anger and cease from fury; also do not inflame yourself to do evil.
37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off; and the ones waiting on Yehovah, they shall inherit the land.46
37:10 It is but a little while and the wicked shall not be; yea, you shall consider his place, and he is not.
37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth;47 yea, they shall delight themselves in abundant shalom.
37:12 The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes on him with his teeth;
37:13 Yehovah laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. (Ps 2:4)
37:14 The wicked have drawn out the sword and they have bent their bow, to cause the poor and needy to fall, to slaughter those who walk uprightly.
37:15 Their sword shall enter into their heart, and their bows shall be broken.
37:16 A little to the righteous is better than the abundance of many wicked.
37:17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but Yehovah upholds the righteous.
37:18 Yehovah knows the days of the upright; yea, their inheritance shall be forever.
37:19 They shall not be ashamed in an evil time; and they shall be full in days of famine.
37:20 But the wicked shall perish; yea, the enemies of Yehovah shall be like the beauty of pastures; they are consumed; like smoke, they vanish.
37:21 The wicked borrows and never re-pays, but the righteous is gracious and giving.48
37:22 For His blessed ones inherit the earth; and those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
37:23 The steps of a good man are established from Yehovah; and He will delight in his way.
37:24 Though he falls, he is not cast down; for Yehovah upholds his hand.
37:25 I have been young and am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread.
37:26 All the day he is gracious and lends; and his seed is for a blessing.
37:27 Turn away from evil and do good and live forever.
37:28 For Yehovah loves judgment and does not forsake His set-apart ones; they are preserved forever; but the wickeds' seed shall be cut off.
37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land and live on it forever.
37:30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks judgment.
37:31 The Torah of his Elohim is in his heart; his steps do not slide.49
37:32 The wicked spies on the righteous and seeks to kill him.
37:33 Yehovah does not leave him in his hand; nor does He allow him to be found guilty in his judgment.
37:34 Wait on Yehovah and keep His way; and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; you shall see when the wicked are cut off.
37:35 I have seen the wicked ruthless, even spreading himself out like a luxuriant, native tree;
37:36 yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.
37:37 Watch the perfect and look the upright one; for the end of that man is shalom.
37:38 But the transgressors are destroyed together; the end of the wicked is cut off.
37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is from Yehovah; He is their strength in the time of distress.
37:40 And Yehovah helps them and delivers them; He shall deliver them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.
38:1 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.
O Yehovah, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, and do not chasten me in Your fury.
38:2 For Your arrows sink in me, and Your hand presses heavily on me.
38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger; nor shalom in my bones because of my sin.
38:4 For my iniquities have passed over my head; as a heavy burden too heavy for me.
38:5 My wounds have putrefied and rotted because of my foolishness.
38:6 I am bent down, I am bowed down exceedingly; I went mourning all the day.
38:7 For my loins are filled with a burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
38:8 I am exceedingly benumbed and crushed. I howl from the groanings of my heart.
38:9 Adonai, all my desire is before You, and my sighing is not hidden from You.
38:10 My heart throbs; my power forsakes me! And the light of my eyes, they also are not with me.
38:11 My lovers and my friends stand apart from my stroke, and my neighbors have stood far off.
38:12 And those seeking my life lay a snare; yea, those seeking my evil speak ruin, and they utter deceits all the day long.
38:13 But like a deaf one I do not hear; and I am like a dumb one who does not open his mouth. (Is 42:19-20)
38:14 And I am as a man who is not hearing, and who has no rebukes in his mouth.
38:15 For I hope in You, O Yehovah; O Adonai my Elohim You will answer.
38:16 For I said, Lest they rejoice over me in the slipping of my foot; they exalt themselves over me.
38:17 For I am ready to fall and my pain is before me always.
38:18 For I will confess my perversity; I am anxious from my sin.
38:19 And my enemies are living; they are strong; and ones hating me have multiplied; they lie.
38:20 And those who repay evil for good, they oppose me, because the good follows me.
38:21 O Yehovah, do not forsake me! O my Elohim, do not be far from me.
38:22 Make haste to help me, O my Adonai, my salvation.
39:1 To the chief musician, to Yeduthun. A Psalm of David.
I said, I will keep my ways from sinning with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a muzzle while the wicked are before me.(Mat 12;34-37, Pr 10:19)
39:2 I became mute and still; from good I was silent, and my pain was stirred.
39:3 My heart was hot within me; while the fire burned I was meditating; I spoke with my tongue,
39:4 O Yehovah, make me to know my end and the limit of my days, what it is. Let me know how lacking I am.50
39:5 Look, like a handbreadth You gave my days; even my life was nonexistence before You;
39:6 surely every man walks about in shadow; surely they are in an uproar in vain; he heaps up and does not know who is gathering them.
39:7 And now what do I await, Yehovah? My hope is in You.
39:8 Deliver me from all my transgressions; do not set me forth as the reproach of the fool.
39:9 I was mute; I did not open my mouth, because You had done it.
39:10 Turn away Your plague from me; I am consumed by the blow of Your hand.
39:11 You correct a man with rebukes over perversity; and as a moth You melt away what he desires. Surely every man is vanity. Selah.
39:12 Hear my prayer, O Yehovah, and give ear to my cry. Do not be silent at my tears, for I am an alien with You, a pilgrim, as were all my fathers. (Heb 11:9)
39:13 Look away from me and I will be cheerful before I go away and be no more.
40:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
Waiting I have waited on Yehovah; and He turned to me and heard my cry.
40:2 And He drew me up from the pit of tumult, out of the miry clay; He lifted my feet on a rock; He directed my steps.
40:3 And He put a new song of praise to our Elohim in my mouth; many shall see and shall fear and shall trust in Yehovah.
40:4 Blessed is the man who sets Yehovah as his trust, and does not turn to the proud, or to those who turn to a lie.
40:5 Many things have You done, O Yehovah my Elohim; Your works of wonder and Your purposes toward us; there is none to set them in order to You; I will declare and I will speak; they are more than can be counted.
40:6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; But a body You have prepared for Me. You have not asked burnt offering and sin offering.
40:7 Then I said, Lo, I come, in the roll of the Scroll it is written of Me;
40:8 I delight to do Your will, O My Elohim; and Your Torah is within My inmost soul.51
40:9 I have announced righteousness in the great assembly; look, I will not restrain My lips; O Yehovah You know.
40:10 I have not concealed Your righteousness in My heart; I speak Your faithfulness and Your salvation (salvation*). I have not hidden Your loving-kindness and Your truth from the great assembly.52
40:11 Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Yehovah; let Your loving kindness and Your truth always watch over me.
40:12 For evils have surrounded me until there is no number; my iniquities have taken hold on me and I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails me.
