75:1 To the chief musician. Do not destroy. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
We have given thanks to You, O Elohim; we have given thanks; for Your name is near; Your wonderful works have been told.
75:2 When I take the appointed time, I shall judge in uprightness.
75:3 The earth and all those living in it are melting away; I set firm its pillars. Selah.
75:4 I said to the boastful, Do not boast; and to the wicked, Do not lift up the horn.
75:5 Do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with a stiff neck.
75:6 For exaltations are not from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert;
75:7 but Elohim is the judge; He puts down this one and lifts up this other.
75:8 For a cup is in the hand of Yehovah; and the wine foams; it is fully mixed, and He pours out from it; surely all the wicked of the earth must drain its dregs and drink. (Rev 17:4)
75:9 But I will witness forever; I will sing praises to the Elohim of Ya'akov.
75:10 And I will cut off all the horns of the wicked; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
76:1 To the chief musician. For stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song of Praise.
Elohim is known in Yehudah; His name is great in Yisrael.
76:2 And His abode is in Salem; and His dwelling-place in Zion. (Ps 48:1-2, Yoel 2:32, 3:17, 21)
76:3 There He broke the fiery arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
76:4 You are glorious, more excellent than the mountains of prey.
76:5 The stouthearted have been stripped; they slept their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.
76:6 By Your rebuke, O Elohim of Ya'akov, both the horse and chariot have sunk into a sleep.
76:7 You, even You, are terrifying; and who can stand before You when You are angry?
76:8 You have caused judgment to be heard from Heaven; the earth feared and was stilled;
76:9 when Elohim arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
76:10 For the wrath of man thank You; You encircle Yourself with the wrath left over.
76:11 Vow and pay to Yehovah your Elohim; let all that are around Him bring presents to the Fearful One.
76:12 He shall cut off the ruach of princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth. (Ps 2:1-4)
77:1 To the chief musician. On Yeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph.
My voice is to Elohim, and I cry; my voice is to Elohim, and He gave ear to me.
77:2 In the day of my distress I sought Yehovah; my hand was open in the night and did not grow numb; my soul refused to be comforted.
77:3 I remember Elohim and am troubled; I meditate and my ruach faints. Selah.
77:4 You seized the watches of my eyes; I am troubled and I cannot speak.
77:5 I thought upon the days of old, the years of bygone ages.
77:6 I will remember my song in the night; I will speak with my own heart, and my ruach carefully searches.
77:7 Will Yehovah cast off forever; and will He not add, to be pleased any more?
77:8 Is His mercy gone forever? Has His Word failed for all generations?
77:9 Has El forgotten to be gracious; has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah.
77:10 And I said, This is my sickness, the years of the right hand of the Most High;
77:11 I will remember the works of Yah; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
77:12 I will also meditate on all Your works and muse of Your doings.
77:13 O Elohim, your way is in set-apartness; who is a El, great like Elohim?
77:14 You are the El who does wonders; You have revealed Your strength among the peoples.
77:15 You have redeemed Your people with Your arm, the sons of Ya'akov and Yoseph. Selah.
77:16 The waters saw You, O Elohim, the waters saw You; they were afraid; yea, the deeps trembled.
77:17 The clouds poured out water; the skies uttered a voice; and Your arrows flew out.
77:18 The voice of Your thunder in the tempest; lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked!
77:19 Your way is in the sea; and Your path is in the great waters; and Your footsteps are not known.
77:20 You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Mosheh and Aaron.
78:1 A Lesson of Asaph.
O my people, give ear to my Torah; bow your ears to the words of my mouth.
78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings which have been from the beginning,
78:3 those which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.95
78:4 We will not hide them from their sons; to declare to the coming generation the praises of Yehovah; yea, His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
78:5 For He raised a Testimony in Ya'akov, and He set the Torah in Yisrael; which He commanded our fathers to make them known to their sons;
78:6 so that a coming generation may know; sons shall be born; they shall rise up and tell their sons,
78:7 so that they might set their hope in Elohim, and not forget the works of El, but keep His commandments.
78:8 And they shall not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that prepared not its heart; yea, whose ruach was not faithful with El.96
78:9 The sons of Ephraim, armed shooters of bows, turned back in the day of battle.
78:10 They did not keep the covenant of Elohim and refused to walk in His Torah.
78:11 And they forgot His works and His wonders which He had shown them;
78:12 He did wonders before their fathers in the land of Mitsrayim, the field of Zoan.
78:13 He divided the sea and passed them through; and He caused the waters to stand in a heap.
78:14 And He led them by a cloud in the day, and all the night with a light of fire.
78:15 He split the rocks in the wilderness and made them drink, as from great depths.
78:16 And He brought streams out of the rock, and caused waters to go down like rivers.
78:17 Yet they sinned still more against Him, to provoke the Most High in the desert.97
78:18 And they tested El in their heart, by asking food for their souls.
78:19 And they spoke against Elohim, saying, Shall El be able to set a table in the wilderness?
78:20 Look! He struck the rock and the waters gushed out, and the torrents were overflowing. Can He also give bread? Will He provide flesh for His people?
78:21 So Yehovah heard and He passed over, and a fire was kindled against Ya'akov, and also anger went up against Yisrael,
78:22 because they did not believe in Elohim and trusted not in His salvation (Y’shua*).
78:23 And He commanded the fine clouds above; and He opened the doors of the heavens;
78:24 and rained upon them manna to eat, and gave them the bread of heaven.
78:25 Man ate the bread of the mighty; He sent them food to the full.98
78:26 He made an east wind blow in the heavens; and He led out the south wind by His power.
78:27 Yea, He rained flesh on them like dust, and winged birds as the sand of the seas.
78:28 And He made them fall amidst their camp, all around to their tents.
78:29 They ate and were filled full; for their own lust He brought to them.
78:30 They were not estranged from their lust; their food was still in their mouths,
78:31 and Elohim's wrath came on them and killed the fattest of them; and He struck down the choice ones of Yisrael.
78:32 In all this they sinned still; and they did not believe in His wonderful works;99
78:33 and He ended their days in vanity, and their years in sudden terror.
78:34 When He killed them, then they sought Him; and they turned and searched for El.
78:35 So they remembered that Elohim was their Rock, and the Most High Elohim their Redeemer.
78:36 But they deceived Him with their mouths, and with their tongues lied to Him.
78:37 For their heart was not steadfast with Him; and they were not faithful in His covenant.
78:38 But He being merciful, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy; and He added to turn away His anger, and did not stir up all his wrath.
78:39 For He remembered that they were flesh, a breath passing away, and not returning.
78:40 How often they disobeyed Him in the wilderness, angering Him in the desert!
78:41 Yea, they turned back and tested El, and pained the set apart One of Yisrael.
78:42 They did not remember His hand, on the day He redeemed them from the enemy;
78:43 who set His signs in Mitsrayim, and His wonders in the field of Zoan.
78:44 He turned their rivers into blood, also their streams that they might not drink.
78:45 He sent swarms of flies against them, and they devoured them; also frogs, and they destroyed them.
78:46 He also gave their crops to the stripping locust, and their labor to the locust.
78:47 He killed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet.
78:48 He gave their cattle up to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire.
78:49 He sent the heat of His anger on them, fury and indignation and distress, a sending of messengers of evils.
78:50 He leveled a path for His anger; He did not keep back their soul from death, but gave their life over to the plague.
78:51 And he struck all the first-born in Mitsrayim, the first-fruits of strength in the tents of Ham;
78:52 and He led His people forth like sheep; and He led them like a flock in the wilderness.
78:53 And he led them on safely, and they did not fear; but the sea flooded over their enemies.
78:54 He brought them to the border of His set apart place; this mountain that His right hand had gained.
78:55 And He cast out the nations before them; and by a line He made a possession fall to them; and He made the tribes of Yisrael to live in their tents.
78:56 Yet they tested and provoked the Most High Elohim; and they did not keep His testimonies;
78:57 but they turned back and betrayed, like their fathers; they veered aside like a deceitful bow.
78:58 For they enraged Him with their high places; and they provoked Him to jealousy with their molten images.
78:59 When Elohim heard, and He was provoked to anger, and He utterly rejected Yisrael. (Nu 32:14, Deut 32:19)
78:60 And He left the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent He dwelt in among men; (Jos 18:1, 1 Sam 4:2-4, 10-11)
78:61 and delivered His strength into captivity, and His glory into the enemy's hands.
78:62 And He gave His people to the sword, and was angry with His inheritance.
78:63 The fire burned up their young men; and their virgins were not praised.
78:64 Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows were not able to weep.
78:65 Then Yehovah awoke, as one asleep, like a mighty man rejoicing with wine.
78:66 And He beat His enemies backward; He put them to a never-ending shame.
78:67 And He refused the tabernacle of Yoseph, and He did not choose the tribe of Ephraim;
78:68 but He elected the tribe of Yehudah, the Mount Zion which He loved.
78:69 And He built His sanctuary like high places, like the earth He has founded it forever.
78:70 He also chose His servant David, and took him from the folds of the flock;
78:71 He brought him in from the suckling ewes; He brought him to feed His people Ya'akov, and His inheritance, Yisrael.
78:72 And he fed them in the integrity of his heart; and guided them in the skillfulness of his hands.
79:1 A Psalm of Asaph.
O Elohim, the nations have come into Your inheritance; they have defiled Your set apart sanctuary; they have laid Yerushalayim in heaps.100
79:2 They have given the bodies of Your servants as food for the birds of the heavens; the flesh of Your set-apart ones to the beasts of the earth.
79:3 They have shed their blood like water all around Yerushalayim, and there is no one burying.
79:4 We have become a shame to our neighbors a scorn and a mockery to those who are around us.
79:5 Until when, O Yehovah? Will You be angry with us forever? Shall Your jealousy burn like fire?
79:6 Pour out Your wrath on the nations who have not known You, and on the kingdoms who have not called on Your name.
79:7 For they have eaten up Ya'akov, and laid waste to his dwelling-place.
79:8 Do not remember for us the former sins of our fathers; let Your tender mercies meet us speedily, for we have been brought very low.
79:9 Help us, O Elohim of our salvation (Y’shua*), for the matter of the glory of Your name; and deliver us and atone for our sins, for Your name's sake.101
79:10 Why should the nations say, Where is their Elohim? Let Him be known among the nations before our eyes, the avenging of the blood of Your servants that has been poured out.
79:11 Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You. According to the greatness of Your arm, preserve the sons of death.
79:12 And reward our neighbors seven-fold. Give into their bosom their curse with which they have cursed You, O Yehovah.102
79:13 Then we Your people, and the sheep of Your pasture, will give thanks to You forever; we will declare Your praise from generation to generation.103
80:1 To the chief musician. A Testimony. Concerning the Lilies. A Psalm of Asaph.
Give ear, O Shepherd of Yisrael, You leading Yoseph like a flock; shine forth, You dwelling between the messengers.
80:2 Stir up Your might before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, and come to us for salvation.
80:3 O Elohim, turn us again, and make Your face shine, and we will be saved!104
80:4 O Yehovah Elohim of Hosts, until when will You smoke against the prayer of Your people?
80:5 You made them eat with the bread of tears; yea, You made them drink with tears a third time.
80:6 You make us a strife for our neighbors, and our enemies laugh to themselves.
80:7 O Elohim of Hosts, turn us again, and cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.
80:8 You have led a vine out of Mitsrayim; You have cast out the nations, and have planted it.
80:9 You cleared before it, and You have rooted its roots, and it has filled the land.
80:10 The hills were covered with its shadow, and its boughs were as the cedars of El.
80:11 It was sending its boughs out to the sea, and its branches to the River.105
80:12 Why have You broken down its walls, so that it is plucked by all who pass by the way?
80:13 A boar out of the forest wastes it, and the beast of the field feeds on it.
80:14 O Elohim of Hosts, we beg You, return! Look down from Heaven and see and visit this vine,
80:15 and the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, and on the son You made strong for Yourself.106
80:16 It is burned with fire, cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Your face.
80:17 Let Your hand be on the man of Your right hand; on the son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.
80:18 So we will not backslide from You; make us live, and we will call on Your name.
80:19 O Yehovah, Elohim of Hosts, turn us again! Cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.107
81:1 To the chief musician. On Gittith. Of Asaph.
Sing aloud to Elohim our strength; shout for joy to the Elohim of Ya'akov.
81:2 Lift up a song, and the timbrel, the pleasing lyre with the harp.
