12:4 Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty one among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Yeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite;
12:5 Eluzai, and Yerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
12:6 Elkanah, and Yesaiah, and Azarael, and Joezer, and Jashobeam the Korhites;
12:7 and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Yeroboam of Gedor.
12:8 And of the Gadites, there were separated to David, to the stronghold in the wilderness, valiant warriors, men of the army for battle, setting shield and spear in order, and their faces as the face of a lion, and as gazelles on the heights for swiftness:
12:9 Ezer the chief, Obadiah, the second; Eliab, the third;
12:10 Mishmannah, the fourth; Yeremiah, the fifth;
12:11 Attai, the sixth; Eliel, the seventh;
12:12 Johanan, the eighth; Elzabad, the ninth;
12:13 Yeremiah, the tenth; Machbanai, the eleventh.
12:14 These were of the sons of Gad, heads of the army. The least was equal to a hundred, and the greatest as a thousand.
12:15 These were they who crossed over the Jordan in the first new moon; and it was full, over all its banks; and put to flight all those of the valleys, to the east and to the west.
12:16 And some of the sons of Benjamin and Yehudah came to the stronghold of David.
12:17 And David went out before them, and answered and said to them, If you have come to me for shalom, to help me, I have a heart to unite with yours. But if to betray me to my foe, there is no violence in my hand; the Elohim of our fathers shall see and reprove.
12:18 And the ruach enwrapped Amasai, the head of the thirty: To you, O David, and with you, O son of Jesse, shalom! Shalom to you, and shalom to your helpers, for your Elohim has helped you. And David received them, and put them among the heads of the band.
12:19 And some from Manasseh fell to David as he came with the Philistines to battle against Saul. And they did not help them, for by counsel the rulers of the Philistines sent them away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul with our heads.
12:20 As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him from Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Yediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, heads of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
12:21 And they helped David against the raiding band, for they all were valiant warriors; and they were commanders in the army;
12:22 for at the time they came daily to David, to help him, until it was a great army, like an army of Elohim.
12:23 And these were the numbers of the heads of those that were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the mouth of Yehovah.
12:24 The sons of Yehudah, bearing shield and spear, were six thousand, eight hundred, armed for war.
12:25 Of the sons of Simeon, mighty ones of valor for the war, seven thousand, one hundred.
12:26 Of the sons of Levi were four thousand, six hundred.
12:27 And Yehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites and with him three thousand, seven hundred;
12:28 and Zadok, a young man mighty in valor; and of the house of his father were twenty two leaders.
12:29 And of the sons of Benjamin, Saul's brothers, were three thousand. For before, the most of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.
12:30 And of the sons of Ephraim were twenty thousand, eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men to the house of their fathers.
12:31 And of the half tribe of Manasseh were eighteen thousand who were designated by name, to come to make David king.
12:32 And of the sons of Yisachar, having understanding of the times, to know what Yisrael should do. Their heads were two hundred, and all their brothers were at their command.
12:33 Of Zebulun, going forth to the army, that could set the battle in array with all kinds of weapons of war, fifty thousand; and keeping rank without a double heart.
12:34 And of Naphtali, a thousand chiefs; and with them with shield and spear were thirty seven thousand.
12:35 And of the Danites arraying the battle were twenty eight thousand, six hundred.
12:36 And of Asher, going out to the army to set in order the battle were forty thousand.
12:37 And from beyond the Jordan: of the Reubenites, and of the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all of the weapons of war for battle were a hundred and twenty thousand.
12:38 All these were men of war, keeping rank; they came to Hebron with a perfect heart, to make David king over all Yisrael. And also all the rest of Yisrael was of one heart, to make David king.
12:39 And they were there with David three days, eating and drinking. For their brothers had prepared for them.
12:40 And also those near to them, to Yisachar, and Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought in bread on donkeys, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen; food of fine flour, fig cakes, and raisin cakes, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep, to great plenty. For joy was in Yisrael.
13:1 And David consulted the chiefs of the thousands and of the hundreds, to every leader.
13:2 And David said to all the house of assembly of Yisrael, If it is good to you, and it has broken forth from Yehovah our Elohim, we shall send to our brothers those remaining in all the lands of Yisrael, and with them the priests and the Levites in the cities of their open lands; and they shall be gathered to us.
13:3 And we shall bring around to us the ark of our Elohim, for we did not seek Him in the days of Saul.