40:13 Be pleased to deliver me, O Yehovah; hasten to my help.
40:14 Let those seeking my soul to destroy it, be ashamed and humbled together; let those delighting in my evil be driven back and disgraced.
40:15 Let them be desolate until it is the reward for their shame; for they are saying to me, Aha! Aha!
40:16 Let all who are seeking You be glad in You and always say, May Yehovah be magnified, those loving Your salvation.
40:17 But I am poor and needy; Yehovah will take thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my Elohim, do not delay.53
41:1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
Blessed is he who acts wisely toward the poor; Yehovah will deliver him in the day of evil. (Pr 14:21, Pr 28:27)
41:2 Yehovah will watch over him and keep him alive; he shall be blessed on the earth, and You will not deliver him to the soul of his enemies.
41:3 Yehovah will uphold him on the couch of sickness; You change all his bed in his sickness.
41:4 I said, O Yehovah be gracious to me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.
41:5 My enemies speak evil of me, saying, When will he die and his name perish?
41:6 And when he comes to see me he speaks vanity; his heart gathers iniquity to itself; he goes outside and speaks.
41:7 All those hating me whisper together against me; they plot evil against me,
41:8 saying, a thing of ruin is poured out on him; and, He who lies down shall not rise again.
41:9 Even a man of my shalom, I trusted in him, eating of my bread; this one has lifted up his heel against me.
41:10 But You, O Yehovah, give me your grace and raise me up, and I will repay them.
41:11 By this I know that You delight in me, because my enemy does not exult over me.
41:12 And I, in my integrity You uphold me, and You set Your face before me forever.
41:13 Blessed be Yehovah Elohim of Yisrael, even from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen!
42:1 To the chief musician. A Contemplation for the sons of Korah.
As the deer pants after the channels of water, so my soul pants after You, O Elohim.
42:2 My soul thirsts for Elohim, for the living Elohim; when shall I come and see the face of Elohim?54
42:3 My tears have been my food by day and by night, while they say to me all the day, where is your Elohim?
42:4 When I remember these things and I pour out my soul on me (for I crossed with the throng; I led them to the house of Elohim with the voice of rejoicing and praise, a host keeping the feast).
42:5 O my soul, why are you cast down and moan within me? Hope in Elohim, for I shall yet thank Him Y’shua*, to His face.
42:6 O my Elohim, my soul is cast down within me; on account of this I remember You from the land of Jordan, and from the Hermons, from Mount Mizar.
42:7 Deep calls to deep through the voice of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and Your billows have passed over me.
42:8 Yehovah will command His loving-kindness by day, and His song shall be with me in the night, a prayer to the El of my life.
42:9 I will say to El my Rock, Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning when the enemy oppresses me?
42:10 Ones vexing me reproach me with crushing in my bones, when they say to me every day, Where is your Elohim?
42:11 O my soul, why are you cast down? And why do you moan within me? Hope in Elohim, for I yet thank Him for the Savior of my face and also He is my Elohim.55
43:1 Judge me, O Elohim, and strive for my cause against a nation that is not righteous. Deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
43:2 For You are the Elohim of my strength. Why have You cast me off? Why do I go mourning when the enemy oppresses?
43:3 O send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me and bring me to the mount of Your set-apartness and to Your tabernacles.
43:4 Then I will go to the altar of Elohim, to El, the joy of my delight, and I will thank with the lyre, O Elohim, my El.
43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why do you moan within me? Hope in Elohim, for I will still thank Him for the Savior of my face and also He is my Elohim.56
44:1 To the chief musician. A Contemplation for the sons of Korah.
We have heard with our ears, O Elohim; our fathers have told us the work You did in their days, in the days of old.
44:2 You drove out nations with Your hand and planted them. You brought evil on peoples and sent them out.
44:3 For they did not inherit the land with their own sword; yea, their own arm did not save them. But it was Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your face, because You favored them.57
44:4 You are He, my King, O Elohim; command deliverances for Ya'akov.
44:5 Through You we will push our enemies; through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.
44:6 For I will not trust in my bow, and my sword shall not save me.
44:7 But You have saved us from our enemies and have put to shame those who hate us.
44:8 We boast in Elohim all the day; and we praise Your name forever. Selah.58
44:9 Now You have cast us off and have shamed us. And You do not go forth with our armies.
44:10 You make us turn back from the enemy; yea, those hating us plunder for themselves.
44:11 You have given us like sheep for food and have scattered us among the nations.
44:12 For no gain You have sold Your people, and You are not increased by their price.
44:13 You made us a disgrace to our neighbors, a scorn and a mockery to those around us.
44:14 You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
44:15 My humiliation is before me all the day; yea, the shame of my face covers me,
44:16 because of the slanderer's voice and the blasphemer, before the face of the enemy and avenger.
44:17 All this has come upon us, and we have not forgotten You nor dealt falsely with Your covenant.
44:18 Our heart has not turned back, and our steps have not swerved from Your way,
44:19 though You have crushed us in the place of jackals and covered us over with the death-shade.
44:20 If we have forgotten the name of our Elohim, and have spread our hands to an alien god,
44:21 shall not Elohim search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
44:22 Yea, for Your sake we are slain all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter. (Is 53:6)
44:23 Be aroused! Why do You sleep, O Yehovah? Awake! Do not cast us off forever. ( Ps 7:6, Ps 78:65)
44:24 Why do You hide Your face and forget our affliction and distress?
44:25 For our soul bows down to the dust; our belly holds fast to the earth.
44:26 Arise for our help and redeem us for the sake of Your mercy.
45:1 To the Chief Musician, Concerning the Lilies. For the sons of Korah. A Poem; a Song of the Beloved.
My heart is overflowing with a good matter. I am speaking of my works to the King; my tongue is the pen of a rapid writer.
45:2 You are the fairest of the sons of man; grace has poured into Your lips; on this account Elohim has blessed You forever.
45:3 Gird Your sword on Your thigh, Mighty One; with Your glory and Your majesty.
45:4 And ride prosperously in Your majesty, on the matter of truth and meekness and right, and Your right hand shall teach You fearful things.59
45:5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; peoples fall under You.
45:6 Your throne given of Elohim , is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.
45:7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore, Elohim, Your Elohim, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your fellows.60
45:8 All Your garments smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia out of ivory palaces; by strings of a harp they make You glad.61
45:9 King's daughters are among Your precious ones; the queen stands at Your right hand in gold of Ophir.
45:10 Listen, O daughter, and look, and incline your ear, and forget your people and your father's house.
45:11 And the King will desire your beauty, for He is your master, and you shall worship Him.
45:12 And the daughter of Tyre will stroke Your face with a gift, the rich among the peoples.