81:3 Blow the ram's horn in the new moon, on the covered moon, on our feast day.108
81:4 For this was a statute for Yisrael, an ordinance of the Elohim of Ya'akov.
81:5 This He ordained as a testimony in Yoseph, when He went out over the land of Mitsrayim; I heard a lip I did not understand.
81:6 I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.
81:7 You called in distress, and I rescued you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
81:8 My people, listen, and I will testify against you, whether you will listen to Me:
81:9 There shall be no strange El among you; and you shall not worship a foreign god. (Is 42:8, Ex 22:20, 23:13)
81:10 I am Yehovah your Elohim who brought you out from the land of Mitsrayim; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. (Ex 20:2)
81:11 But My people would not listen to My voice, and Yisrael did not consent to Me.
81:12 So I gave them up to the stubbornness of their own hearts; they walked in their own counsels.
81:13 Oh if My people were hearing me! If Yisrael would walk in My ways,
81:14 I would subdue their enemies in a little while; and I would turn My hand against their foes.
81:15 Those who hate Yehovah will be found untrue to Him, and their time is forever.
81:16 And, He would make them to eat from the fat of the wheat; and I would satisfy you with honey out of the rock.
82:1 A Psalm of Asaph.
Elohim stands in the company of the Almighty El; He judges in the midst of Elohim.109
82:2 Until when will you judge unjustly, and lift up the faces of the wicked? Selah.
82:3 Vindicate the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy.
82:4 Deliver the poor and needy; and save out of the hand of the wicked.
82:5 They neither know nor will understand; they walk in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
82:6 I have said, You are Elohim, and all of you are sons of the Most High.110
82:7 But you shall die as men, and fall like one of the rulers.
82:8 Rise, O Elohim, judge the earth; for You shall inherit in all the nations.
83:1 A Song. A Psalm of Asaph.
O Elohim do not keep silence to Yourself; do not be speechless; yea, do not be still, O El
83:2 For lo, Your enemies are roaring; and those who hate You have lifted up their head.
83:3 They take shrewd counsel against Your people; they plot against Your hidden ones.
83:4 They have said, Come, and we will cut them off from being a nation; and that The name of Yisrael will not be recalled again.111
83:5 For they conspired together with one heart; they have cut a covenant against You;
83:6 even the tents of Edom, and of the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagarites;
83:7 Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia and those living in Tyre.
83:8 Also Assyria has joined with them; they were an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.112
83:9 Do to them as to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin at the torrent Kishon.
83:10 At Endor they were destroyed; they became dung for the ground.
83:11 Make their nobles as Oreb and Zeeb, and all their rulers like Zebah and Zalmunna;
83:12 who said, Let us take possession of Elohim's pastures for ourselves.
83:13 O my Elohim, make them as whirling dust, as the stubble before the wind.
83:14 As the fire burns a forest, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
83:15 so pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm.
83:16 Fill their faces with shame so that they will seek Your name, O Yehovah.
83:17 Let them be ashamed and terrified for ever; yea, let them be pale and perish.
83:18 And let them know you; that Your name is Yehovah, and all life comes from you, the Most High over all the earth. (Ps 24:1, Is 45:21)
84:1 To the chief musician. On Gittith. A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
How lovely are Your dwellings, O Yehovah of Hosts!
84:2 My soul longs and even faints for the courts of Yehovah; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living El.
84:3 Even the bird has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even on Your altars, O Yehovah of Hosts, my King and my Elohim.
84:4 Blessed are they who dwell in Your house; they will always be praising You.
84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; Your ways are in their hearts.
84:6 Passing through the valley of weeping, they will make it a fountain; even the early rain covers with blessings.
84:7 They go from strength to strength, being seen in Zion before Elohim.
84:8 O Yehovah Elohim of Hosts, hear my prayer; listen, O Elohim of Ya'akov. Selah.
84:9 Look, O Elohim, our shield; and look upon the face of Your Messiah.
84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand without; I have chosen to stand at the threshold in the house of my Elohim rather than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.113
84:11 For Yehovah Elohim is a sun and shield; Yehovah will give grace and glory; He will withhold nothing good from those who walk in integrity.
84:12 O Yehovah of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!
85:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
O Yehovah, You have been gracious to Your land; You have turned back the captivity of Ya'akov.
85:2 You have taken away the iniquity of Your people; You covered all of their sins. Selah.
85:3 You gathered all of Your wrath; You turned from the heat of Your anger.
85:4 O Elohim of our salvation (Y’shua*), turn us and break up Your anger with us.
85:5 Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations?
85:6 Will You revive us, so that Your people may rejoice in You?(Hos 6:1-2)
85:7 Show us Your mercy, O Yehovah, and give us Your salvation.
85:8 I will hear what Yehovah Elohim will say; for He will speak shalom to His people, and His set-apart ones; but let them not turn again to folly.
85:9 Surely His salvation (Y’shua*) is near to the ones fearing Him, for glory to dwell in our land.
85:10 Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and shalom kissed each other.
85:11 Truth shall sprout out of the earth, and righteousness looks down from Heaven.
85:12 Yea, Yehovah shall give good, and our land shall give its produce.
85:13 Righteousness shall go before Him and shall make a way for His footsteps.
86:1 A Prayer of David.
O Yehovah, bow down Your ear, answer me, for I am poor and needy.
86:2 Guard my soul, for I am righteous; O You, my Elohim, save Your servant who trusts in You.
86:3 Give your grace to Me, O Yehovah, for I cry to You daily.
86:4 Give joy to the soul of Your servant; for to You, O Yehovah, I lift up my soul.
86:5 For You, O Yehovah, are good and ready to forgive, and rich in mercy to all who call on You.
86:6 O Yehovah, give ear to my prayer; listen to my voice of supplications.
86:7 I will call on You in the day of my trouble, for You will answer me.
86:8 None among the Elohim is like You, O Yehovah and none are like Your works.
86:9 All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You; yea, Yehovah they shall glorify Your name.
86:10 For You are great and do wonderful things; You are Elohim all comes from you.
86:11 Teach me Your way, O Yehovah; I will walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.
86:12 With all my heart I will thank You, O Yehovah my Elohim; and I will glorify Your name forevermore.114
86:13 For Your mercy toward me is great; and You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.
86:14 O Elohim, the proud have risen against me; and the troop of the violent have sought after my life, and have not set You before their eyes.
86:15 But You, O Yehovah, our El, full of pity; and gracious, longsuffering and rich in mercy and truth.
86:16 O turn to me and be gracious to me; give Your strength to Your servant, and save the son of Your handmaid.
86:17 Make me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see and be ashamed, O Yehovah, because You have helped me and comforted me.
87:1 For the sons of Korah. A Psalm. A Song.
His foundation is in the mountains of set-apartness.
87:2 Yehovah loves the gates of Zion more than all the tents of Ya'akov.
87:3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of The Elohim. Selah.
87:4 I will mention Rahab and Babylon to those who know me; look, Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
87:5 And it shall be said to Zion, This man and that man was born in her; and the Highest Himself shall establish her.
87:6 In recording the peoples Yehovah shall mark down, This man was born there. Selah.115
87:7 And the singers, the players of the pipe: all my springs are in You.
88:1 A Song. A Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief musician on Mahalath, to make humble. A Poem of Heman the Ezrahite.
O Yehovah Elohim of my salvation, I have cried in the day, in the night before You.
88:2 Let my prayer come before You; bow down Your ear to my cry.
88:3 For my soul is full with evils, and my life touches Sheol.
88:4 I am counted with those who go down to the Pit; I have been like a man without strength,
88:5 free among the dead, as pierced ones lying in the grave, whom You remember no more; yea by Your hand they are cut off.
88:6 You have laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps.
88:7 Your fury has lain hard upon me, and You afflict me with all Your waves. Selah.
88:8 You have taken ones knowing me away from me; You have made me a hateful thing to them; I am shut up, I will not go out.
88:9 My eye mourns because of affliction; O Yehovah, I have called on You every day; I have spread out my hands to You.
88:10 For will You do wonders for those dying? Or shall the departed spirits rise and thank You? Selah.
88:11 Shall Your mercy be declared in the grave, Your faithfulness amidst ruin?
88:12 Shall Your wonders be known in the dark, and Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
88:13 But to You I have cried, O Yehovah; and in the morning my prayer shall go before You.
88:14 O Yehovah, why do You cast off my soul; why do You hide Your face from me?
88:15 I am afflicted and dying from childhood; I suffer Your terrors; I am distracted.
88:16 Your fierce wrath goes over me; Your terrors have cut me off.
88:17 They surrounded me like waters all the day; they have come together around me.
88:18 You have taken lover and friend far from me, he who knows me, into darkness.
89:1 A Poem of Ethan the Ezrahite.
I will sing of the mercies of Yehovah forever; I will speak with my mouth Your faithfulness to all generations.
89:2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever; You shall establish Your faithfulness in the heavens.
89:3 I have cut a covenant with My elect; I have sworn to David My servant,
89:4 I will establish your Seed forever, and build up your throne to all generations. Selah. (2Sam 7:16, 1Kgs 8:16)
89:5 And the heavens shall thank Your wonders, O Yehovah; also Your faithfulness in the assembly of the set-apart ones.
89:6 For who in the sky shall be ranked with Yehovah, who among the sons of Elohim is like Yehovah? (Yob 5:1)
89:7 El is greatly to be feared in the council of the set apart ones, and to be adored by all around Him.
89:8 O Yehovah Elohim of Hosts, who is a strong Yah like You? And Your faithfulness is all around You.
89:9 You rule the pride of the sea; when its waves rise high, You still them.
89:10 You have crushed Rahab in pieces, as one slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm. (Is 51:9)
89:11 The heavens are Yours, and the earth is Yours; the world and its fullness, You founded them. (Is 24:1)
89:12 You have created the north and the south; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Your name.
89:13 You have a mighty arm; Your hand is strong, Your right hand is high.
89:14 Justice and righteousness are Your throne's foundation; mercy and truth go before Your face.
89:15 Blessed is the people knowing the joyful sound; O Yehovah, they shall walk in the light of Your face.
89:16 They shall rejoice in Your name always; and they are exalted in Your righteousness.
89:17 For You are the glory of their strength; and by Your favor You lift up our horn.
89:18 For Yehovah is our shield, yea, the set apart One of Yisrael our King.
89:19 Then You spoke in a vision to Your set apart one; and You said, I have laid help on a mighty one. I have exalted a chosen one from the people.
89:20 I have found My servant David; I have anointed him with My set apart oil.
89:21 My hand shall be fixed with him; and My arm shall make him strong.
89:22 An enemy will not exact against him; nor the son of iniquity afflict him.
89:23 And I will beat down his foes before him, and plague those hating him.
89:24 But My faithfulness and My mercy is with him; and his horn shall be exalted in My name.
89:25 And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
89:26 He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are my El, and the rock of my salvation (Y’shua*).
89:27 And I will make Him My first-born, higher than the kings of the earth.116
89:28 I will keep My mercy for him forever, and My covenant shall hold fast with him.
89:29 And I have established his Seed forever, and His throne as the days of the heavens.
89:30 If his sons forsake My Torah, and do not walk in My judgments;
89:31 if they profane My statutes and do not keep My commandments;
89:32 then I will visit their transgressions with the rod, and their sins with stripes.
89:33 But I will not annul My mercy from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness.
89:34 I will not profane My covenant, nor change what goes from My lips.
89:35 Once I have sworn by My set-apartness; I will not lie to David.
89:36 His Seed shall be forever, and his throne as the sun before Me.117
89:37 Like the moon, it shall be forever; and a faithful witness in the sky. Selah.
89:38 But You have cast off and rejected us; You have passed over on Your anointed.
89:39 You have turned away from the covenant of Your servant; You have defiled his crown on the ground.
89:40 You have broken down all his hedges; You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
89:41 All who pass by the way plunder him; he is a curse to his neighbors.
89:42 You have set up the right hand of his enemies; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
89:43 And you have turned back the edge of his sword, and have not held him up in battle.
89:44 You have made his glory to cease and have hurled his throne to the ground.
89:45 You have shortened the days of his youth; You have covered him with shame. Selah.
89:46 O Yehovah, until when will You hide Yourself? Shall Your wrath burn like fire forever?
89:47 Remember, I pray, the time of life; for what vanity have you created all the sons of men?
89:48 What man lives and never sees death? Shall he deliver his soul from the hand of Sheol? Selah.