13:4 And all the house of assembly said to do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
13:5 And David gathered all Yisrael, from Shihor of Mitsrayim even to the entering in of Hamath, to bring in the ark of The Elohim from Kirjath-Jearim.
13:6 And David and all Yisrael went up to Baalah, to Kirjath-Jearim of Yehudah, to bring up from there the ark of The Elohim called Yehovah, who dwells among the messengers, where the Name was called on.
13:7 And they made the ark of The Elohim to ride on a new cart from the house of Abinadab. And Uzza and Ahio were leading the cart.
13:8 And David and all Yisrael were playing before The Elohim with all their might, and with songs, and with lyres, and with harps, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
13:9 And when they came to the threshing-floor of Chidon, then Uzza put out his hand to take hold of the ark, for the oxen stumbled.
13:10 And the anger of Yehovah burned against Uzza, and He struck him, because he had put out his hand on the ark; and he died there before Elohim.
13:11 And it burned to David, for Yehovah had broken a breach against Uzza; and he called that place, The Breach of Uzza to this day.
13:12 And David feared (Aleph/Tav) The Elohim on that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of The Elohim to me?
13:13 And David did not bring the ark to himself, to the City of David, but carried it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
13:14 And the ark of The Elohim remained with the household of Obed-Edom in his house three new moons. And Yehovah blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had.
14:1 And Hiram the king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and masons, and carpenters, to build a house for him.
14:2 And David saw that Yehovah had established him king over Yisrael, for his kingdom was exalted to a height, for the sake of His people Yisrael.
14:3 And David again took wives in Yerushalayim. And David again fathered sons and daughters.
14:4 And these were the names of the children who were to him in Yerushalayim: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
14:5 and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
14:6 and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
14:7 and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
14:8 And the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Yisrael. And all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard, and went out before them.
14:9 And the Philistines came and made a raid in the Valley of the Giants.
14:10 And David asked of Elohim, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines; and, Have You given them into my hand? And Yehovah said to him, Go up, and I will give them into your hand.
14:11 And they went up to Baal-Perzim, and David struck them there. And David said, The Elohim has broken my enemies by my hand, like the breaking of the waters; so they called the name of that place The Breach of Baal.
14:12 And they forsook their gods there. And David commanded, and they were burned with fire.
14:13 And yet again the Philistines raided in the valley.
14:14 And David again inquired of Elohim. And The Elohim spoke to him, You shall not go up after them; turn away from them and come to them across from the weeping trees.
14:15 And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the weeping trees, then you shall go out in the battle; for Elohim has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.
14:16 And David did as The Elohim commanded him. And they struck the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gezer.
14:17 And the name of David went out into all the lands; and Yehovah put the dread of him on all the nations.
15:1 And he built houses for himself in the City of David, and prepared a place for the ark of The Elohim, and pitched a tent for it.
15:2 Then David said, None should bear the ark of The Elohim except the Levites, for Yehovah had chosen them to bear the ark of The Elohim, and to serve Him forever.
15:3 And David gathered all Yisrael to Yerushalayim, to bring up the ark of Yehovah to its place that he had prepared for it.
15:4 And David gathered the sons of Aaron and the Levites.
15:5 Of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers, a hundred and twenty.
15:6 Of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers, two hundred and twenty.
15:7 Of the sons of Gershom: Yoel the chief, and his brothers, a hundred and thirty.
15:8 Of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers, two hundred.
15:9 Of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers, eighty.
15:10 Of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers, a hundred and twelve.
15:11 And David called to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites, to Uriel, Asaiah, and Yoel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
15:12 and said to them, You are the heads of your fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brothers, and you shall bring up the ark of Yehovah, the Elohim of Yisrael, to the place I have prepared for it.
15:13 Because you did not do so at the first, Yehovah our Elohim broke in against us, for we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.
15:14 And the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yehovah the Elohim of Yisrael.
15:15 And the sons of the Levites carried the ark of The Elohim, as Mosheh commanded, according to the Word of Yehovah, by staves above on the shoulders.
15:16 And David commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and sounding cymbals, to lift up the voice for joy.
15:17 And the Levites appointed Heman the son of Yoel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari, their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah.
15:18 And with them were their brothers of the second rank, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Yehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Yeiel, the gatekeepers.
15:19 And the singers were Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, to sound with cymbals of bronze;
15:20 and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Yehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with harps set to Alamoth;
15:21 and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Yeiel, and Azaziah with lyres on the octave, to oversee.