45:13 The king's daughter is all glorious within, her clothing braided gold.
45:14 She shall be led to the King in embroidered work; her companions, the virgins, shall be brought to You after her.
45:15 They shall be led with gladness and rejoicing; they shall go in to the King's palace.
45:16 Your sons shall be in the place of your fathers; You will make them for rulers in all the earth.
45:17 I will make remembered Your name in every generation and generation; on this account people shall thank You forever and ever.62
46:1 To the chief musician. For the sons of Korah; A song. For the Virgins.63
Elohim is our refuge and strength, very much found to be a help in distresses.
46:2 On account of this we will not fear when the earth changes and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas.
46:3 Let its waters rage and foam; let the mountains shake in its swelling. Selah.
46:4 There is a river, its channels gladden the city of Elohim, the set apart tabernacles of the Most High.64
46:5 Elohim is in the midst of her; she shall not be shaken; Elohim will help her at the turning of the morning.
46:6 The nations roared; kingdoms were shaken; He gave forth His voice and the earth melted.
46:7 Yehovah of Hosts is with us; the Elohim of Ya'akov is a refuge for us. Selah.
46:8 Come, look the works of Yehovah, who sets ruins on the earth,
46:9 causing wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts apart spears; He burns the chariots in the fire. (Mic 4:3)
46:10 Be still and know that I am Elohim! I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.
46:11 Yehovah of Hosts is with us; the Elohim of Ya'akov is a refuge for us. Selah.
47:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
All the peoples clap the hand; shout aloud with a ringing cry of shouting.
47:2 For Yehovah Most High is awesome, a great King over all the earth.
47:3 He shall speak peoples under us, even nations under our feet.
47:4 He chooses our inheritance for us, the majesty of Ya'akov whom He loved. Selah.
47:5 Elohim has gone up with a shout, Yehovah with the sound of a ram's horn.
47:6 Sing praise; sing praise; sing praise to our King, sing praise!
47:7 For Elohim is the King of all the earth; sing a psalm for understanding.
47:8 Elohim reigns over the nations; Elohim sits on the throne of His set-apartness.
47:9 The nobles of peoples gather together, the people of the Elohim of Abraham. For the shields of the earth are Elohim's; He is greatly lifted up.65
48:1 A Song, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
Great is Yehovah, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our Elohim, His set apart mountain.
48:2 Beautiful on high, the joy of all the earth, is Mount Zion, in the sides of the north, the city of the great King.66
48:3 Elohim is known in her strongholds for a refuge.
48:4 For, lo, the kings met together; they passed by together;
48:5 they saw, so they marveled; they were troubled and fled away.
48:6 Trembling and pain seized them there, like a woman in labor.
48:7 You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
48:8 As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of Yehovah of Hosts, in the city of our Elohim. Elohim establishes it forever. Selah.
48:9 We have thought on Your loving-kindness, O Elohim, in the midst of Your sanctuary.
48:10 According to Your name, O Elohim, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.
48:11 Mount Zion shall be glad; the daughters of Yehudah shall shout for joy because of Your judgments.
48:12 Walk around Zion; yea, go all around it; count its towers;
48:13 set your heart on its ramparts; pass between its strongholds; in order that you may report to the coming generation.
48:14 For this Elohim is our Elohim forever and ever; He will be our guide even unto death.
49:1 To the chief musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
Hear this, all peoples, give ear, all those living in the world,
49:2 both sons of mankind and sons of man together, rich and poor:
49:3 My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the thoughts of my heart shall be of understanding.
49:4 I will bow down my ear to a parable; I will open my dark saying on the harp. (Ps 78:1-2, Math 13:34-35)
49:5 Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the perversity of my ambushers will surround me?
49:6 Those who trust in their wealth and in their many riches boast themselves.
49:7 A man cannot at all redeem a brother, nor give to Elohim a ransom for him,
49:8 for the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases forever,67
49:9 for he shall yet live forever; he shall never see corruption.
49:10 For he sees wise men die; together the fool and the animal-like ones perish and leave their riches to others.
49:11 Their inward thought is that their houses shall last forever, their dwelling-places to all generations; they call lands after their own names.68
49:12 But man shall not remain high in honor; he is like the animals; they shall be cut off.
49:13 This way of theirs is folly to them, yet their followers shall be pleased by their mouth. Selah.
49:14 Like sheep, they are appointed to Sheol. Death shall reign for them. And upright ones shall rule over them in the morning; and their strength is for rotting; Sheol is home for him.
49:15 But Elohim will redeem my soul from the hand of Sheol, for He will take me. Selah. (Ps 16:10-11)
49:16 Do not be afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases;
49:17 for when he dies he shall take nothing; his glory shall not go down after him.
49:18 For in his life he blessed his soul; yea, men praise you when you do well for yourself.
49:19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall not see light forever.
49:20 Man, though high in honor, but not understanding, is like the animals; they shall be cut off.69
50:1 A Psalm of Asaph.
El, Yehovah Elohim, has spoken, and calls to the earth from the rising of the sun to its going in.
50:2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, Elohim has shone.
50:3 Our Elohim comes, and He is not silent; a fire shall devour before Him; and it shall be very stormy around Him.
50:4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, to judge His people.
50:5 Gather My set-apart ones together to Me, those who cut My covenant by sacrifice.70 (Yer 34:18, Ex 24:8)
50:6 And the heavens shall declare His righteousness, for Elohim Himself is judge. Selah.
50:7 Hear, My people, and I will speak, O Yisrael, and I will testify against you; I am Elohim, your Elohim.
50:8 Not for your sacrifices do I reprove you; yea, your burnt offerings are continually before Me;
50:9 I will take no bull out of your house, nor he-goats out of your folds,
50:10 for every beast of the forest is Mine; the cattle on a thousand hills;
50:11 I know all the birds of the mountains; and all moving in My fields are Mine;
50:12 if I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is Mine, and the fullness of it.
50:13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, and will I drink the blood of he-goats?
50:14 Sacrifice thanksgiving to Elohim, and repay your vows to the Most High. (Ps 22:25, Ps 66:13)
50:15 And call on Me in the day of distress, and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.
50:16 But to the wicked, Elohim says, What is it to you to proclaim My statutes, and to take up My covenant on your mouth?
50:17 And you hate discipline and toss My Words behind you. (Pr 5:12, 12:1)
50:18 When you saw a thief, you were pleased with him; and with adulterers is your part.
50:19 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.
50:20 You sit; you speak against your brother; you give fault to the son of your mother.
50:21 You have done these things, and I have kept silence; you thought that surely I would be like you; but I will rebuke you and set in order before your eyes.