89:49 Yehovah where are Your former kindnesses that You swore to David in Your faithfulness?
89:50 Remember, O Yehovah, the reproach of Your servants, my bearing in my bosom the insults of the many peoples
89:51 with which Your enemies have cursed, O Yehovah; with which they have cursed the footsteps of Your anointed.
89:52 Blessed be Yehovah forever. Amen and Amen!
90:1 A Prayer of Mosheh, the Man of The Elohim.
O Yehovah, You have been our dwelling-place in all generations.
90:2 Before the mountains were born, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting You are El.
90:3 You turn man to dust, and say, return, O sons of men.
90:4 For a thousand years in Your eyes are as a day, yesterday, when it passes, and as a watch in the night. (2Pe 3:8)
90:5 You flooded them away; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass growing;
90:6 in the morning it sprouts and shoots up; in the evening it is cut off and dries up.
90:7 For we are consumed by Your anger, and we are troubled by Your wrath.
90:8 You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your face.
90:9 For all our days pass away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a sigh.
90:10 The days of our years are seventy; and if any by strength live eighty years, yet their pride is labor and vanity; for it soon passes, and we fly away.
90:11 Who knows the power of Your anger? And as Your fear is, so is Your fury.
90:12 So teach us to number our days, so that we may bring a heart of wisdom.118
90:13 Return, O Yehovah! Until when? And give pity to Your servants.
90:14 O satisfy us in the morning with Your mercy, and we will be glad and rejoice all our days.
90:15 Make us glad according to the days of our affliction, the years in which we have seen evil.
90:16 Let Your work be seen in Your servants, and Your majesty to their sons.
90:17 And let the delight of Yehovah our Elohim be upon us; and establish the works of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands, establish it!
91:1 He that dwells in the help of the Highest, shall sojourn under the shelter of the Elohim of heaven.119 (Ps 57:1)
91:2 I will say to Yehovah: My Refuge and my Fortress, my Elohim; I will trust in Him.
91:3 For He delivers you from the fowlers snare, from destruction's plague.
91:4 With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you shall seek refuge; His truth is a shield and buckler.
91:5 You shall not fear the terror of night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
91:6 of the plague that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction laying waste at noon.
91:7 A thousand shall fall by your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; it shall not come near you.
91:8 Only with your eyes you shall look, and see the recompense of the wicked.
91:9 Because You, O Yehovah, are My refuge; You make the Most High Your habitation,
91:10 no evil shall happen to You, nor shall any plague come near Your tent.
91:11 For He shall give His messengers charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways.
91:12 They shall bear You up in their hands, that You not dash Your foot on a stone.120 (Math 4:6, Luk 4:10-11)
91:13 You shall tread on the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent You shall trample under foot.
91:14 Because He has set His love on Me, therefore I will deliver Him; I will set Him on high because He has known My name.
91:15 He shall call on Me and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in distress; I will rescue Him and honor Him.121
91:16 I will satisfy him with length of days, and will make Him see My salvation.
92:1 A Psalm, A Song for the Sabbath Day.
It is good to give thanks to Yehovah, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
92:2 to make Your mercy known in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night;
92:3 on the ten strings, and on the harp; on the lyre with sounding music.122
92:4 For You have rejoiced me with Your work, O Yehovah; I will shout in the works of Your hands.
92:5 How great are Your works! O Yehovah, Your intentions are very deep.
92:6 An animal-like man does not know; a fool does not understand this.
92:7 When the wicked flourish like grass, and all the evildoers blossom, it is for them to be destroyed forever.
92:8 But You, O Yehovah, are exalted forever.
92:9 For, lo, Your enemies, O Yehovah; for, lo, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered.
92:10 But You will lift up my horn as the wild ox, and I will be anointed with fresh oil.
92:11 And my eye shall look on my enemies; my ears shall hear the evildoers who rise up against me.
92:12 The righteous shall flourish as the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
92:13 Those planted in the house of Yehovah, in the courts of our Elohim, shall flourish.
92:14 They shall bear fruit in old age; they shall be fat and fresh,
92:15 to declare that Yehovah is upright, my Rock! And in Him is no evil.
93:1 Yehovah reigns! He is clothed with majesty; Yehovah is clothed with strength; He girded Himself; and the world is established; it shall not be shaken.
93:2 Your throne is established from then; You are from everlasting.
93:3 The floods have lifted up; O Yehovah, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods have lifted their roaring waves.
93:4 Yehovah on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.
93:5 Your testimonies are very sure; set-apartness becomes Your house to length of days, O Yehovah.
94:1 O, El of vengeance; O Yehovah, El of vengeance, shine forth!
94:2 Lift up Yourself, O Judge of the earth; give a just recompense on the proud.
94:3 Until when shall the wicked, O Yehovah, until when shall the wicked exult?
94:4 They sputter, they speak impudent things; all the workers of evil speak proudly.
94:5 O Yehovah, they crush Your people and afflict Your inheritance.
94:6 They kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the orphan.123
94:7 Yet they say, Yehovah shall not see, nor shall the Elohim of Ya'akov observe.
94:8 Understand you beastly ones among the people; yea, you fools, when will you be wise?
94:9 He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
94:10 He who chastises the nations, shall He not punish, He who teaches man knowledge?
94:11 Yehovah knows the thoughts of man, that they are vain.
94:12 Blessed is the man You chasten, O Yah, You teach him out of Your Torah;124 (Ps 19:7-11, Ps 111:7-10)
94:13 to give him rest from troubled days, until the pit is dug for the wicked.
94:14 For Yehovah will not leave His people; nor will He forsake His inheritance.
94:15 For judgment shall turn to righteousness; and all the upright in heart shall follow after it.125
94:16 Who will rise up for Me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for Me against the workers of evil?
94:17 Unless Yehovah had been my help, my soul would almost have dwelt in silence.
94:18 If I said, My foot slides, O Yehovah, Your mercy has held me up.126
94:19 In the multitude of my inward thoughts, Your comforts delight my soul.
94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You, forming mischief for a statute?
94:21 They crowd themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the blood of the innocent.
94:22 But Yehovah is my tower of defense; and my Elohim is the rock of my refuge.
94:23 And He shall turn their own iniquity upon them; and He shall destroy them in their own evil, Yehovah our Elohim shall cut them off!127 (Hab 1:1-5)
95:1 O come, let us sing to Yehovah; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation (Y’shua*). (1Cor 10:4)
95:2 Let us come before His face with praise; let us shout for joy to Him with songs. (Ps 100:2, Mic 6:6, Eph 5:19)
95:3 For Yehovah is a great El, and a great King above all elohim.
95:4 The deep places of the earth are in His hand; the summits of the mountains also are His.
95:5 The sea is His, and He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Yehovah our Maker. (Dan 6:10-11, 2Sam 12:16)
95:7 For He is our Elohim; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice,
95:8 do not harden your heart as in the day of strife, as in the day of testing in the wilderness.
95:9 When your fathers tried Me, they tested Me and they saw My work.
95:10 For forty years I was disgusted with that generation; and I said, They are a people who err in heart; and they do not know My ways,
95:11 to whom I swore in My anger, They shall not enter into My rest.128
96:1 O sing to Yehovah a new song; sing to Yehovah, all the earth.
96:2 Sing to Yehovah; bless His name, bear news of His salvation (Y’shua*) day by day.
96:3 Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonders among all people.
96:4 For Yehovah is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
96:5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols; but Yehovah made the heavens.
96:6 Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
96:7 Give to Yehovah, O families of the people; give to Yehovah glory and might.
96:8 Give to Yehovah the glory due His name; bring an offering and come into His courts.129 (Ps 100:4)
96:9 Oh worship Yehovah in the beauty of set-apartness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
96:10 Say among the nations, Yehovah reigns; and, The world shall be established, it shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples in uprightness.
96:11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fullness of it.
96:12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it; then the trees of the forest shall rejoice
96:13 before Yehovah; for He comes; for He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.
97:1 Yehovah reigns! Let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of islands be glad.
97:2 Clouds and darkness are all around Him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His throne.
97:3 A fire goes before Him and burns up His enemies all around.
97:4 His lightnings lit up the world; the earth saw and trembled.
97:5 The mountains melted like wax before the face of Yehovah, before the face of Yehovah of the whole earth.
97:6 The heavens declare His righteousness and all the people see His glory.
97:7 All who serve graven images are shamed, those who boast themselves in idols; all gods bow down before Him.
97:8 Zion heard and was glad; yea, the daughters of Yehudah rejoiced because of Your judgments, O Yehovah.
97:9 For You, Yehovah, are exalted above all the earth; You are lifted on high far above all gods.
97:10 You who love Yehovah, hate evil. He keeps the souls of His set-apart ones; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
97:11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
97:12 Be glad in Yehovah, O righteous ones; give thanks to the memory of His set-apartness.
98:1 A Psalm.
O sing to Yehovah a new song, for He has done wondrous things; His right hand and His set apart arm has saved for Him.
98:2 Yehovah has revealed His Y’shua* to the eyes of the nations.; He unveiled His righteousness
98:3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Yisrael; all the ends of the earth have seen (Aleph/Tav) Y’shua* from our Elohim.
98:4 Shout joyfully to Yehovah, all the earth; break out and rejoice and sing praise.
98:5 Sing praise to Yehovah with the lyre; with the lyre and the voice of a song.
98:6 With trumpets and the sound of a horn, shout joyfully before Yehovah the King.
98:7 Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it.
98:8 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the heights shout for joy together,
98:9 before Yehovah; for He comes to judge the earth; with righteousness He shall judge the world, and the peoples in uprightness.
99:1 Yehovah reigns; let the peoples tremble; He sits between the messengers; let the earth quake. (Ps 80:1)
99:2 Yehovah is great in Zion; and He is high above all the peoples. (Ps 48:1)
99:3 They shall thank Your great and fearful name; it is set apart.130
99:4 The king's strength also loves judgment; You establish uprightness; You worked judgment and righteousness in Ya'akov.
99:5 Exalt Yehovah our Elohim and worship at His footstool; He is set apart.131
99:6 Mosheh and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name; they called to Yehovah, and He answered them.132
99:7 He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; they kept His testimonies and the Torah that He gave to them.
99:8 You answered them, O Yehovah our Elohim; to them You were an El who forgives them, but taking vengeance on their works.
99:9 Exalt Yehovah our Elohim and worship at His set apart hill; for Yehovah our Elohim is set apart.
100:1 A Psalm of Thanksgiving.
Shout joyfully to Yehovah, all the land.
100:2 Worship Yehovah with gladness; come before His face with joyful singing.
100:3 Know that Yehovah, He is Elohim; He has made us, and not we ourselves, His people and the sheep of His pasture. (Gen 1:26-27)
100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him; bless His name. (Ps 96:8)
100:5 For Yehovah is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness to generation and generation.
101:1 A Psalm of David.
I will sing of mercy and judgment; to You O Yehovah, I will sing praise.
101:2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way; O when will You come to me? I will walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house.
101:3 I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not fasten upon me.
101:4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know evil.
101:5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will cut him off; I will not endure him who has high eyes and a proud heart.
101:6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, so that they may dwell with me; he who walks in a perfect way shall serve me.
101:7 He who works deceit shall not live inside my house; he who speaks lies shall not be established before my eyes.133
101:8 In the mornings I will cut off all the wicked of the land, so that I may cut off all the evil workers from the city of Yehovah.
102:1 A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is faint and pours out his complaint before Yehovah.134
Hear my prayer, O Yehovah, and let my cry come to You.
102:2 Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; bow down Your ear to me in the day I call; answer me quickly.
102:3 For my days are finished in smoke, and my bones are burned like a hearth.135
102:4 My heart is stricken and dried like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread.
102:5 Because of the voice of my sighing, my bones cleave to my flesh.136
102:6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl of the desert.
102:7 I watch and am like a sparrow alone on the housetop.
102:8 My enemies curse me all the day long; my very name has been used as curse against me.137
102:9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and have mixed my drink with weeping,138
102:10 because of Your anger and Your wrath; for You have lifted me and cast me down.
102:11 My days are like a shadow stretched out, and I wither like grass.
102:12 But You, O Yehovah, shall dwell forever, and Your memory to generation and generation.