15:22 And Chenaniah the chief of the Levites led in the song, instructing in the song, because he was skillful.
15:23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.
15:24 And Shebaniah, and Yehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests were blowing with the trumpets before the ark of The Elohim. And Obed-Edom and Jehiah were gatekeepers for the ark.
15:25 And it was David, and the elders of Yisrael, and the commanders of the thousands, who were going to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yehovah from the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
15:26 And it happened, as The Elohim helped the Levites carrying the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
15:27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah, the master of the song with the singers. David also had an ephod of linen on him.
15:28 And all Yisrael was bringing up the ark of the covenant of Yehovah with shouting, and with the sound of a horn, and with trumpets, and cymbals, sounding aloud with lyres and harps.
15:29 And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of Yehovah came to the City of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window and saw King David dancing and laughing. And she despised him in her heart.
16:1 And they brought in the ark of The Elohim, and set it down in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it. And they offered burnt offerings and shalom offerings before The Elohim.
16:2 And when David finished offering the burnt offering and the shalom offering, and he blessed the people in the name of Yehovah;
16:3 even he passed out to every one of Yisrael, both man and woman, to each a loaf of bread, a portion, and a raisin cake.
16:4 And he set before the ark of Yehovah ministers from the Levites, even to celebrate and to thank and to give praise to Yehovah the Elohim of Yisrael:
16:5 Asaph the head, and Zechariah his second; Yeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Yehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-Edom, and Yeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres; and Asaph was sounding with the cymbals.
16:6 And Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were continually with trumpets before the ark of the covenant of The Elohim.
16:7 Then on that day David first gave by the hand of Asaph and his brothers to give thanks to Yehovah.
16:8 O give thanks to Yehovah; call on His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.
16:9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; tell of all His marvelous works.
16:10 Glory in His set apart name; let the heart of those seeking Yehovah rejoice.3
16:11 Seek Yehovah and His strength, seek His face continually.
16:12 Remember His wonders that He has done, His signs, and the judgments of His mouth,
16:13 O seed of Yisrael, His servant; O sons of Ya'akov, His chosen ones.
16:14 He is Yehovah our Elohim, His judgments are in all the earth.
16:15 Remember His covenant forever, the Word He gave to a thousand generations,
16:16 which He has cut with Abraham, and His oath to Yitzhak;
16:17 and He established it to Ya'akov for a statute, to Yisrael as a covenant forever,
16:18 saying, I will give you the land of Canaan, the portion of your inheritance; (Gen 13:14-17)
16:19 when you were few in number, even very few, and sojourners in it,
16:20 and they went up and down, from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.
16:21 He has not allowed any to oppress them; yea, for their sake He has reproved kings:
16:22 Touch not My anointed ones, and do My prophets no evil. (Gen 20:7)
16:23 Sing to Yehovah, all the earth, proclaim the news from day to day of His salvation (Y’shua*).
16:24 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all the peoples.
16:25 For great is Yehovah, and greatly to be praised; and He is to be feared above all the Elohim.
16:26 For all the gods of the peoples are worthless; yea, Yehovah has made the heavens.
16:27 Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy are in His place.
16:28 Give to Yehovah, O families of the people, give to Yehovah glory and strength.
16:29 Give to Yehovah the glory of His name;4 bring an offering and come before Him; worship Yehovah in the adornment of set-apartness.
16:30 Tremble before Him, all the earth; yea, the earth is established, it shall not be moved!
16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let them say among nations, Yehovah reigns.
16:32 Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; let the fields rejoice, and all in them.
16:33 Then the trees of the forest will sing out before Yehovah, for He has come to judge the earth.
16:34 O Give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
16:35 And say, O save us, Elohim of our Y’shua*; and gather us, and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your set apart name, that we may glory in Your praise.5
16:36 Blessed be Yehovah, the Elohim of Yisrael, from everlasting even to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen, and gave praise to Yehovah.
16:37 And he left there before the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, for Asaph and for his brothers, to minister before the ark continually to the matter of a day in its day;
16:38 also, Obed-Edom and their brothers, sixty-eight; and Obed-Edom the son of Yeduthun, and Hosah, as gatekeepers;
16:39 and Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, before the tabernacle of Yehovah, in the high place that was in Gibeon;
16:40 to offer the burnt offerings to Yehovah on the altar of the burnt offering continually, to the morning, and to evening, even to all that was written in the Torah of Yehovah, which He commanded Yisrael;
16:41 and with them Heman and Yeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were designated by name, to give thanks to Yehovah, because His mercy endures forever;
16:42 and with them Heman and Yeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those making a sound, and instruments of the song of The Elohim; and the sons of Yeduthun were at the gate.