50:22 Now think of this, you who forget Eloah, lest I tear, and there not be any to deliver:
50:23 Whoever sacrifices thanks glorifies Me; and he who determines his course of life, I will show him salvation Elohim.71
51:1 To the chief musician, A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
Let your grace be to me, O Elohim, according to Your loving-kindness, according to the multitude of Your tender mercies; blot out my transgressions.
51:2 Wash me completely from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
51:3 For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.
51:4 Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done evil in Your eyes; that You might be justified in Your speaking and be clear when You judge.72
51:5 Look, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.
51:6 Look, You desire truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden parts You teach me wisdom.
51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
51:8 Cause me to hear joy and gladness; the bones You have crushed will rejoice.
51:9 Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim; and renew a steadfast ruach within me.
51:11 Do not cast me out from Your presence, and do not take Your set apart ruach from me.73
51:12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation (salvation*), and uphold me with a willing ruach.
51:13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways; and sinners will turn back to You.
51:14 Deliver me from the guilt of shedding blood, O Elohim, O Elohim of my salvation; my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
51:15 O Yehovah, open my lips and my mouth shall declare Your praise.
51:16 For you do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. (Yer 7:21-23)
51:17 The sacrifices of Elohim are a broken ruach; a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohim, You will not despise.74
51:18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; build the walls of Yerushalayim.
51:19 Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole offering; then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.75
52:1 To the chief musician. A Contemplation. A Psalm of David when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech.
Why do you boast yourself in evil, O hero? The mercy of El is all the day.
52:2 Like a sharp razor your tongue devises destruction, working deceit.
52:3 You love evil more than good, lying more than to speak righteousness. Selah.
52:4 You love all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!
52:5 El will likewise break you forever; He shall take you away, even pluck you from your tent and uproot you out of the land of the living. Selah.
52:6 And the righteous shall see and fear; yea, they will laugh over him, saying,
52:7 Look, the man who did not set Elohim as his strength; but he trusted in his many riches; he was strong in his destruction.
52:8 But I am like an olive, greening in the house of Elohim; I trust in the mercy of Elohim forever and ever.
52:9 I will thank You forever, because You have done it; and I will wait in Your name, for it is good before Your set-apart ones.
53:1 To the Chief musician on Mahalath. A Contemplation; A Psalm of David.
The fool has said in his heart, There is no Elohim! They have done corruptly; they have committed abominable wickedness; there is none doing good!
53:2 Elohim looked down from Heaven on the sons of mankind, to see if there was any discerning, who was seeking Elohim:
53:3 Every one has turned aside, together they are corrupted, not one is doing good, not even one!(Ro 3:10-12)
53:4 Have the workers of evil not known, eating up My people as they eat bread? They have not called on Elohim.
53:5 There they dreaded with dread, where no dread was; for Elohim has scattered the bones of the one who besieges you; you have put them to shame because Elohim rejects them.
53:6 Who gives from Zion salvation* of Yisrael? When Elohim brings back the captivity of His people, Ya'akov shall rejoice; Yisrael shall be glad.76
54:1 To the Chief Musician on Neginoth. A Contemplation; A Psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Does not David hide himself among us?
Save me, O Elohim, by Your name; and judge me by Your strength.
54:2 Hear my prayer, O Elohim; listen to the words of my mouth.
54:3 For strangers have risen up against me; and terrifying men seek after my soul; they have not set Elohim before them. Selah.
54:4 Look, Elohim is my helper. Yehovah is with those who uphold my soul.
54:5 He shall reward evil to my enemies; cut them off in Your truth.
54:6 I will freely sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, O Yehovah, for it is good.
54:7 For He has delivered me out of all distress; and my eye has seen its desire on my enemies.
55:1 To the Chief Musician on Neginoth. A Contemplation. A Psalm of David.
Give ear to my prayer, O Elohim; and do not hide Yourself from my plea.77
55:2 Pay attention to me, and answer me; I wander and I moan in my complaint,
55:3 from the voice of the enemy, from the oppression of the wicked; for they shake trouble over me, and in anger they hate me.
55:4 My heart is pained within me, and the terrors of death have fallen on me.
55:5 Fear and trembling come on me; and horror has covered me.
55:6 And I said, Who will give to me wings like a dove? I would fly away and be at rest.
55:7 I would rove far away, fleeing; I would lodge in the wilderness. Selah.
55:8 I would hasten to my escape from the rushing wind, from the tempest.
55:9 Swallow up, O Yehovah; divide their tongue; for I see violence78 and strife in the city.
55:10 They go around her on her walls by day and night; and trouble and mischief are in her midst.
55:11 Covetings are in her midst; oppression and guile will not depart from her streets.
55:12 For it is not an enemy reproaching me, or I could bear it; it is not one who hates me who is magnifying himself against me; or I would hide myself from him.
55:13 But it is you, a man of my rank, my friend and my acquaintance.
55:14 We sweetened counsel together; we marched into the house of Elohim with the throng.
55:15 Desolation be upon them! They go down into Sheol alive, for evils are among them in their dwelling.
55:16 I, even I, will call to Elohim, and Yehovah will save me.
55:17 Evening and morning and at noon I will complain and cry aloud; and He will hear my voice. (Dan 6:10)
55:18 He redeems my soul in shalom from the war being waged against me; for they were many with me.
55:19 Elohim shall hear and answer them, even He who is enthroned of old. Selah. There are no changes to them; yea, they do not fear Elohim.
55:20 He put out his hand against peaceful ones; he broke his covenant.
55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, and war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, but they were as drawn swords.
55:22 Cast on Yehovah what He has given, and He will keep you; He will not give the righteous to waver, forever.
55:23 But You, O Elohim, will bring them down to the pit of destruction; men of blood and deceit will not live out half their days; but I will trust in You.
56:1 To the chief musician. Concerning the silent dove, those far off. Of David, a secret treasure (when the Philistines seized him in Gath).
Give me your grace, O Elohim, for man snuffs me up; all the day fighting oppresses me.
56:2 My watchers panted for me all the day; for many are proudly fighting against me.
56:3 The day I am afraid I will trust in You.
56:4 In Elohim I will praise His Word; in Elohim I have trusted; I will not fear; what will flesh do to me?
56:5 All the day they pervert my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
56:6 They stir up strife; they hide; they observe my footprints as they wait for my soul.
56:7 Is escape for them by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O Elohim.
56:8 You have counted my wandering; O put my tear in Your bottle; are they not in Your Scroll?79
56:9 Then my enemies will turn back in the day I call; this I know, for Elohim is for me.
56:10 In Elohim I will praise the Word; in Yehovah I will praise the Word.
56:11 In Elohim I have trusted; I will not fear; what will man do to me?