102:13 You shall arise; have mercy on Zion, for the time to pity her, yea, the appointed time (mo'ed) has come.139
102:14 For Your servants take pleasure in its stones, and pity its dust.140
102:15 So nations shall fear the name of Yehovah, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.141
102:16 When Yehovah shall build up Zion, He shall appear in His glory.142
102:17 He will turn to the prayer of the destitute, and will not despise their prayer.
102:18 This shall be written for the last generation1430, and people to be created shall praise Yehovah.
102:19 For He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary; Yehovah looked from Heaven to the earth,
102:20 to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free the sons of death,1441
102:21 to declare the name of Yehovah in Zion, and His praise in Yerushalayim,
102:22 when the peoples and the kingdoms are gathered together to serve Yehovah.1452
102:23 He diminished my strength in the way; He shortened my days.
102:24 I said, O my Elohim, do not take me up in the half of my days; Your years are through the generation of generations.
102:25 In the beginning You, O Yehovah, laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands.
102:26 They shall perish, but You shall endure; yea, all of them shall wear out like a garment; You shall change them like clothing, and they shall be changed. (Yob 40:10)
102:27 But You are He, and Your years shall not be ended.
102:28 The sons of Your servants shall dwell, and their seed shall be established before You.
103:1 Of David.
Bless Yehovah, O my soul, and all within me, bless His set apart name.
103:2 Bless Yehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His rewards;
103:3 He who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;
103:4 who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with kindness and tender mercies;146
103:5 who satisfies your desire with good; your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
103:6 Yehovah works righteous deeds and judgments for all the oppressed.
103:7 He made known His ways to Mosheh, His acts to the sons of Yisrael.
103:8 Yehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and of abundant mercy.
103:9 He will not always strive, nor will He keep His anger forever.
103:10 He has not done to us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
103:11 For as the heavens are above the earth, so is His mercy mighty over those who fear Him.
103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
103:13 As the pity of a father over his sons, so Yehovah pities those who fear Him.
103:14 For He knows how we are made, remembering that we are dust.
103:15 As for man, his days are as grass; as the flower of the field, so he flourishes.147
103:16 For the wind passes over it, and it is not; and its place never knows it again.
103:17 But the mercy of Yehovah is from everlasting, even to everlasting, on those who fear Him; yea, His righteousness is to the sons of sons;
103:18 to those who keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments, to do them.148
103:19 Yehovah has prepared His throne in Heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.
103:20 Bless Yehovah, O messengers of His; mighty in strength; doing His Word; listening to the voice of His Word.
103:21 Bless Yehovah, all His hosts, ministers of His, doing His will.149
103:22 Bless Yehovah, all His works in all the places of His dominion; bless Yehovah, O my soul.
104:1 Bless Yehovah, O my soul! O Yehovah my Elohim, You are very great; You have put on honor and majesty,
104:2 covering Yourself with light like a cloak, and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;
104:3 who lays beams in the waters of His upper rooms; setting thick clouds as His chariots; walking on the wings of the wind.
104:4 He makes His messengers spirits, His ministers a flaming fire.
104:5 He founded the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever and ever.
104:6 You have covered the deep as with a robe; the waters stood above the mountains.
104:7 From Your rebuke, they flee; from the sound of Your thunder, they hurry away.
104:8 They go up the mountains; they go down the valleys to the place which You founded for them.
104:9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; they shall not return to cover the earth.
104:10 He sends springs into the valleys; they flow between the hills;
104:11 they give drink to every animal of the field; wild donkeys break their thirst;
104:12 over them the birds of the heavens dwell; they give voice from between the branches.
104:13 He waters the hills from His upper rooms; the earth is satisfied from the fruit of Your works.
104:14 He causes the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for the service of man, to bring food out of the earth.
104:15 And wine cheers the heart of man; oil makes his face shine, and bread sustains the heart of man.150
104:16 The trees of Yehovah are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon that He planted;
104:17 there where the birds nest; the fir trees are the house of the stork;
104:18 high hills are for the wild goats; rocks are a refuge for the badgers.
104:19 He made the moon for seasons151; the sun knows its going down.
104:20 You put darkness, and it is night; in it all the forest animals creep.
104:21 The young lions roar for prey, and to seek their food from El.
104:22 The sun rises; they are gathered, and go to their dens to lie down.
104:23 Man goes out to his work, and to his labor until the evening.
104:24 O Yehovah, how many are Your works! You have made all of them in wisdom; the earth is full of Your riches.
104:25 This is the sea, great and wide on both hands; there are creeping things even without number; living things, small and great.
104:26 There the ships go; You formed this great sea-animal to play in it.
104:27 All of them wait for You to give them their food in due season.
104:28 You give to them; they gather; You open Your hand, and they are filled with good.
104:29 You hide Your face, and they are troubled; You gather their breath, and they expire and return to their dust.
104:30 You send out Your ruach, and they are created; and You renew the face of the earth. (Gen 1:1-2)
104:31 The glory of Yehovah shall be forever; Yehovah shall rejoice in His works.
104:32 He looks to the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke.
104:33 I will sing to Yehovah during my life; I will sing praise to my Elohim while I still exist.
104:34 My meditation on Him shall be sweet; I will be glad in Yehovah.
104:35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth and let the wicked be no more; bless Yehovah, O my soul; praise Yehovah!
105:1 O give thanks to Yehovah; call on His name; make His deeds known among the peoples.
105:2 Sing to Him; sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders.
105:3 Glory in His set apart name; let the heart of those who seek Yehovah rejoice.
105:4 Seek Yehovah and His strength; seek His face without ceasing.
105:5 Remember His wonders that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments of His mouth,
105:6 O seed of His servant Abraham; O sons of Ya'akov, His chosen ones.
105:7 He is Yehovah our Elohim; His judgments are in all the earth;
105:8 He has remembered His covenant forever; the Word He commanded to a thousand generations;
105:9 which He cut with Abraham, and His oath to Yitzhak;
105:10 and He confirmed it to Ya'akov for a statute, to Yisrael for a perpetual covenant;
105:11 saying, to you I will give the land of Canaan, the portion of your inheritance;152
105:12 when they were a few men of number; very few, and aliens in it.
105:13 And they went about from nation to nation; from one kingdom to another people.
105:14 He allowed no man to oppress them; yea, He reproved kings for their sakes;
105:15 saying, Touch not My anointed; and do My prophets no harm.
105:16 And He called a famine on the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.153
105:17 He sent a man before them, Yoseph, being sold for a slave;
105:18 they hurt his feet with chains; his soul came into iron;
105:19 until the time His Word came, the Word of Yehovah refined him;
105:20 the king, the ruler of peoples, sent and released him and even set him free;
105:21 he made him master of his house, and ruler over all he owned;
105:22 to bind his leaders at his will, and to teach his elders wisdom.
105:23 Yisrael also came into Mitsrayim, and Ya'akov sojourned in the land of Ham.
105:24 And He increased His people greatly and made them stronger than their enemies.
105:25 He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
105:26 He sent His servant Mosheh and Aaron whom He had chosen.
105:27 They put things of His signs among them; yea, miracles in the land of Ham.
105:28 He sent darkness and made it dark; and they did not rebel against His Word.
105:29 He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.
105:30 Their land swarmed with frogs in the rooms of their kings.
105:31 He spoke, and fly swarms came; gnats in all their borders.
105:32 He gave hail for their rain, flaming fire in their land.
105:33 He struck their vines also, and their fig trees; and He broke the trees of their borders.
105:34 He spoke, and locusts came; and larvae without number;
105:35 and they ate up all the plants in the land; yea, ate the fruit of their ground.
105:36 He also struck all the first-born in their land, the first-fruit of all their vigor.
105:37 And He led them out with silver and gold; and among their tribes, not one was weak in their legs.
105:38 Mitsrayim was glad when they went out, for their dread had fallen on them.
105:39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
105:40 He asked, and He brought quail; and satisfied them with the food from the heavens.
105:41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they went in the dry places like a river.
105:42 For He remembered His set apart promise and His servant Abraham;
105:43 and He brought His people out with joy; His chosen ones with gladness.
105:44 And He gave to them the lands of the nations; and they inherited the labor of the peoples;
105:45 so that they might observe His statutes and keep His Torah. Praise Yehovah!
106:1 Halleluyah! Give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
106:2 Who can express the mighty works of Yehovah, or cause all His praise to be heard?
106:3 Blessed are those keeping judgment, he who does righteousness at all times.
106:4 Remember me, Yehovah, with the favor of Your people; O visit me with Your salvation*,
106:5 to see the good of Your chosen, to rejoice in the joy of Your nation, to glory with Your inheritance.
106:6 We have sinned with our fathers; we did iniquity; we did evil.
106:7 Our fathers did not ponder Your wonders in Mitsrayim; they did not remember Your many mercies, and they rebelled at the sea, at the Red Sea.
106:8 But He saved them for His name's sake, to make known His might.
106:9 And He rebuked the Red Sea; and it dried up; and He made them go through the depths as through the wilderness.
106:10 And He saved them from the hand of the one hating, and ransomed him from the hand of the enemy;
106:11 and waters covered their enemies; not one of them was left.
106:12 Then they believed His Words; they sang His praise.
106:13 They hurried and forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel;
106:14 and they greedily lusted in the wilderness, and tested El in the desert.
106:15 And He gave their request to them, but sent wasting into their soul.
106:16 And they were jealous of Mosheh the set apart one of Yehovah in the camp of Aaron;
106:17 the earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; and covered the company of Abiram.
106:18 And a fire burned in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
106:19 They made a calf in Horeb, and fell down before the casted image;
106:20 and they changed their Glory into the image of an ox eating grass.154
106:21 They forgot El their deliverer, who was doing great things in Mitsrayim;
106:22 wonders in the land of Ham, awesome things by the Red Sea.
106:23 And He said to destroy them; except Mosheh His chosen had stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath from destroying them.
106:24 They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His Word.
106:25 And they murmured in their tents, not listening to the voice of Yehovah; (Num 14:2)
106:26 and He lifted up His hand to them, to make them fall in the wilderness;
106:27 to make their seed fall also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
106:28 They also were joined to Baal-Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the ones who died;
106:29 and provoked Him with their deeds; and a plague broke out among them.
106:30 Then Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was stayed;
106:31 and it was counted to him for righteousness to generation and generation, forever.
106:32 And they angered Him at The Waters of Provocation, and it went ill for Mosheh because of them;
106:33 for they provoked his ruach, and he spoke rashly with his lips.
106:34 They did not destroy the peoples, as Yehovah said to them,
106:35 but mixed with the nations, and learned their works.
106:36 And they served their idols, and they became a snare to them.
106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons;
106:38 and they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. And the land was polluted with the blood. (2Kg 21:6, 16)
106:39 And they were unclean with their works, and went whoring in their acts.
106:40 And the anger of Yehovah burned against His people; and He detested His inheritance.
106:41 And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and those who hated them ruled over them.
106:42 And their enemies oppressed them and they were humbled under their hand.
106:43 Many times He delivered them, but they rebelled in their plans, and sank in their iniquities.
106:44 And He looked on their affliction when He heard their shout;
106:45 He remembered His covenant for them, and breathed a sigh, according to His many mercies.
106:46 And He gave them to tender mercies before all their captors.
106:47 Save us, O Yehovah our Elohim, and gather us from the nations, to give thanks to Your set apart name, to exult in Your praise.
106:48 Blessed is Yehovah Elohim of Yisrael, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Amen! Halleluyah!155
107:1 Give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
107:2 Let the redeemed of Yehovah say so, whom He redeemed from the hand of the foe;
107:3 and gathered them from the lands; from east and from west; from north and from south.
107:4 They wandered in the wilderness, in a desert way; they found no city of dwelling;
107:5 hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them;
107:6 and they cried to Yehovah in their distress; He delivered them from their straits.
107:7 And He guided them in the right way; to go to a city of dwelling.
107:8 Let them thank Yehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.
107:9 He satisfies the thirsty soul, and He fills the hungry soul with good.
107:10 Those who live in the darkness, and in the shadow of death, being prisoners in affliction and iron,
107:11 because they rebelled against the Words of El, and despised the counsel of the Most High;
107:12 and He humbled their heart by toil; they stumbled, and none were helping;
107:13 and they cried to Yehovah in their distress; He saved them out of their distresses;
107:14 He brought them out from darkness and the shadow of death; and He broke their bonds apart.
107:15 Let them thank Yehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.
107:16 For He has broken the gates of bronze; and He cut bars of iron in two.