16:43 And all the people departed, each to his house; and David returned to bless his house.
17:1 And it happened, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Look, I am living in a house of cedars, and the ark of the covenant of Yehovah is under curtains.
17:2 And Nathan said to David, Do all that is in your heart, for The Elohim is with you.
17:3 And it happened on that night, the Word of Elohim came to Nathan, saying,
17:4 Go, and you shall say to My servant David, So says Yehovah, You shall not build a house for Me to dwell in;
17:5 for I have not dwelt in a house from the day that I brought Yisrael up until this day, but I have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
17:6 Wherever I have walked up and down among all Yisrael, have I spoken a word with any of the judges of Yisrael, whom I commanded to feed My people, saying, Why have you not built a house of cedars for Me?
17:7 And now you shall say this to My servant, to David, So says Yehovah of Hosts, I have taken you from the pasture from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Yisrael;
17:8 and I have been with you wherever you have walked; and I have cut off all your enemies from before you; and have made for you a name like the name of the great ones in the earth.
17:9 And I will prepare a place for My people Yisrael, and he will plant, and he will dwell in his place, and shall not be made to tremble any more; nor shall the sons of wickedness waste him any more, as at the first;
17:10 yea, even from the day that I appointed judges over My people Yisrael. And I will humble all your enemies; and I declare to you that Yehovah shall build a house for you;
17:11 and it shall be, when your days have been fulfilled to go away with your fathers, that I shall raise up your seed after you, who shall be of your sons, and I shall establish his kingdom.6
17:12 He shall build a house for Me, and I shall establish his throne forever;
17:13 I shall become a Father to him, and he shall become a son to Me; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it away from him who was before you;
17:14 and I will establish Him in My house and in My kingdom forever; and his throne shall be made to stand forever.7
17:15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.
17:16 And David the king came in and sat before Yehovah, and said, Who am I, O Yehovah, Elohim, and what is my house, that You have brought me thus far?
17:17 And this was a small thing in Your eyes, O Elohim; but You have spoken to Your servant's house for a great while to come, and have looked upon me as a type of the Man who is on high, O Yehovah Elohim!
17:18 What can David add still more to You concerning the honor being put on Your servant? For You know Your servant.
17:19 O Yehovah, for Your servant's sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness, to make known all these great things.
17:20 O Yehovah, there is none like You; and there is no Elohim except You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
17:21 And what one nation in the earth is as Your people Yisrael, whom The Elohim has brought out to ransom to Himself for a people, to make for Yourself a great and fearful name, to cast out the nations from before Your people, whom You have ransomed out of Mitsrayim.
17:22 Yea, You have chosen Your people Yisrael for Yourself, for a people forever, and You, O Yehovah, have been Elohim to them.
17:23 And now, O Yehovah, the Word that You have spoken as to Your servant, and as to his house, let it be established forever, and do as You have spoken;
17:24 let it even be established, and Your name be great forever, saying, Yehovah of Hosts, the Elohim of Yisrael is Elohim to Yisrael; and the house of Your servant David shall be made to stand before You.
17:25 For You, O my Elohim, You have uncovered the ear of Your servant, to build a house for him; on this account Your servant has found to pray before You.
17:26 And now, O Yehovah, You are Elohim Himself, and You speak this goodness concerning Your servant.
17:27 And now, You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, to be forever before You; for You, O Yehovah, have blessed; yea, it is blessed forever!
18:1 And it happened, after this, that David struck the Philistines, and humbled them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
18:2 And he struck Moab, and the Moabites became servants to David, bringing a tribute.
18:3 And David struck Hadarezer the king of Zobah at Hamath, as he went to establish his hand by the Euphrates River;
18:4 and David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but left of them a hundred chariots.
18:5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer the king of Zobah, then David struck twenty two thousand men of the Syrians.
18:6 And David placed men in Syria of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David, bringing a tribute. And Yehovah preserved David wherever he went.
18:7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Yerushalayim.
18:8 And from Tibhath and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, David brought very much bronze (with it Solomon made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze).