56:12 On me, O Elohim, are Your vows; I will render to You thank offerings.
56:13 For You have delivered my soul from death. Do You not keep my feet from falling, so that I may walk before Elohim in the light of the living?
57:1 To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.
Be merciful to me, O Elohim, be merciful to me, for my soul trusts in You; yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my hiding place, until the great destruction passes by.
57:2 I will cry to Elohim Most High, to El who works for me.
57:3 He shall send from Heaven and save me: and He will shame the one who crushes me. Selah. Elohim shall send His mercy and His truth.
57:4 My soul is among lions; I lie among those on fire, the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue is a sharp sword.
57:5 Be praised above the heavens, O Elohim; let Your glory be over the whole earth.
57:6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before me; they have fallen into it. Selah. (Eccl 10:8)
57:7 My heart is fixed, O Elohim, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise.
57:8 Wake up my glory! Wake up, harp and lyre! I will stir the morning dawn with praise. (1Chron 23:30)
57:9 I will praise You among the peoples, O Yehovah, I will sing to You among the nations.
57:10 For Your mercy is great to the heavens, and Your truth to the clouds.
57:11 Be exalted above the heavens, O Elohim; Your glory over the whole earth.
58:1 To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David.
Will you indeed speak righteousness in silence? Do you judge uprightly, O sons of men?
58:2 Yes, in your heart you work wickedness, you weigh the violence of your hands in the land.
58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from the belly, speaking lies.80
58:4 Their poison is like the poison of a snake; like the deaf adder he stops his ear,
58:5 which will not hear the charmer's voice, skillful charmer of charms.
58:6 O Elohim, break their teeth in their mouth; break out the big teeth of the young lions, O Yehovah.
58:7 Let them melt away like waters; they flow off to them; he treads his arrows; let them be as though they were cut off;
58:8 Let them be as a snail that goes into melting, a miscarriage of a woman; they do not see the sun.
58:9 Before your pots can discern the thorns, whether green or glowing, He shall sweep it away.
58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he sees vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
58:11 And man will say, Truly, a fruit is to the righteous; Truly, there is an Elohim; They are judging in the earth.81
59:1 To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.
Deliver me from my enemies, O my Elohim; set me on high from the ones who rise up against me.
59:2 Deliver me from the workers of evil, and save me from bloody men.
59:3 For lo, they lie in wait for my soul, mighty ones gather against me; not for my transgression, and not for my sin, O Yehovah.
59:4 Without my fault they run and prepare themselves; awaken to help me, and look on me.
59:5 And You, O Yehovah Elohim of Hosts, the Elohim of Yisrael: Awake to visit all the nations; be not merciful to any slyly plotting evil. Selah.
59:6 They return at evening; they howl like a dog, and go around the city.
59:7 Look, they bellow with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for they say, Who hears?
59:8 But You, O Yehovah, shall laugh at them; you shall mock at all the nations.
59:9 O my Strength, let me look to You; for Elohim is my strong tower.
59:10 The Elohim of my mercy shall go before me; Elohim shall let me see my desire on my enemies.
59:11 Do not kill them, lest my people forget; scatter them by Your power and bring them down, O Yehovah our shield.
59:12 For the sin of their mouth is the word of their lips, even let them be captured in their pride, and for cursing and the lying which they speak.82
59:13 Consume them that they may not be in Your anger; consume, so that they may not be; and they shall know that Elohim is ruling in Ya'akov, to the ends of the earth. Selah.
59:14 Yes, they shall return at evening; let them howl like the dog and go around the city;
59:15 let them wander up and down for food, and growl if they are not satisfied.
59:16 But I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing of Your mercy in the morning. For You have been my strong tower, and my hiding place in the day of my trouble.
59:17 To You, O my strength, I will sing; for Elohim is my strong tower, the Elohim of my mercy.
60:1 To the chief musician. On the Lily of Testimony. A secret treasure of David, to teach; when he struggled with Aram-Naharaim, and with Aram-Zobah; when Yoab returned, and struck twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt.
O Elohim! You cast us off; You broke us; You who were angry; take us back.
60:2 You made the earth tremble; You tore it; heal its breaks, for it is shaking.
60:3 You have shown Your people hardship; You made us drink the wine of trembling.
60:4 You have given a banner to those who fear You, to lift it up because of the truth. Selah.
60:5 Save with Your right hand and answer me, that Your beloved may be delivered.
60:6 Elohim has spoken in His set-apartness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.
60:7 Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is the strength of My head; Yehudah is My lawgiver;
60:8 Moab is My washpot; over Edom I will cast out My shoe; Philistia, shout in triumph.
60:9 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
60:10 Have not You, O Elohim, cast us aside? And will You not go forth with our armies, O Elohim?
60:11 Give us help against our oppressor, for vain is the deliverance of man.
60:12 Through Elohim we shall do mighty things; for He shall tread on our oppressors.
61:1 To the chief musician. On stringed instruments. Of David.
Hear my cry, O Elohim, and attend to my prayer.
61:2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart faints; Oh lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.
61:3 For You have been my shelter, a strong tower before the enemy.
61:4 I will dwell in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.
61:5 For You, O Elohim, have heard my vows; You appointed the inheritance of those who fear Your name.
61:6 You will add days to the days of the king; his years will be as generations to generations.
61:7 He shall abide forever before Elohim; appoint mercy and truth to preserve him.
61:8 So I will sing praise to Your name forever, so that I may pay my vows day by day.
62:1 To the chief musician. To Yeduthun. A Psalm of David.
Only to Elohim is my soul silent; from Him comes my salvation.
62:2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my strong tower; I shall not be greatly moved.
62:3 Until when will you break in against a man? You will shatter him, all of you, like a bowing wall, a tottering fence.
62:4 Surely, they plotted to cast him down from his excellent dignity; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse in their inward parts. Selah. (Pr 23:6-8)
62:5 Only be silent to Elohim, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him.
62:6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my strong tower; I shall not be shaken.
62:7 On Elohim is my salvation and my glory; my strong rock, my refuge is in Elohim.
62:8 Trust in Him at every time, you people; pour out your heart before Him; Elohim is a refuge for us. Selah.
62:9 Surely the sons of men are vanity, the sons of man are a lie; they go up in the scales; they are lighter than vanity together.
62:10 Trust not in oppression, and do not be vain in robbery; if riches increase to you, do not set your heart on them.
62:11 Elohim has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to Elohim;
62:12 Also mercy belongs to You, O Yehovah, for You reward a man according to his work.83
63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Yehudah.
O Elohim, You are my El; I earnestly seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You, as in a dry and weary land without water.
63:2 Therefore I have seen you in the set apart place, seeing Your power and Your glory.