107:17 Fools are afflicted from the way of their rebellion, and from their iniquities;
107:18 their soul hates every food; and they touch the gates of death;
107:19 and they cried to Yehovah in their distress; He saved them from their straits;
107:20 He sent His Word and healed them; and delivered them from all their pitfalls.
107:21 Let them thank Yehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.
107:22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount His works with rejoicing.
107:23 They who go down to the sea in ships, who work in the great waters;
107:24 these see the works of Yehovah, and His wonders in the deep.
107:25 For He speaks, and He raises stormy wind, and makes its waves high;
107:26 they go up to the heavens; they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because they are in evil;
107:27 they reel and stagger like a drunken man, and all their wisdom is swallowed up;
107:28 and they cry to Yehovah in their distress, and from their straits He brings them out.
107:29 He settles the storm to a whisper, so that its waves are still;
107:30 and they are glad, because they are quiet; and He led them to their desired haven.
107:31 Let them thank Yehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of mankind;
107:32 and exalt Him in the house of assembly of the people; and praise Him in the seat of the elders.
107:33 He sets rivers to a wilderness, and water springs to thirsty ground;
107:34 a fruitful land to a salty desert; because of the wickedness of those who live in it.
107:35 He puts the wilderness into pools of water; and dry land into water springs;
107:36 and He makes the hungry live there, and they may prepare a city of dwelling.
107:37 And they sow the fields, and plant vineyards, and make fruits of produce.
107:38 He also blesses them, so that they multiply greatly; and He does not allow their cattle to diminish;
107:39 but they are diminished and bowed down from coercion, evil and grief.
107:40 He pours scorn on nobles, and causes them to wander in a desert; there is no path.
107:41 But He raises the poor up from affliction, and He sets families like a flock.
107:42 The upright shall see and be glad; and all iniquity shuts its mouth.
107:43 Whoever is wise and will observe these things, they shall discern the mercies of Yehovah.
108:1 A Song. A Psalm of David.
O Elohim, my heart is fixed; I will sing; yea, I will sing songs even with my glory.
108:2 Awake, harp and lyre! I will awake early;
108:3 I will thank You, O Yehovah, among the peoples; and I will sing to You among the nations.
108:4 For Your mercy is great above the heavens; and Your truth reaches to the clouds.
108:5 Be lifted up, O Elohim, above the heavens; and Your glory above all the earth;
108:6 O that Your beloved may be delivered; save by Your right hand and answer me.
108:7 Elohim has spoken in His set-apartness; I will rejoice; I will portion out Shechem; and I will measure out the valley of Succoth.
108:8 Gilead is Mine; and Manasseh is Mine; and Ephraim is the refuge of My head; Yehudah is My lawgiver;
108:9 Moab is My washpot; I will throw My shoe out over Edom; I will shout in triumph over Philistia.156
108:10 Who will lead me into the fortified city? Who will lead me over Edom?
108:11 O Elohim, have You not cast us off? And, O Elohim, will You not go out with our armies?
108:12 Give help to us from distress; for the deliverance of man is vanity.
108:13 In Elohim we shall do mighty things, for He shall trample ones oppressing us.
109:1 To the chief musician, A Psalm of David.
O Elohim of my praise, do not be silent;
109:2 for the mouth of the wicked, and the deceitful mouth, are opened against me; they spoke against me with a lying tongue. (Pr 6:16-19)
109:3 And they hemmed me in with words of hating; and they fought against me without a cause. (Ps 69:4)
109:4 In return for my love, they are my enemies; but I am in prayer.
109:5 And they put on me evil for good, and hating for my love. (Joh 7:7)
109:6 Set a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand;
109:7 when he is judged, let him go out wicked; and let his prayer become sin;
109:8 let his days be few; and let another take his office;
109:9 his sons be orphans, and his wife a widow;
109:10 and let his sons always beg and wander, and seek food out of their ruins;
109:11 let the moneylender lay a snare for all that is his; and let strangers plunder his labor;
109:12 let there be none giving mercy to him; nor any to have pity on his orphans;
109:13 let his posterity be cut off; let their name be blotted out in the following generation;
109:14 let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered to Yehovah; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out;
109:15 let them be always before Yehovah, so that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth;
109:16 because he did not remember to do mercy; and he persecuted the poor and needy man, even to kill the broken of heart.
109:17 Yea, he loved cursing, and it came to him; he also had no pleasure in blessing, and it was far from him.
109:18 And he put on cursing as his robe, and it came like water in his inward parts, and like oil into his bones.
109:19 Let it be to him as a garment he wraps in, and for a girdle that he always girds on.
109:20 This is the reward of my foes from Yehovah, and of those who speak evil against my soul.157
109:21 But You, O Yehovah Adonai, work with me for Your name's sake; deliver me because Your mercy is good.
109:22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is pierced within me.
109:23 As a shadow when it stretches out, I am gone; I am shaken off like the locust.
109:24 My knees stumble from fasting, and my flesh grows lean from fatness.
109:25 And I have become a reproach to them; they looked at me; they shook their heads. (Math 27:39)
109:26 O Yehovah my Elohim, save me; save me according to Your mercy;
109:27 and they will know that this is Your hand; that You, O Yehovah, have done it.
109:28 They will curse, but You will bless; they rise up and are ashamed; but Your servant will be glad.
109:29 Let those who accuse me be clothed with shame; and cover themselves in their shame as with a robe.
109:30 I will greatly thank Yehovah with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him in the midst of the multitude.
109:31 For He shall stand at the right hand of the needy; to save from those judging his soul.
110:1 A Psalm of David.
A declaration of Yehovah to my Master: Sit at My right hand, until I place Your enemies as Your footstool.158
110:2 Yehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion to rule in the midst of Your enemies.
110:3 With you is dominion in the day of your power, in the splendors of your set-apart ones; I have begotten you from the womb before the morning.
110:4 Yehovah has sworn and will not repent: You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.159
110:5 Yehovah at Your right hand shatters kings in the day of His anger.160
110:6 He shall judge among the nations; He shall fill with dead bodies; He shall shatter heads over much land.161
110:7 He shall drink out of the torrent on the way; therefore, He shall lift up the head.
111:1 HalleluYah!162 I will thank Yehovah with all my heart; in the council of the upright, and of the assembly.
111:2 The works of Yehovah are great, sought out by all those desiring them.
111:3 His work is honorable and glorious; and His righteousness is standing forever.
111:4 He has made a memorial for His wonders; Yehovah is gracious and full of pity.
111:5 He has given food to those who fear Him; He will always remember His covenant.
111:6 He has shown to His people the power of His works, to give to them the inheritance of the nations.
111:7 The works of His hands are truth and judgment all His commandments are true,
111:8 standing firm forever and ever; they are done in truth and uprightness.163
111:9 He sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever; set apart and awesome is His name.
111:10 The fear of Yehovah is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding to all those who are practicing them;164 His praise is standing forever!
112:1 HalleluYah! Blessed is the man who fears Yehovah, delighting greatly in His commandments.165
112:2 His seed shall be mighty on the earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed;
112:3 wealth and riches are in his house; and his righteousness is standing forever.
112:4 Light rises in the darkness to the upright; he is gracious and full of pity, and of righteousness.
112:5 Good is a man showing favor and lending; he will measure his matters with justice.
112:6 For he shall not be shaken forever; the righteous shall be for a memorial forever.
112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil news; his heart is fixed, trusting in Yehovah.
112:8 His heart is upheld; he shall not be afraid though he looks on his foes.
112:9 He has scattered; he has given to the needy; his righteousness is standing forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.
112:10 The wicked shall see and be vexed; he shall gnash his teeth and melt; the desire of the wicked shall perish.
113:1 HalleluYah! Praise, O servants of Yehovah; praise the name of Yehovah.
113:2 Blessed is the name of Yehovah from now on and forevermore.
113:3 From the rising of the sun to its going, the name of Yehovah is to be praised.166
113:4 Yehovah is high above all nations; His glory above the heavens.
113:5 Who is like Yehovah our Elohim, who sit on high to dwell;
113:6 Who humbles Himself to consider all in the earth and the heavens!
113:7 He raises up the poor from the dust; He lifts the needy out of the dunghill, (1Sam 2:8, Ps 35:10, 107:41)
113:8 in order to make him sit with nobles, with the nobles of his people.
113:9 He causes the barren to live in the house as the joyful mother of sons. HalleluYah! (1Sam 2:5, 2Kgs 4:14-17)
114:1 When Yisrael came out of Mitsrayim, the house of Ya'akov from a people of strange language; (Is 28:11, Zeph 3:9)
114:2 Yehudah became His sanctuary, Yisrael His kingdom.
114:3 The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back;
114:4 the mountains skipped like rams; the little hills like lambs!
114:5 What ails you, O sea, that you flee? O Jordan, that you turn back?
114:6 O mountains, that you skip like rams? O little hills, like lambs?
114:7 Tremble, O earth, from the face of the master, from the face of the Elohim of Ya'akov;
114:8 who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
115:1 Not to us, O Yehovah, not to us, but to Your name give glory; on account of Your mercy, on account of Your truth.
115:2 Why do the nations say, Where is their Elohim now?
115:3 But our Elohim is in Heaven; He has done all that He has pleased.
115:4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of man's hands;
115:5 they have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;
115:6 they have ears, but they do not hear; they have a nose, but they do not smell;
115:7 their hands do not feel; their feet do not walk; they do not mutter through their throat.
115:8 The ones who make them are like them, and everyone trusting in them.
115:9 O Yisrael, trust in Yehovah; He is their help and their shield.
115:10 O house of Aaron, trust in Yehovah; He is their help and their shield.
115:11 Ones fearing Yehovah, trust in Yehovah; He is their help and their shield.
115:12 Yehovah remembers us; He will bless; He will bless the house of Yisrael; He will bless the house of Aaron;
115:13 He will bless those who fear Yehovah, the small and the great.
115:14 Yehovah will add on to you; on you and on your sons.
115:15 You are blessed to Yehovah, He who makes heavens and earth.
115:16 The heavens; the heavens belong to Yehovah, but He has given the earth to the sons of men. (Is 66:1, Gen 1:26-27)
115:17 The dying do not praise Yehovah, nor all those who go down into silence;167 (Eccl 9:5, Ps 88:10-12)
115:18 but we will bless Yehovah, from now on and forever. HalleluYah!168
116:1 I love Yehovah because He hears my voice, my earnest prayers.
116:2 Because He has bowed His ear to me, I will also call in my days.
116:3 The cords of death encompassed me; and the pains of Sheol found me; I find distress and sorrow; (Ps 18:4-5)
116:4 then I call on the name of Yehovah: O Yehovah, I beseech You, deliver my soul! (Ps 18:6)
116:5 Yehovah is gracious and righteous; yea, our Elohim is merciful.
116:6 Yehovah watches over the simple; I was low, but He saved me.
116:7 Return to your rest, O soul; for Yehovah has dealt bountifully with you.
116:8 For You have delivered my soul from death, my eye from tears, my feet from stumbling.
116:9 I will walk before the face of Yehovah in the lands of the living. (Ps 27:13)
116:10 I believed, therefore I have spoken; but I was greatly afflicted;
116:11 I said in my alarm, Every man is a liar. (Ro 3:4, Num 23:19)
116:12 What shall I return to Yehovah for His benefits to me?
116:13 I will lift up the cup of (salvation*) salvation, and I will call on the name of Yehovah.169
116:14 I will pay my vows to Yehovah now in the presence of all His people. (Ps 22:25)
116:15 Precious in the eyes of Yehovah is the death of His set-apart ones. (Ps 72:14)
116:16 O Yehovah, truly I am Your servant now; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bonds. (Is 42:1-4)
116:17 I will sacrifice to You the sacrifice of thanks and will call on the name of Yehovah.
116:18 I will pay my vows to Yehovah now in the presence of all His people,
116:19 in the courts of the house of Yehovah; in your midst, O Yerushalayim. HalleluYah! (Luk 13:33)
117:1 Praise (Aleph/Tav) Yehovah, all nations; praise Him, all peoples;
117:2 for His mercy is mighty over us, and the truth of Yehovah is forever. HalleluYah!
118:1 Give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good; because His mercy endures forever.
118:2 Let Yisrael say now that His mercy endures forever.
118:3 Let the house of Aaron say now that His mercy endures forever.
118:4 Let those who fear Yehovah say now that His mercy endures forever.
118:5 I called Yehovah from the distress; He answered me in the large place of Yehovah.