18:9 And Tou the king of Hamath heard that David had struck the whole army of Hadarezer the king of Zobah,
18:10 and he sent his son Hadoram to King David, to ask shalom of him, and to bless him because he had fought against Hadarezer, and had struck him; for Hadarezer had been a man of war with Tou; and he sent all vessels of gold and silver and bronze.
18:11 Also these King David sanctified to Yehovah, with the silver and the gold that he had taken from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the Ammonites, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
18:12 And Abishai the son of Zeruiah had killed eighteen thousand of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt;
18:13 and he put command posts in Edom, and all the Edomites were servants to David. And Yehovah preserved David wherever he went.
18:14 And David reigned over all Yisrael, and he executed justice and righteousness among all his people.
18:15 And Yoab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Yehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
18:16 and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was Sofer;
18:17 and Benaiah the son of Yehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were first in power at the hand of the king.
19:1 And it happened after this, that King Nahash of the Ammonites died, and his son reigned in his place.
19:2 And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, for his father acted with kindness toward me; and David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. And the servants of David came to the land of the Ammonites, to Hanun, to comfort him.
19:3 And the chiefs of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun, Is David honoring your father, in your eyes, because he has sent comforters to you? Have not his servants come in to you in order to search out and to overthrow, and to spy out the land?
19:4 And Hanun took David's servants, and shaved them, and cut their long robes in half, to the buttocks, and sent them away.
19:5 And some went and told David about the men; and he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly humiliated. And the king said, Remain in Yericho until your beard has grown, then return.
19:6 And the Ammonites saw that they had made themselves odious to David; and Hanun and the Ammonites sent a thousand talents of silver in order to hire to themselves chariots and horsemen from Syria of Naharaim and Syria of Maachah and from Zobah.
19:7 And they hired thirty two thousand chariots to themselves, and the king of Maachah and his people. And they came in and pitched before Medeba; and the Ammonites had gathered out of their cities and had come to the battle.
19:8 And David heard, and sent Yoab and all the army of the mighty men.
19:9 And the Ammonites came out and set the battle in order at the entrance to the city; and the kings who had come were by themselves in the field.
19:10 And Yoab saw that the face of the battle was against him before and behind; and he chose out all the choice ones in Yisrael, and set in order to meet Syria;
19:11 and the rest of the people he gave into the hand of his brother Abishai; and they set in order to meet the sons of Ammon.
19:12 And he said, If Syria is stronger than I, then you shall help me; but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will help you.
19:13 Be strong, even let us take courage for our people and for the cities of our Elohim; and Yehovah will do that which is good in His eyes.
19:14 And Yoab and the people with him drew near before Syria to do battle; and they fled before him.
19:15 And the Ammonites saw that Syria had fled, and they ran away, they also, from before his brother Abishai, and went into the city. And Yoab came to Yerushalayim.
19:16 And Syria saw that they had been stricken before Yisrael, and sent messengers and brought out Syria that was beyond the river; and Shophach, Hadarezer's army commander, was before them.
19:17 And it was told to David, and he gathered all Yisrael and crossed the Jordan, and came to them and set in order against them; yea, David set the battle in order to meet Syria, and they fought with him;
19:18 and Syria fled before Yisrael, and David killed seven thousand charioteers of Syria, and forty thousand footmen, and he killed Shophach, the army commander.
19:19 And the servants of Hadarezer saw that they had been stricken before Yisrael, and they made shalom with David and served him; and Syria was not willing to help the Ammonites any more.
20:1 And it happened, at the time of the return of the year, at the time when kings go forth, that Yoab led out the power of the army and wasted the country of the Ammonites and came and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Yerushalayim. And Yoab struck Rabbah and overthrew it.
20:2 And David took the crown of their king from his head, and found it a talent of gold in weight, and a precious stone in it; and it was set on David's head. And he also brought out the spoil of the city, a very great amount.
20:3 And he brought out the people in it; and they sawed with saws, and with sharp tools of iron, and with the axes. And so David did to all the cities of the Ammonites. And David and all the people returned to Yerushalayim.
20:4 And it happened after this, that there stood a battle again with the Philistines in Gezer; then Sibbechai the Hushathite killed Sippai of the children of the giant, and they were humbled.
20:5 And there was a battle again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Yair killed Lahmi, the brother of Goliath, the Gittite, the wood of whose spear was like the weavers' beam.8
20:6 And there was a battle again in Gath; and a man of stature was there, and his fingers and toes were six and six, twenty four; and also he had been born to the giant.