63:3 For Your loving-kindness is better than life; my lips give praise to You.
63:4 So I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
63:5 My soul shall be satisfied, as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips,
63:6 when I remember You upon my bed. I will meditate on You in the night watches.
63:7 For You have been a help to me, and I will rejoice under the shadow of Your wings.
63:8 My soul is cleaved after You; Your right hand upholds me. (Ex 15:6, Ps 18:35)
63:9 And those who seek to destroy my life shall go into the depths of the earth.
63:10 They shall pour him out by the sword; they shall be a serving for jackals.
63:11 But the king shall rejoice in Elohim; everyone who swears by Him shall glory, because the mouth of the one speaking a lie will be stopped.
64:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
O Elohim, hear my voice in my complaint; guard my life from the dread of the enemy.
64:2 Hide me from the counsel of those who destroy, from the tumult of evildoers,
64:3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword; they tread their arrows, a bitter word,
64:4 so that they may shoot at the innocent from a lurking place; suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.
64:5 They make themselves strong in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them?
64:6 They search into injustice, saying, We have finished a well laid plan. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are deep!
64:7 But Elohim shall shoot an arrow at them; their wounds shall suddenly appear.
64:8 So they shall be confounded; their tongue falls upon themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee.
64:9 And all men shall fear and shall declare the work of Elohim; yea, they shall in wisdom consider His work.
64:10 The righteous shall rejoice in Yehovah, and shall take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory. (Ps 11:1, 25:20, 32:11, 91:1-2)
65:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm and Song of David.
To You silence is praise, O Elohim, in Zion; and to You is a vow paid. (Ps 22:25)
65:2 To You who hears prayer, all flesh comes.
65:3 Things of iniquity, our transgressions, are mightier than I; You atone for them.84
65:4 Blessed is the one You choose and cause to come near You; he shall dwell in Your courts; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your set apart sanctuary.
65:5 You will answer us in righteousness by awesome things, O Elohim of our salvation (Y’shua*);85 the confidence of all the ends of the earth and the sea, of those afar off.
65:6 By Your strength the mountains are established, banded together with might.
65:7 You still the roaring of the sea, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples. (Math 8:25-27)
65:8 And those living in the uttermost parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and the evening to rejoice.
65:9 You visit the earth and water it; You greatly enrich it; the river of Elohim is full of water. You provide their grain, for in this way You have prepared it.
65:10 You fill its terraces with water. You deepen its furrows. You make it soft with showers. You bless the sprouting of it.
65:11 You crown the year of Your goodness, and Your paths drip with fatness.
65:12 The pastures of the wilderness drop, and the little hills gird themselves with joy.
65:13 The meadows are outfitted with flocks; the valleys are also covered with grain; they shout for joy and sing.86
66:1 To the chief musician. A Song. A Psalm.
Make a joyful noise to Elohim, all the earth;
66:2 Sing out the honor of His name; give glory to His praise.87
66:3 Say to Elohim, How much to be feared are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power, Your enemies pretend obedience to You.
66:4 All the earth shall worship You; and they sing to You; they shall praise Your name. Selah.
66:5 Come and see Elohim's works, who is feared in His acts toward the sons of men.
66:6 He turns the sea into dry land; they go through the river on foot; there we will rejoice with Him.
66:7 He rules by His power forever; His eyes search out the nations; let not the rebels exalt themselves. Selah.
66:8 Bless our Elohim, O peoples, and make heard the voice of His praise;
66:9 Who holds our soul in life and does not allow our foot to slide.
66:10 For You, O Elohim, have proved us; You have tested us as silver is refined.
66:11 You have brought us into the net; You laid afflictions on our loins.
66:12 You have let men ride at our head; we went through fire and through water, but You brought us out to plenty. (Ps 78:21, Is 43:2)
66:13 I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows, (Ps 96:8)
66:14 which my lips have opened, and my mouth has spoken in my trouble.
66:15 I will offer burnt sacrifices of fatlings to You, with the incense of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah. (Ps 51:18-19)
66:16 Come, hear, and let me recount, all you who fear Elohim, what He has done for my soul.
66:17 I cried to Him with my mouth, and exaltations were under my tongue.
66:18 If I had regarded iniquity in my heart, Yehovah would not have heard.
66:19 Surely, Elohim has heard; He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
66:20 Blessed be Elohim, who has not turned away my prayer and His mercy from me! (Pr 28:9)
67:1 To the chief musician, for stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song.
May Elohim be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah.
67:2 That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation (Y’shua*) among all nations. (Is 42:6)
67:3 Let the peoples thank You, O Elohim; let all the peoples thank You.
67:4 Oh let the peoples be glad and sing for joy; for You shall judge the peoples uprightly and govern the peoples on earth. Selah.
67:5 Let the peoples give thanks to You, O Elohim; let all the peoples give thanks to You.
67:6 The earth has given its increase; Elohim, our own Elohim, shall bless us.
67:7 Elohim shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
68:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.
Elohim rises up and His enemies are scattered; and those who hate Him flee from His face.
68:2 As smoke is driven away, You drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, the wicked perish in Elohim's presence.
68:3 But the righteous are glad; they shout for joy before Elohim; yea, they exult with gladness.
68:4 Sing to Elohim, sing praise to His name; lift up a song for Him who rides in the deserts, by His name Yah; yea, exult in His presence.
68:5 In His set apart dwelling Elohim is a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows. (Ja 1:27, Deut 10:18)
68:6 Elohim causes the lonely to live at home; He brings out those who are bound with chains, while the rebellious dwell in a dry land. (Is 61:1)
68:7 O Elohim, when You went out before Your people, when You walked on through the wilderness. Selah.
68:8 The earth shook, and the heavens dropped before Elohim, this Sinai before Elohim, the Elohim of Yisrael.
68:9 O Elohim, You sent down a shower of plenty, by which You upheld Your inheritance when it was weary.
68:10 Your flock lived in it. You, O Elohim, have prepared for the poor in Your goodness.
68:11 Yehovah gave the Word; the bearers of it were a great army.
68:12 Kings of armies fled, they ran away; yea, she who stayed home has divided the plunder.
68:13 When you lie among the sheepfolds, the wings of a dove are covered with silver, and its feathers with gleaming gold.
68:14 When the Almighty scatters kings in it, it snows on Mount Salmon.88
68:15 Elohim's mountain is The mountain of Bashan; the Bashan range is a mountain of peaks.
68:16 Why do you gaze in envy, O mountain range, at the mountain Elohim desired for His dwelling? Yea, Yehovah will dwell in it forever.
68:17 The chariots of Elohim are twenty thousand, thousands of the same, Yehovah is among them, in Sinai, in the set apart place.