118:6 Yehovah is my helper; and I will not fear, what shall man do to me?
118:7 Yehovah is for me among those who help me, and I shall look on those who hate me.
118:8 It is better to take refuge in Yehovah than to trust in man;
118:9 it is better to trust in Yehovah than to trust in nobles.
118:10 All the nations surround me; but surely I will destroy them in the name of Yehovah.
118:11 They surround me; yea, they surround me; I surely will cut them off in the name of Yehovah.
118:12 They surround me like bees; they are quenched like the fire of thorns; for surely I will cut them off in the name of Yehovah.
118:13 Pushing, you pushed me to fall; but Yehovah helped me.
118:14 Yehovah is my strength and my song; and He is to me salvation.
118:15 The voice of rejoicing and shouting and Y’shua* in the tents of the righteous; Yehovah ‘s right hand works mightily.
118:16 The right hand of Yehovah is exalted; the right hand of Yehovah acts mightily.
118:17 I shall not die, but I shall live and declare the works of Yah.
118:18 Surely, Yah has chastened me, but He has not given me to death.
118:19 Open the gates of righteousness to me, I will enter into them; I will thank Yehovah.
118:20 This is the gate of Yehovah, the righteous shall enter into it.
118:21 I will thank You, for You answered me, and You are to me salvation.
118:22 The Stone which the builders rejected has become the Head of the Corner. (Math 21:42)
118:23 This is from Yehovah, it is marvelous in our eyes.170
118:24 This is the day Yehovah has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
118:25 O Yehovah, I beg You, save now; I beg You, O Yehovah, cause us to prosper now.
118:26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yehovah; we blessed you from the house of Yehovah. (Math 21:9)
118:27 El Yehovah, and He gives light to us. Tie the sacrifice with cords, to the horns of the altar. (Ps 40:6-8)
118:28 You are my El, and I will thank You; My Elohim, I will exalt You!
118:29 O give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
ALEPH:171
119:1 Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Torah of Yehovah.
119:2 Blessed are those keeping His Testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart. (Ps 1:1-2)
119:3 They also do not work evil; they walk in His way.
119:4 You have commanded to carefully keep Your Precepts.
119:5 O that my ways were fixed to keep Your Statutes!
119:6 Then I shall not be ashamed, when I look to all Your Commandments.
119:7 I will thank You with integrity of heart, in my learning the judgments of Your righteousness.
119:8 I will keep Your Statutes; do not forsake me utterly.
BETH:
119:9 By what shall a young man purify his path? To keep it according to Your Word.
119:10 I have sought You with my whole heart; do not let me wander from Your Commandments.
119:11 I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
119:12 Blessed are you, O Yehovah; teach me Your Statutes.
119:13 I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth with my lips;
119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your Testimonies as over all riches.
119:15 I will meditate in Your Precepts and I will regard Your paths.
119:16 I will delight myself in Your Statutes. I will not forget Your Word.
GIMEL:
119:17 Deal bountifully with Your servant that I may live, and I will keep Your Word.
119:18 Open my eyes and I will see wonderful things from Your Torah.
119:19 I am a sojourner in the earth; hide not Your Commandments from me.
119:20 My soul is crushed for the longing to Your judgments in every season.
119:21 You have rebuked the proud, the cursed ones who wander from Your Commandments.(Pr 28:9, Math 7:23)
119:22 Roll from me reproach and scorn; for I have kept Your Testimonies.
119:23 Princes also sat, speaking against me; but Your servant meditates on Your laws.
119:24 Your Testimonies also are my delight and are men of my counsel.
DALETH:
119:25 My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to Your Word.
119:26 I have declared my ways, and You answered me; teach me Your Statutes.
119:27 Make me understand the way of Your Precepts, and I will meditate on Your wonders.
119:28 My soul drops with grief; Lift me up according to Your Word.
119:29 Remove from me the way of lying, and give me grace with Your Torah.
119:30 I have chosen the way of truth; I have held Your judgments level;
119:31 I have clung to Your Testimonies; O Yehovah, do not shame me.
119:32 I will run the way of Your Commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart.
HEY:
119:33 O Yehovah, teach me the way of Your Statutes, and I will keep it to the end.
119:34 Make me understand and I will keep Your Torah, and observe it with the whole heart.
119:35 Make me walk in the way of Your Commandments, for in it I delight.
119:36 Bow my heart to Your Testimonies, and not to unjust gain.
119:37 Turn my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.
119:38 Make Your Word sure to Your servant, who is devoted to Your fear.
119:39 Turn away my shame which I fear; for Your judgments are good.
119:40 Look, I have longed for Your Precepts; grant to me life in Your righteousness.
VAV:
119:41 By Your Word, according to Your salvation, let Your mercies come to me, O Yehovah.
119:42 And I will answer the one reproving me a word; for I trust in Your Word.
119:43 And do not take the Word of Truth completely out of my mouth; for I have hoped in Your judgments.
119:44 And I shall keep Your Torah continually, forever and ever.
119:45 And I will walk in the wilderness, for I seek Your Commandments.
119:46 And I will speak of Your Testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
119:47 And I will delight myself in Your Commandments, which I have loved.
119:48 And I will lift up my hands to Your Commandments that I love; and I will meditate on Your Statutes.172
ZAYIN:
119:49 Remember the Word to Your servant, on which You made me hope.
119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction; for Your Word has given me life.
119:51 The proud have scorned me utterly; I have not veered from Your Torah.
119:52 I remembered Your judgments from of old, O Yehovah, and I take comfort.
119:53 Hot zeal has seized me because of the wicked forsaking Your Torah.
119:54 Your Statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimages.
119:55 O Yehovah, I have remembered Your name in the night and have kept Your Torah.
119:56 This was done to me, because I kept Your Commandments.
CHETH:
119:57 Yehovah is my portion; I have said to keep Your Words.
119:58 I entreated Your face with all my heart; be merciful to me according to Your Word.
119:59 I thought on my ways and turned my feet to Your Testimonies.
119:60 I hurried and delayed not to keep Your Commandments.
119:61 The cords of the wicked encircle me; I have not forgotten Your Torah.
119:62 At halves of the night I will rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.
119:63 I am a companion of all who fear You; yea, of those who keep Your Precepts.

119:68 You are good and do good; teach me Your Statutes.
119:69 The proud have forged a lie against me; I will keep Your Precepts with all my heart.
119:70 Their heart is like fat, without feeling; I delight in Your Torah.
119:71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, to learn Your Statutes.
119:72 The Torah of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
YOD:
119:73 Your hands made me and fixed me; give me understanding that I may learn Your Commandments.
119:74 The ones fearing You will see me and rejoice; for I hoped in Your Word.
119:75 I know, O Yehovah, Your judgments are right; and in faithfulness You afflicted me.
119:76 Please let Your mercy be for my comfort, according to Your Word to Your servant.
119:77 Let Your mercies come to me that I may live; for Your Torah is my delight.
119:78 Let the proud be ashamed, for with lies they perverted me; I will meditate on Your Precepts.174

119:80 Let my heart be blameless in Your Statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
KAPH:
119:81 My soul is being consumed for Your salvation; I hope in Your Word.
119:82 My eyes faint for Your Word, saying, When will You comfort me?
119:83 For I am like a wineskin in the smoke; I do not forget Your Statutes.
119:84 As what are the days of Your servant? When will You execute judgment on my persecutors?
119:85 The proud have dug pits for me which are not according to Your Torah. (Yer 18:20, 22)
119:86 All Your Commandments are faithful; they persecute me with lying; help me!
119:87 In a little while they had almost finished me on earth; but I did not forsake Your Precepts.
119:88 Give me life according to Your mercy, and I will keep the Testimonies of Your mouth.
LAMED:
119:89 Your Word is settled in Heaven forever, O Yehovah.
119:90 Your faithfulness endures to generation and generation; You founded the earth, and it stands.
119:91 They stand by Your judgments to this day, for all are Your servants.
119:92 Unless Your Torah was my delight, then I had perished in my grief.
119:93 I will never forget Your Precepts; for with them You gave me life.
119:94 I am Yours save me; for I have sought Your Precepts.
119:95 The wicked waited for me, to destroy me; I will consider Your Testimonies.
119:96 I have seen an end to all perfection; Your commandment is exceedingly broad.175
MEM:
119:97 Oh how I love Your Torah! It is my meditation all the day.
119:98 You make me wiser than my enemies by Your Commandments; for they are forever mine.

119:100 I understand more than the ancients, for I keep Your Precepts.
119:101 I have kept my feet from every evil way, to keep Your Word.
119:102 I turned not from Your judgments; for You have taught me.
119:103 How sweet are Your Words to my palate! More than honey to my mouth!
119:104 By Your Precepts I know; so then I hate every false way.176
NUN:
119:105 Your Word is a menorah to my feet and a light to my path.177
119:106 I have sworn and I rise to it, to keep Your righteous judgments.
119:107 I am greatly afflicted; O Yehovah, give me life according to Your Word.
119:108 Please, O Yehovah, accept the free offering of my mouth, and teach me Your judgments.
119:109 My life is in my hand continually, yet I do not forget Your Torah.
119:110 The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet I do not wander from Your Precepts.

119:115 Depart from me, O evildoers, for I will keep my Elohim's Command-ments.179
119:116 Uphold me by Your Word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
119:117 Hold me up and I will be saved; and I will always look to Your Statutes.
119:118 You have trampled all who go astray from Your Statutes, for their deceit is falsehood.
119:119 As dross You have made all the wicked of the earth to cease; so I love Your Testimonies.
119:120 My flesh has shivered because of Your fear; and I have feared Your judgments.
AYIN:
119:121 I have done judgment and righteousness; leave me not to those who oppress me.

119:126 It is time for Yehovah to work; they have broken Your Torah.180
119:127 Therefore, I have loved Your Commandments, more than gold, even fine gold.
119:128 Therefore, I count wholly right all the Precepts; I have hated every false way.181
PAY:
119:129 Your Testimonies are wonderful; so my soul keeps them.
119:130 The entering of Your Word gives light, giving instruction to the simple.
119:131 I opened my mouth and panted; for I longed for Your Commandments.
119:132 Turn to me and give me your grace, as is the way to those who love Your name.
119:133 Fix my steps in Your Word; and let no evil rule over me.
119:134 Redeem me from the oppression of man; and I will keep Your Precepts.

119:136 Rivers of waters run down my eyes, for they do not keep Your Torah.182
TZADDI:
119:137 O Yehovah, You are righteous, and Your judgments upright.
119:138 You have enjoined Your Testimonies as righteous and very faithful.
119:139 My zeal has eaten me up, for my enemies have forgotten Your Word.
119:140 Your Word is pure and Your servant loves it.

119:146 I cried to You; save me, and I will keep Your Testimonies.
119:147 I go before the dawn of day and cry; I hope in Your Word.
119:148 My eyes go before the night watches, to meditate on Your Word.
119:149 Hear my voice by Your mercy, O Yehovah; give me life by Your judgment.
119:150 The pursuers of mischief draw near; they are far from Your Torah.

119:152 Of old I have known from Your Testimonies, for You have founded them forever.
RESH:
119:153 Look on my affliction and deliver me; for I do not forget Your Torah.

119:155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek Your Statutes.183
119:156 O Yehovah, Your tender mercies are great; give me life according to Your judgments.
119:157 My persecutors and enemies are many; I do not turn from Your Testimonies.
119:158 I saw the traitors and was grieved, because they did not keep Your Word.184
119:159 See how I love Your Precepts, O Yehovah; give me life according to Your mercy.
119:160 The sum of Your Word is true; every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
SHIN:
119:161 Princes have persecuted me without cause; but my heart has feared at Your Word.
119:162 I rejoice at Your Word, as one who finds great spoil.
119:163 I hate and despise lying; but I love Your Torah.

119:168 I have kept Your Commandments and Your Testimonies, for all my ways are before You.
TAV:
119:169 Let my cry come near You, O Yehovah; give me wisdom according to Your Word.
119:170 Let my prayer come before You; deliver me according to Your Word.
119:171 My lips shall pour forth praise when You have taught me Your Statutes.
119:172 My tongue shall answer Your Word, for all Your Commandments are righteousness.186
119:173 Let Your hand help me; for I have chosen Your Precepts.
119:174 I have longed for Your salvation (Y’shua*), O Yehovah; and Your Torah is my delight.