20:7 And he taunted Yisrael. And Yonathan the son of Shimea, the brother of David, killed him.
20:8 These were born to the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
21:1 And The adversary stood up against Yisrael and moved David to number Yisrael.
21:2 And David said to Yoab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Yisrael from Beer-Sheba even to Dan; and bring to me, and I will know their number.
21:3 And Yoab said, May Yehovah add to His people as if they were a hundred times; my master, O king, are they not all of them servants to my master? Why does my master desire this? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Yisrael?
21:4 But the word of the king was strong against Yoab; and Yoab went out and went up and down all Yisrael, and came to Yerushalayim.
21:5 And Yoab gave the tally of the census of the people to David; and all Yisrael was a million and one hundred thousand men drawing sword; and Yehudah was four hundred and seventy thousand drawing sword.
21:6 And Levi and Benjamin he did not number among them, for the word of the king was loathsome to Yoab.
21:7 And it was evil in the eyes of Elohim as to this thing, and He struck Yisrael.
21:8 And David said to The Elohim, I have sinned exceedingly in that I have done this thing; and now, I pray You to cause the iniquity of Your servant to pass away, for I have acted very foolishly.
21:9 And Yehovah spoke to Gad, the seer of David, saying,
21:10 Go; and you shall speak to David, saying, So says Yehovah, I am extending to you three things; choose one of these for yourself, that I may do to you.
21:11 And Gad came to David and said to him, So says Yehovah, Choose for yourself:
21:12 either for three years of famine, or three new moons to be wasted before your adversaries, even to be overtaken by the sword of your enemies; or the sword of Yehovah three days, even pestilence in the land, and the Messenger of Yehovah destroying throughout all the borders of Yisrael. And now, see what answer I shall return to Him that sent me.
21:13 And David said to Gad, It is great distressing to me; now let me fall into the hand of Yehovah, for His mercies are very many; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.
21:14 And Yehovah sent a pestilence into Yisrael, and seventy thousand men of Yisrael fell.
21:15 And The Elohim sent a messenger to Yerushalayim to destroy it. And as he was destroying, Yehovah saw, and had pity as to the evil, and said to the destroying Messenger, Enough! Now let your hand drop. And the Messenger of Yehovah stood by the threshing-floor of Ornan the Yebusite.
21:16 And David lifted up his eyes and saw the Messenger of Yehovah standing between the earth and the heavens, and his sword drawn in his hand, stretched out over Yerushalayim; and David and the elders fell on their faces, covered with sackcloth.
21:17 And David said to The Elohim, Was it not I, I who said to number the people? Yea, it was I who sinned, and truly have done evil; and these, the flock, what have they done? O Yehovah, my Elohim, I pray You, let Your hand be on me and on my father's house, and not on Your people, to be plagued.
21:18 And the Messenger of Yehovah spoke to Gad, saying to David, Surely David shall go up to raise an altar to Yehovah in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Yebusite.
21:19 And David went up by the word of Gad, that which he spoke in the name of Yehovah.
21:20 And Ornan turned back, and saw the Messenger; and his four sons with him hid themselves; and Ornan was threshing wheat.
21:21 And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshing-floor and bowed down to David, with his face to the ground.
21:22 And David said to Ornan, Give me the site of the threshing-floor, and I will build an altar to Yehovah in it; for full silver give it to me, and the plague will be restrained from the people.
21:23 And Ornan said to David, Take it for yourself, and my master the king do that which is good in his eyes; see, I have given the oxen for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the food offering; I give it all.
21:24 And King David said to Ornan, No, for surely I will buy it for full silver, for I will not lift up what is yours to Yehovah, so as to offer a burnt offering without cost.
21:25 And David gave to Ornan six hundred shekels of gold in weight for the place.
21:26 And David built an altar there to Yehovah, and offered burnt offerings and shalom offerings, and called to Yehovah; and He answered him with fire from the heavens on the altar of the burnt offering.
21:27 And Yehovah commanded the Messenger, and he returned his sword to its sheath.
21:28 At that time, when David saw that Yehovah had answered him in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Yebusite, then he sacrificed there.
21:29 And the tabernacle of Yehovah that Mosheh had made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that time in the high place in Gibeon;
21:30 and David was not able to go before it to seek Elohim, for he was terrified from the face of the sword of The Messenger of Yehovah.