68:18 You have gone up on high; You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men; yea, to dwell among the rebellious, O Yah Elohim. (Eph 4:8)
68:19 Blessed be Yehovah: day by day He carries a load for us, the El of our salvation (Y’shua*). Selah.
68:20 Our El is to us the El of deliverance; and to Yehovah Adonai are the issues of death.
68:21 Surely, Elohim will crush the head of His enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks on in his guilt.
68:22 Yehovah said, I will bring back from Bashan; I will bring back My people from the depths of the sea;
68:23 so that your foot may be dashed in the blood of your enemies, the tongue of your dogs in it.
68:24 They have seen Your processions, O Elohim, the caravans of my Elohim, my King, in the set apart place.
68:25 The singers went before, then the musicians came; among them were the virgins playing the timbrels.
68:26 O bless Elohim in the houses of assembly, Yehovah, from the fountain of Yisrael.
68:27 There is little Benjamin ruling them; the leaders of Yehudah in their crowd, and the leaders of Zebulun, the leaders of Naphtali.
68:28 Your Elohim has commanded your strength; O Elohim, be strong, in this that You have worked out for us.
68:29 Because of Your sanctuary over Yerushalayim, kings shall bring a present to You.
68:30 Rebuke the wild beasts of the reeds, the herd of bulls, with the calves of the peoples, trampling down with pieces of silver. He scatters the people who delight in war.
68:31 Let nobles be brought out of Mitsrayim; Ethiopia shall run up her hands to Elohim.
68:32 Sing to Elohim, kingdoms of the earth, praises to Yehovah. Selah.
68:33 To Him who rides on the heavens of heavens of old; lo, He gives forth His voice, a mighty voice.
68:34 Give might to Elohim over Yisrael; His majesty and His strength in the skies.
68:35 O Elohim, You are awesome out of Your set apart places; the Elohim of Yisrael is He who gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be Elohim!
69:1 To the chief musician. Concerning the Lilies. Of David.
Save me, O Elohim, for the waters have come in to my soul.
69:2 I sink in deep mire, and there is no standing; I have come into deep waters where the floods overflow me.
69:3 I am weary from my crying, my throat is scorched; my eyes fail while I wait for my Elohim.
69:4 They who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they who would destroy me are mighty, my lying enemies; then I must restore what I did not rob. (Joh 15:25)
69:5 O Elohim, You know my foolishness, and my guiltiness is not hidden from You.
69:6 O Adonai Yehovah of Hosts, do not let those who wait on You be ashamed for my sake; let not the ones who seek You be ashamed for my sake, O Elohim of Yisrael.
69:7 Because I suffered reproach for Your sake, shame has covered My face.
69:8 I have become a stranger to My brothers and a foreigner to My mother's children.
69:9 For the zeal of Your house has consumed Me; and the reproaches of the ones who reproach You have fallen on Me. (Joh 2:17, Ro 15:3)
69:10 And I wept with fasting, my soul it also was a reproach to me;
69:11 I also made sackcloth my clothing, and I became a mockery to them.
69:12 They who sit in the gate spoke of me; and I was the song of drunkards.
69:13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Yehovah, at a time of favor, O Elohim! In the plenitude of Your mercy answer me, in the truth of Your salvation*.
69:14 Deliver me out of the mire, that I may not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
69:15 Let not the flood waters overflow me, nor let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut its mouth on me.
69:16 Hear me, O Yehovah, for Your mercy is good; in the plenitude of Your tender mercies, turn toward me.
69:17 And do not hide Your face from Your servant; for it is distressing to Me; answer Me quickly;
69:18 draw near My soul; redeem it; ransom Me because of My enemies.
69:19 You have known My reproach, and My shame, and My dishonor; and you are before all my enemies.
69:20 Reproach has broken My heart, and I am full of heaviness; and I waited for one to show pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
69:21 They also gave Me gall in My food; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink. (Math 27:34,48)
69:22 Let their table before them be for a snare, and for a recompense, and for a stumbling block.
69:23 Let their eyes be darkened that they should not see; and bow down their back continually.
69:24 Pour out Your wrath on them; and let the glow of Your anger overtake them.
69:25 Let their home be made desolate; let no one dwell in their tents.
69:26 For whom You have given stripes, they have persecuted; and they gossip to the pain of those You pierced.
69:27 Put iniquity to their iniquity, and do not let them enter into Your righteousness.
69:28 Blot them out from the Scroll of Life; yea, let them not be written with the righteous. (Rev 13:8, Ex 32:33)
69:29 But I am poor and in pain; O Elohim, Your salvation ( Y’shua*) shall set me on high.
69:30 I will praise Elohim's name in a song; and I will magnify Him with thanks. (Ps 66:2, Ps 28:7)
69:31 And it shall please Yehovah more than an ox, horned or hoofed bull.
69:32 The humble have seen and are glad; you who seek Elohim, your heart shall live.
69:33 For Yehovah hears the needy, and He does not despise His prisoners.
69:34 Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, the seas, and everything that moves in them.
69:35 For Elohim will save Zion; and He will build the cities of Yehudah, and they shall live there and possess it.89
69:36 And His servants' seed shall inherit; and they who love His name shall live in it.90
70:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.
O Elohim, deliver me! O Yehovah, Hurry to help me!
70:2 Let those who seek after my soul be ashamed and turned pale; let them be turned backward and shamed, those who desire my evil.
70:3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame, those who say, Aha, aha!
70:4 Let all those who seek You rejoice, and be glad in You; and let them say continually, let be magnified, Elohim, lovers of Your Y’shua*.
70:5 But I am poor and needy, come quickly to me, O Elohim; You are my help and my deliverer; O Yehovah, do not wait any longer.
71:1 In you, O Yehovah, I seek refuge, O, let me not be put to shame forever.
71:2 In Your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; bow down Your ear to me and save me.
71:3 Be a rock of strength for me, to which I may always go; You have given a command to save me; for You are my rock and my fortress.
71:4 O my Elohim, deliver me out of the hand of the wicked, and out of the hand of the unjust and the ruthless.
71:5 For You are my hope, O Adonai Yehovah, my trust from my youth.
71:6 I have rested on You from the belly; You are He who took me out of my mother's womb; my praise shall be always of You.
71:7 I am like a wonder to many, but You are my strong tower.
71:8 My mouth is filled with Your praise, with your glory all the day long.
71:9 Do not cast me off now at the time of my old age. Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
71:10 For my enemies speak against me; and those who lurk for my soul plot together.
71:11 And they say, Elohim has forsaken him; pursue him and take him, for there is no one to deliver.
71:12 O Elohim, do not be far from me; my Elohim come quickly to help me.