119:176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek for Your servant; for I do not forget Your Commandments.
120:1 A Song of Ascents.
In my distress I cried to Yehovah, and He answered me.
120:2 O Yehovah, deliver my soul from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
120:3 What shall be given to you, or what shall one add to you, O deceitful tongue? (Ps 31:18)
120:4 Sharp arrows of the mighty with coals of broom!
120:5 Woe is me that I sojourned in Meshech; I dwell with the tents of Kedar!
120:6 My soul has long dwelt to itself, with him who hates shalom.
120:7 I am for shalom; but when I speak, they are for war.
121:1 A Song of Ascents.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills; from where shall my help come?
121:2 My help comes from Yehovah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth.
121:3 He will not give your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.
121:4 Look, He who keeps Yisrael will not slumber nor sleep.
121:5 Yehovah is the One keeping you; Yehovah is your shade on your right hand.
121:6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night;
121:7 Yehovah shall keep you from all evil; He shall keep your soul.
121:8 Yehovah shall keep your going out, and your coming in, from now on and till forever.
122:1 A Song of Ascents; of David.
I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of Yehovah.
122:2 Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Yerushalayim.
122:3 Yerushalayim is built like a city that is joined to itself, together.187
122:4 There the tribes go up, the tribes of Yah; to the testimony of Yisrael; to give thanks to the name of Yehovah.188
122:5 For the thrones of judgment were established there, the thrones of the house of David.
122:6 Pray for the shalom of Yerushalayim; those who love you shall prosper.189
122:7 Shalom be within your walls; prosperity in your towers.
122:8 Because of my brothers and my companions, I will now say, Shalom be in you.
122:9 Because of the house of Yehovah, our Elohim, I will seek your good.
123:1 A Song of Ascents.
I will lift up my eyes on You, O Dweller in Heaven.
123:2 Look, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters; as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait on Yehovah our Elohim, until He shows us His grace .
123:3 Give us your grace, O Yehovah; Give us your grace! For we are exceedingly filled with scorn.
123:4 Our soul is exceedingly filled for itself with the contempt of those who are at ease, the scorn of the proud.
124:1 A Song of Ascents, of David.
Except that it was Yehovah who was for us, O may Yisrael say;
124:2 except that it was Yehovah who was for us when men rose up against us,
124:3 then they would have swallowed us alive, when their anger glowed against us.
124:4 Then the waters would have flowed over us; the torrent would have covered our soul;
124:5 then the raging waters would have passed over our soul.
124:6 Blessed be Yehovah, who did not give us as a prey to their teeth.
124:7 Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowlers' snare; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.
124:8 Our help is in the name of Yehovah, the Maker of the heavens and earth.
125:1 A Song of Ascents.
They who trust in Yehovah shall be like Mount Zion; it is not shaken; it remains forever.
125:2 The mountains are all around Yerushalayim; and Yehovah is all around His people, from this time and forever.190
125:3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; that the righteous not put forth their hands to evil.
125:4 Do good, O Yehovah, to the good, and to the upright in their heart.
125:5 And those who turn aside to their devious ways, Yehovah shall lead them forth with doers of evil. Shalom be upon Yisrael.
126:1 A Song of Ascents.
When Yehovah turned back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.
126:2 Then our mouth was full of laughter, and our tongue with joyful shouting; then they said among the nations, Yehovah will work great things with these.
126:3 Yehovah did great things to work with us; we are glad.
126:4 Turn again our captivity, O Yehovah, like the south streams.
126:5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. ( Ps 30:5)
126:6 Surely he who walks and weeps, bearing a trail of seed, shall come again with joyful shouting, bearing his sheaves. (Gal 6:9)
127:1 A Song of Ascents, for Solomon.
If Yehovah does not build the house, they who build it labor in vain; if Yehovah does not keep the city, the one keeping it stays awake in vain.
127:2 It is in vain for you to rise early, sit up late, to eat the bread of toils; for so He gives His beloved sleep.
127:3 Look! Children are the inheritance of Yehovah; the fruit of the womb is His reward.
127:4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of the young.
127:5 Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; they shall not be ashamed, for they shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
128:1 A Song of Ascents.
Blessed is everyone who fears Yehovah, who walks in His ways.
128:2 For you shall surely eat the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and all is good to you.
128:3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine by the sides of your house; your sons shall be like olive plants around your table.191
128:4 Look! So shall the man be blessed who fears Yehovah.
128:5 Yehovah shall bless you out of Zion; and you shall see the good of Yerushalayim all the days of your life.
128:6 Yes, you shall see the sons of your sons.192 Shalom be upon Yisrael!
129:1 A Song of Ascents.
Many times they have distressed me from my youth, let Yisrael now say;
129:2 they have distressed me from my youth many times, yet they have not prevailed over me.
129:3 The plowers plowed on my back; they made their furrows long.
129:4 Yehovah is righteous; He cuts the cords of the wicked.
129:5 Let them be ashamed and turned back, all those who hate Zion;
129:6 let them be like the grass on the rooftops, which dries up before it draws out;
129:7 with which the reaper does not fill his hand, nor the binder of sheaves his bosom.
129:8 And those who pass by have never said, The blessing of Yehovah be on you; we bless you in the name of Yehovah.193
130:1 A Song of Ascents.
Out of the depths I have called You, O Yehovah.
130:2 Yehovah, hear my voice, and let Your ears attend to the voice of my prayers.
130:3 If You will keep iniquities, O Yah, who shall stand?
130:4 But forgiveness is with You that You may be feared.
130:5 I wait for Yehovah; my soul waits, and I hope for His Word.
130:6 My soul waits for Yehovah more than those watching for the morning.
130:7 Let Yisrael hope to Yehovah, for with Yehovah is mercy, and with Him is abundant redemption;
130:8 and He shall redeem Yisrael from all his iniquities.
131:1 A Song of Ascents. Of David.
O Yehovah, my heart is not proud, nor have my eyes been lofty; nor have I walked in great things, nor in things too wondrous for me.
131:2 Surely I have set myself and have quieted my soul, like one weaned by its mother; my soul on me is like one weaned.
131:3 Let Yisrael hope in Yehovah, from now and till forever.
132:1 A Song of Ascents.
O Yehovah, remember David with all his afflictions;
132:2 how he swore to Yehovah; he vowed to the Mighty One of Ya'akov,
132:3 If I will go into the tent of my house, if I go up on the couch of my bed,
132:4 if I give sleep to my eyes, slumber to my eyelids,
132:5 until I search out a place for Yehovah, dwellings for the Mighty One of Ya'akov.
132:6 Lo, we have heard of it at Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the forest;
132:7 we will enter into His tabernacles; we will worship at His footstool.
132:8 Arise, O Yehovah, into Your rest; You, and the ark of Your strength.
132:9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your set-apart ones shout for joy.
132:10 For Your servant David's sake do not turn away the face of Your anointed.
132:11 Yehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; I will set one of the fruit of your body on the throne for you.
132:12 If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I will teach them, their sons shall also sit on the throne for You forever.
132:13 Yehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place.
132:14 This is My rest till forever; I will dwell here; I have desired it.194
132:15 Surely, I will bless her poor with provisions; I will satisfy her poor with food.
132:16 And I will clothe her priests; Y’shua* and her set-apart ones shall surely shout.195 (Rev 19:7-9)
132:17 I will make the horn of David to sprout; I have arranged a menorah for My Messiah.
132:18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but His crown shall flourish upon him.
133:1 A Song of Ascents. Of David.
Look! How good and how pleasant it is, for brethren living together, even in unity.
133:2 It is like the precious oil on the head that ran down on the beard, Aaron's beard, going down to the mouth of his garments; (Lev 8:12)
133:3 like the dew of Hermon coming down on the mountains of Zion; for there Yehovah commanded the blessing: life forevermore.196
134:1 A Song of Ascents.
Look, bless Yehovah, all servants of Yehovah; who stand in the house of Yehovah at night.
134:2 Lift up your hands in the set apart place, and bless Yehovah.
134:3 May Yehovah bless you out of Zion, He who made the heavens and earth.
135:1 HalleluYah! Praise the name of Yehovah; give praise, servants of Yehovah;
135:2 those who stand in the house of Yehovah in the courts of the house of our Elohim;
135:3 praise Yehovah! For Yehovah is good! Sing praises to His name, for it is delightful.
135:4 For Yah has chosen Ya'akov to Himself, Yisrael for His special treasure.
135:5 For I know that Yehovah is great, and our Adonai is above all Elohim.
135:6 Every thing which Yehovah was pleased to do, He did, in the heavens and in the earth, and in the seas and all deep places.
135:7 He causes the mists to rise from the end of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings the wind out of His storehouses;
135:8 He who struck the first-born of Mitsrayim, from man to animal;
135:9 who sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Mitsrayim, on Pharaoh and on all his servants;
135:10 who struck great nations, and killed mighty kings;
135:11 Sihon, king Of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.
135:12 And He gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to His people Yisrael.
135:13 O Yehovah, Your name endures forever; O Yehovah, Your memorial is from generation to generation.197 (Ex 3:15)
135:14 For Yehovah will judge His people; and He will have pity on His servants.
135:15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands;
135:16 they have mouths, but they say nothing; they have eyes, but they see nothing;
135:17 they have ears, but they hear nothing; yea, there is no breath in their mouths.
135:18 Those who make them are like them, everyone who is trusting in them.198

135:20 Bless (Aleph/Tav) Yehovah, O house of Levi; you who fear Yehovah, bless (Aleph/Tav) Yehovah.
135:21 Blessed be Yehovah out of Zion, He who dwells at Yerushalayim. HalleluYah!
136:1 O give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
136:2 O give thanks to the Elohim of The Elohim; for His mercy endures forever.
136:3 O give thanks to the Master of Masters; for His mercy endures forever;
136:4 All great wonders come from Him; for His mercy endures forever;
136:5 to Him who by wisdom made the heavens; for His mercy endures forever;
136:6 to Him who spread the earth on the waters; for His mercy endures forever;
136:7 to Him who made great lights; for His mercy endures forever;
136:8 the sun to rule by day; for His mercy endures forever;
136:9 the moon and the stars to rule by night; for His mercy endures forever;
136:10 to Him who struck Mitsrayim in her first-born; for His mercy endures forever;
136:11 and brought Yisrael out from among them; for His mercy endures forever;
136:12 with a strong hand and a stretched out arm; for His mercy endures forever;
136:13 to Him who divided the Sea of Reeds into parts; for His mercy endures forever;

136:19 Sihon, king of the Amorites; for His mercy endures forever;
136:20 and Og, the king of Bashan; for His mercy endures forever;
136:21 and gave their land for an inheritance; for His mercy endures forever;
136:22 an inheritance to His servant Yisrael; for His mercy endures forever;
136:23 who remembered us in our low estate; for His mercy endures forever;
136:24 and has rescued us from our enemies; for His mercy endures forever;
136:25 who gives food to all flesh; for His mercy endures forever.
136:26 O give thanks to the Elohim of Heaven; for His mercy endures forever.
137:1 There by the rivers of Babylon we sat down; also we wept when we remembered Zion.
137:2 We hung our lyres on the willows in its midst.
137:3 For there our captors asked us the words of a song; yea, our plunderers asked joy, saying, Sing to us a song of Zion.
137:4 How shall we sing the song of Yehovah on a foreign soil?
137:5 If I forget you, O Yerushalayim, let my right hand forget;
137:6 let my tongue cleave to my palate, if I do not remember you, if I do not bring up Yerushalayim above the head of my joy.200
137:7 O Yehovah, remember for the sons of Edom the day of Yerushalayim; who said, Make it bare! Make it bare even to its foundation!
137:8 O daughter of Babylon, O destroyed one! Blessed is he who shall repay to you your recompense which you dealt to us.
137:9 Blessed is he who seizes your little ones and dashes them against the stone!201
138:1 A Psalm of David.
I will thank You with my whole heart; I will sing praise to You before the Elohim;
138:2 I will worship toward Your set apart sanctuary, and give thanks to Your name for Your mercy, and for Your truth; for You have magnified Your Word above all Your name.
138:3 You answered me in the day that I called out; You made me bold in my soul with strength.
138:4 All the kings of the earth shall thank You, O Yehovah, because they have heard the Words of Your mouth.
138:5 Yes, they shall sing in the ways of Yehovah; for the glory of Yehovah is great.
138:6 Though Yehovah is exalted, yet He looks upon the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar.