71:13 Let them be ashamed; let those who are enemies of my soul be consumed; let them be covered with reproach, and let those seeking evil for me be dishonored;
71:14 and I will hope without ceasing, and I will add more on all Your praise.
71:15 My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day; for I do not know the numbers.
71:16 I will come in the strength of Adonai Yehovah; I will remember Your righteousness, that belongs to you alone.
71:17 O Elohim, You have taught me from my youth; and until now I have declared Your wonders.
71:18 And even when I am old and gray headed, O Elohim, do not leave me until I declare Your arm to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.
71:19 And, Your righteousness, O Elohim, is to the heights, You who have done great things. O Elohim, who is like You,
71:20 who has shown me great and evil distresses. You will turn me; You will make me live; and You will bring me up from the depths of the earth.
71:21 You will multiply my greatness and surround and comfort me.
71:22 I will also thank You with a harp, O my Elohim; I will sing Your truth; I will sing to You with the lyre, O set apart One of Yisrael.
71:23 My lips shall shout for joy, for I will sing praise to You; also my soul which you have redeemed.
71:24 And my tongue shall muse on Your righteousness all the day; because those seeking my evil are disgraced; they are put to shame.
72:1 A psalm of Solomon.
Give the king Your judgments, O Elohim; and Your righteousness to the king's son.
72:2 Your people He shall judge in righteousness, and Your poor in justice.
72:3 The mountains will lift up shalom to the people, and the little hills through righteousness.
72:4 He shall judge the poor of the people; and He shall save the sons of the needy; and He shall crush the oppressor.
72:5 They shall fear You with the sun, and before the moon in all generations.
72:6 He shall descend like rain on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth.
72:7 In His days the righteous shall flourish, and plenty of shalom, till the moon is not.
72:8 He shall also rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.91
72:9 Those dwelling in the desert will bow before Him, and His enemies will lick the dust.
72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
72:11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him.
72:12 For He shall save the needy who cries, and the poor with no helper.
72:13 He shall have pity on the poor and needy; and the souls of the needy ones He saves.
72:14 He shall redeem their souls from oppression and violence; and their blood shall be precious in His eyes.92 (Ps 116:15)
72:15 And He shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to Him; and prayer shall be made for Him continually; He shall bless Him all the day.
72:16 A fullness of grain shall be in the earth on top of the mountains; its fruit shall shake like Lebanon; and they of the city shall flourish like the grass of the earth.
72:17 His name shall be forever; His name shall continue before the sun; and they shall bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed.
72:18 Blessed is Yehovah Elohim, the Elohim of Yisrael, who alone does wonderful things.
72:19 And blessed is His glorious name forever; and the whole earth is filled with His glory! Amen and amen!
72:20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse have ended.
73:1 A Psalm of Asaph.
Truly Elohim is good to Yisrael, to those who are of a pure heart.
73:2 And as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps nearly made to slip.
73:3 For I was jealous of the proud; I looked upon the shalom of the wicked.
73:4 For there are no pangs to their death; but their body is fat.
73:5 They are not in the trouble of mortal man; and with men they are not touched.
73:6 So pride enchains them; violence covers them like a robe.
73:7 Their eyes go out with fatness; they have passed the imaginations of the heart.
73:8 They scoff and speak in evil; from on high they speak oppression.
73:9 They set their mouth in the heavens; and their tongues walk through the earth.
73:10 Because of this His people shall return here; and waters of a full cup is drained by them.
73:11 And they say, How does El know? And, Is there knowledge in the Most High?
73:12 Look! These are the wicked who are always at ease; they increase their riches.
73:13 Surely I have purified my heart in vain; and I have washed my hands in innocence.
73:14 For all the day I was touched; and my chastening is at the mornings.93
73:15 If I say, This is the way I will speak; look, I would deceive a generation of Your sons.
73:16 And I thought to know this; it was painful in my eyes,
73:17 until I went into the sanctuary of El and I discerned their end.
73:18 Surely, You will set their feet in slippery places; You will make them fall into ruin.
73:19 How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away with terrors!
73:20 Like a dream when being aroused from dreaming, O Yehovah in awaking You will despise their image.
73:21 For my heart was in a ferment, and I was pierced in my reins.
73:22 And I was brutish and did not know; I was like animals with You.
73:23 Yet I was continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand.
73:24 You shall guide me by Your counsel; and afterward You will take me to glory.
73:25 Whom is to me in Heaven? And I have no desire on earth besides You.
73:26 My flesh and my heart waste away; Elohim is the rock of my heart and my portion forever.
73:27 For, lo, those who are far from You shall be lost; You have cut off all who go whoring away from You.
74:1 A Lesson, of Asaph.
O Elohim, have You cast us off forever; will Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
74:2 Remember Your house of assembly; You bought them in days before; You redeemed us as the rod of Your inheritance, this Mount Zion in which You have dwelt in.
74:3 Lift up Your steps to the perpetual desolations, the enemy who has done all evil in the sanctuary.
74:4 Those distressing You have roared in the middle of Your house of assembly; they set up their own signs for signs.
74:5 He is known as one bringing axes in on high, against the thick trees.
74:6 And now together they break down its carved work with the axe and hammers.
74:7 They have cast fire in Your sanctuary; they have polluted the place where Your name dwells on the earth.
74:8 They said in their hearts, Let us rage against them together; they have burned up all the meeting-places of El in the land.
74:9 We did not see our signs; there is no longer a prophet; nor any among us who knows until when.
74:10 O Elohim, until when shall the enemy speak evil of You? Shall the enemy scorn Your name forever?
74:11 Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? From out of Your bosom, consume them.
74:12 For Elohim is my King of old, who works salvation in the midst of the land.
74:13 You broke the sea by Your strength; You burst the heads of sea-monsters in the waters. (Is 51:9)
74:14 You cracked open the heads of leviathan; You gave him to be food for the people of the wilderness. (Yob 3:8)
74:15 You divided the fountain and the torrent; You dried up mighty rivers.
74:16 The day is Yours, the night is also Yours. You have established the light and the sun.
74:17 You have fixed the boundaries of the earth; You have formed the summer and winter.94
74:18 Remember this: the enemy has blasphemed, O Yehovah; and a foolish people have despised Your name.
74:19 Do not give the soul of Your turtledove to the wild beasts; You will not forever forget the life of Your afflicted ones.
74:20 Look to Your covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full, the abodes of violence.
74:21 O let not the ill-treated ones turn back ashamed; let the poor and needy praise Your name.
74:22 Arise, O Elohim, contend for Your cause; remember Your reproach from the fool all the day.
74:23 Do not forget the voice of your enemies, the noise of your foes is going up continually.