138:7 If I walk in the midst of distress, You give me life; You send out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand delivers me.
138:8 Yehovah will perfect His work in me; O Yehovah, Your mercy endures forever; You will not forsake the works of Your hands.
139:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, You have searched me and known me.
139:2 You know my sitting down, and my rising up; You understand my thought from afar off.
139:3 You sift my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
139:4 For not a word is on my tongue, but, lo, O Yehovah, You know it all.
139:5 You have closed me in behind, and in front, and Your hand is laid on me.
139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is set on high; I am not able to reach it.
139:7 Where shall I go from Your ruach? Or where shall I flee from Your face?
139:8 If I go up to Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, look, You are there!
139:9 If I take the wings of the morning, dwelling in the uttermost part of the sea,
139:10 even there Your hand shall lead me; and Your right hand shall seize me.
139:11 If I say: Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light around me.
139:12 Even the darkness will not be dark from You, but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light.
139:13 For You have possessed my inward parts; You wove me in the womb of my mother.
139:14 I will thank You, for with fearful things I am wonderful; Your works are marvelous, and my soul knows it very well.
139:15 My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret; when I was woven in the depths of the earth.
139:16 Your eyes saw my embryo; and in Your scroll all my members were written the days they were formed, and not one was yet among them.202
139:17 And how precious are Your thoughts to me, O El! How great is the sum of them!
139:18 If I should count them, they are more than the sand; when I awake I am still with You.
139:19 Surely You will slay the wicked, O Elohim; and men of blood will turn away from me.
139:20 Who will maliciously speak against You? Your enemies are lifted up with vanity.
139:21 O Yehovah, do not I hate those hating You? And am I not detesting those rising against You?
139:22 I hate them with a perfect hatred; they have become my enemies.203
139:23 Search me, O El, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts;
139:24 and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
140:1 To the chief musician. A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, deliver me from the evil man; keep me from the violent man204,
140:2 who devises evil things in the heart; all the day they stir up wars.
140:3 They sharpen their tongues like a snake; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
140:4 O Yehovah, keep me from the hands of the wicked; keep me from the violent man who plots to trip up my steps.
140:5 The proud have hidden cords and set a trap for me; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set snares for me. Selah.
140:6 I said to Yehovah, You are my El; O Yehovah, give ear to the voice of my prayers.
140:7 O Yehovah Adonai, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of armor.
140:8 O Yehovah, do not grant the desires of the wicked; do not promote his plan, lest they be exalted. Selah.
140:9 As for the leaders of those around me, let the evil of their own lips cover them.
140:10 Let burning coals fall on them; let them fall on coals of fire; make them fall into deep pits so that they do not rise again.
140:11 Do not let a man of tongue be established in the earth; evil shall hunt the violent man, thrust upon thrust.
140:12 I know that Yehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, the justice of the poor.
140:13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence.
141:1 A Psalm of David.
O Yehovah, I cry to You; hasten to me; give ear to my voice when I cry to You.
141:2 Let my prayer be established before You as incense; the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.205
141:3 O Yehovah, set a guard to my mouth; keep watch on the door of my lips.
141:4 Do not let my heart turn aside to any evil thing, to practice deeds in wickedness with men who practice wickedness; and do not let me eat of their delicacies.
141:5 Let the righteous strike me; it is a mercy; and he rebuking me, it is oil of the head, let not my head refuse it; for yet my prayer also shall be against their evils.
141:6 Their judges have been dashed against the rock; they shall hear my words for they are pleasant.
141:7 As when one plows and rips the earth, so our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
141:8 But my eyes are on You, O Yehovah, my Adonai; in You I take refuge; do not make my soul naked.
141:9 Keep me from the hands of the trap they laid for me, and from the snares of the workers of evil.
141:10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets at the same time; I even shall pass by.
142:1 An Instruction of David, a Prayer, in his being in the cave.
I cry to Yehovah with my voice; I pray to Yehovah with my voice.
142:2 I pour out my utterance before Him; I declare my distress before Him.
142:3 When my ruach faints within me, then You have known my path; they have hidden a snare for me in the path in which I walk.
142:4 I look to the right hand and see, and no one recognizes me; every escape is hidden from me; no one cares for my soul.
142:5 I cried to You, O Yehovah; I said, You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
142:6 Attend to my cry; for I am brought very low; deliver me from those who pursue me; for they are stronger than I.
142:7 Bring my soul out from prison to give thanks to Your name; the righteous shall gather around me; for You shall reward me.
143:1 A Psalm of David.
Hear my prayer, O Yehovah give ear to my supplications; answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness;
143:2 and do not enter into judgment with Your servant; for not anyone living is just in Your sight.
143:3 For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has beaten my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness like those who died long ago.206
143:4 And my ruach within me has faint-ed; my heart within me is stunned.
143:5 I remember the days of old. I meditate on all Your works; I think upon the work of Your hands.
143:6 I spread out my hands to You; my soul is to You like a weary land. Selah.
143:7 O Yehovah, answer me quickly; my ruach is spent; do not hide Your face from me lest I be like the ones who go down to the Pit.
143:8 Cause me to hear Your mercy in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.
143:9 O Yehovah, deliver me from my enemies; by You I am covered.
143:10 Teach me to do Your will; for You are my Elohim; Your ruach is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
143:11 O Yehovah, because of Your name, make me live; in Your righteousness, bring my soul out of distress.
143:12 And in Your mercy cut off my enemies; and destroy all those who distress my soul; for I am Your servant.
144:1 A Psalm of David.
Blessed be Yehovah my Rock, who teaches my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
144:2 He is my mercy and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield, and in Him I take refuge, in Him who subdues my people under me.
144:3 O Yehovah, what is man that You know him; the son of man, that you esteem him? (Ps 8:4)
144:4 Man is like to vanity; his days are like a shadow that passes.
144:5 Bow down Your heavens, O Yehovah; and come down; touch the mountains and they shall smoke.
144:6 Flash out lightning and scatter them; send out Your arrows and confound them.
144:7 Send Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of a foreigner's sons,
144:8 whose mouths have spoken vanity; and their right hand is a right hand of lies.
144:9 I will sing a new song to You, O Elohim; I will sing praises to You on a harp of ten strings
144:10 You who gives salvation to kings, who delivers His servant David from the evil sword.
144:11 Rescue me and deliver me from the foreigner's sons, those whose mouths have spoken vanity; and their right hand is a right hand of lies;
144:12 so that our sons may be like plants grown up in their youth; and our daughters like corner-stones, hewn like a palace building;
144:13 and our storehouses may be full, furnishing kind to kind; our flocks may breed thousands and ten thousands outside,
144:14 our oxen laden; there is no break and no going out, and no crying in our plazas.
144:15 Blessed are the peoples that are so; blessed are the peoples whose Elohim is Yehovah!
145:1 A Psalm of Praise, of David.
I will exalt you, my Elohim, O King; and bless Your name forever and ever.
145:2 I will bless You every day; and I will praise Your name forever and ever.
145:3 Yehovah is great and to be greatly praised; and to His greatness there is no finding out.
145:4 Generation to generation shall praise Your works; and shall declare Your mighty acts.
145:5 I will muse on the glorious honor of Your majesty, and the things of Your wonderful works.
145:6 And they shall speak of the might of Your awesome works, and I will declare Your greatness.
145:7 They shall express the memory of Your great goodness, and they shall sing of Your righteousness.
145:8 Yehovah is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great mercy; (Ps 103:8, Ps 86:15)
145:9 Yehovah is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.
145:10 All Your works shall thank You, O Yehovah; and Your set-apart ones shall bless You.
145:11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your might;
145:12 to make Your might known to the sons of men; yea, the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
145:13 Your kingdom is a kingdom to all eternities; and Your rule in all generations.
145:14 Yehovah upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.
145:15 The eyes of all hope to You; and You give them their food in due time.
145:16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
145:17 Yehovah is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His works.
145:18 Yehovah is near to all who call on Him, to all those who call on Him in truth.
145:19 He will fulfill the desire of the ones who fear Him; and He will hear their cry and save them.
145:20 Yehovah watches over all who love Him; but He destroys all the wicked.
145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of Yehovah; and all flesh shall bless His set apart name forever and ever.
146:1 HalleluYah; praise (Aleph/Tav) Yehovah, O my soul.
146:2 While I live I will praise Yehovah; I will sing praises to my Elohim while I have being.
146:3 Put not your trust in nobles, in a son of man, for there is no salvation in him.
146:4 His breath will go out, he returns to the earth; his thoughts perish in that day. (Gen 3:19, Eccl 9:5)
146:5 Blessed is he who has the Elohim of Ya'akov in his help; his hope is on Yehovah his Elohim,
146:6 who made the heavens and the earth, the seas and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
146:7 who executes judgment for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry; Yehovah sets free the prisoners;
146:8 Yehovah opens the eyes of the blind; Yehovah raises those bowed down; Yehovah loves the righteous;
146:9 Yehovah guards the strangers; He relieves the orphan and the widow, but He warps the way of the wicked.
146:10 Yehovah shall reign forever, O Zion, your Elohim from generation and generation. HalleluYah.
147:1 HalleluYah; for it is good to sing praise to our Elohim; because praise is delightful and becoming.
147:2 Yehovah builds up Yerushalayim; He gathers the outcasts of Yisrael. (Is 56:8)
147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their sorrows.
147:4 He appoints the number of the stars; He calls to them all by names.207
147:5 Our Master is great and of great might; there is no limit to His understanding.
147:6 Yehovah relieves the meek; He throws the wicked down to the ground.
147:7 Sing to Yehovah with thanksgiving; sing praise on the lyre to our Elohim,
147:8 who covers the heavens with clouds; who prepares rain for the earth; who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
147:9 He gives the animals their food, to the young ravens that cry.
147:10 He takes no delight in the strength of the horse, nor any pleasure in the legs of a man.
147:11 Yehovah takes pleasure in those who fear Him, those who hope in His mercy.
147:12 Shout Praise O, Yerushalayim Praise Yehovah,; praise your Elohim, O Zion.
147:13 For He has made strong the bars of your gates; He has blessed your sons within you.
147:14 He sets up shalom in your border, He satisfies you with the fat of the wheat.
147:15 He sends His command out on the earth; His Word runs very swiftly;
147:16 He gives snow like wool; He scatters the white frost like ashes;
147:17 He casts out His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold?
147:18 He sends out His Word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow, and the waters flow.
147:19 He declares His Word to Ya'akov, His statutes and His judgments to Yisrael.
147:20 He has not done so with any other nation; and they have not known His judgments. HalleluYah!
148:1 HalleluYah! Praise (Aleph/Tav) Yehovah from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.
148:2 Praise Him, all His messengers; praise Him, all His hosts.
148:3 Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light.
148:4 Praise Him, O heavens of heavens; and O waters that are above the heavens.
148:5 Let them praise the name of Yehovah; for He commanded, and they were created.
148:6 And He established them forever and ever; He gave a decree that they not pass away.
148:7 Let the sea-monsters and all deeps praise Yehovah from the earth,
148:8 fire and hail, snow and smoke, stormy wind fulfilling His Word,
148:9 mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,
148:10 beasts and all livestock, creeping things and birds of the wing,
148:11 kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges of the earth,
148:12 young men and virgins too, old men and youths:
148:13 Let them praise the name of Yehovah; for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heavens.
148:14 He also lifts up the horn of His people, the praise of all His set-apart ones, of the sons of Yisrael, a people near to Him, HalleluYah.208
149:1 HalleluYah! Sing to Yehovah a new song, His praise in the house of assembly of the set-apart ones.
149:2 Let Yisrael rejoice in his Creators;209 let the sons of Zion be joyful in their Kings.
149:3 Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praise to Him with the timbrel and lyre.
149:4 For Yehovah takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the humble in Y’shua*. (Jac 4:6)
149:5 Let the set-apart ones be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds.
149:6 Let the exaltation of El be in their throat, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
149:7 to execute vengeance on the nations, punishment on the peoples;
149:8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron bands;
149:9 to execute on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His set-apart ones. HalleluYah!
150:1 HalleluYah! Praise El in His set apart place; praise Him in the expanse of His might.
150:2 Praise Him in His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
150:3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the harp and lyre.
150:4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with strings and pipes.
150:5 Praise Him on the sounding cymbals; praise Him with the resounding cymbals.
150:6 Let everything that breathes praise Yah. HalleluYah!210