22:1 And David said, This is the house of Yehovah The Elohim, and this altar for burnt offering for Yisrael.
22:2 And David commanded the aliens in the land of Yisrael to be gathered, and appointed masons to cut stones to build the house of The Elohim.
22:3 And David prepared iron in abundance for nails, for leaves of the gates, and for couplings and very much bronze; there was no weighing it,
22:4 and also cedar trees without number, for the Sidonians and the Tyrians brought in cedar trees in abundance to David.
22:5 And David said, My son Solomon is a youth and tender, and the house to be built to Yehovah is to be made great, to a height, for a name and for beauty to all the land; I pray You, let me prepare for it. And David prepared in abundance before his death.
22:6 And he called for his son Solomon, and commanded him to build a house to Yehovah, the Elohim of Yisrael.
22:7 And David said to his son Solomon, As for me, it has been in my heart to build a house to the name of Yehovah my Elohim.
22:8 But the Word of Yehovah was against me, saying, You have shed blood in abundance, and you have made great wars; you shall not build a house to My name, for you have shed much blood to the earth before Me.
22:9 Look, a son shall be born to you; he shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around, for Solomon shall be his name, and I will give shalom and quietness to Yisrael in his days;
22:10 he shall build a house to My name, and he shall become a son to Me, and I a Father to him; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Yisrael forever.
22:11 Now, my son, may Yehovah be with you, and may you prosper and build the house of Yehovah your Elohim, as He spoke concerning you.
22:12 Only, may Yehovah give wisdom and understanding to you and command you as to Yisrael, even to keep the Torah of Yehovah your Elohim;
22:13 then you shall prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Yehovah commanded Mosheh as to Yisrael; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.
22:14 And, look, in my affliction I have prepared a hundred thousand gold talents for the house of Yehovah, and a million talents of silver; and there is no weighing of the bronze and iron, for it is in abundance; and I have prepared wood and stones, and you shall add to them.
22:15 And there are many workmen with you, masons and carvers in stone, and of wood, and every skillful man for every work.
22:16 No number is to the gold, and to the silver, and to the bronze, and to the iron; rise up and act, for Yehovah is with you.
22:17 And David commanded all the chiefs of Yisrael to give help to his son Solomon:
22:18 Is not Yehovah your Elohim with you? Yea, He has given you rest all around, for He has given into my hand the inhabitants of the land, and has subdued the land before Yehovah and before His people.
22:19 Now give your heart and your soul to seek to Yehovah your Elohim, and rise up and build the sanctuary of Yehovah Elohim, to bring in the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, and the set apart vessels of Elohim, to the house that is to be built in the name of Yehovah.
23:1 And David was old, and satisfied with days, and caused his son Solomon to reign over Yisrael.
23:2 And he gathered all Yisrael's chiefs, and the priests, and the Levites.
23:3 And the Levites were counted from a son of thirty years and upward; and their number by their heads, as to men, thirty eight thousand.
23:4 Of these, twenty four thousand to be overseers over the work of the house of Yehovah; and six thousand were officers and judges;
23:5 and four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand giving praise to Yehovah with instruments which I made, said David, for praising.
23:6 And David divided them into divisions of the sons of Levi, of Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
23:7 Of the Gershonites: Laadan and Shimei.
23:8 The sons of Laadan were Yehiel the head, and Zetham, and Yoel, three.
23:9 The sons of Shimei: Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers of Laadan.
23:10 And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush and Beriah; these four the sons of Shimei.
23:11 And Jahath was the head, and Zizah the second. But Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons. And they were in one roster, a father's house.
23:12 The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
23:13 The sons of Amram: Aaron and Mosheh. And Aaron was separated so that he should sanctify the most set apart things, he and his sons perpetually to burn incense before Yehovah, to minister to Him and to bless in His name perpetually.
23:14 And as to Mosheh the man of The Elohim, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.
23:15 The sons of Mosheh were Gershom and Eliezer.
23:16 Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the head.
23:17 And the sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah the head. And Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
23:18 Of the sons of Izhar, Shelomith was the head.
23:19 Of the sons of Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.
23:20 Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah was the first and Jesiah the second.
23:21 Mushi and Mahli were the sons of Merari. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
23:22 And Eleazar died. And he had no sons, but he had daughters. And their brothers, the sons of Kish, took them.
23:23 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Yeremoth, three.
23:24 These were the sons of Levi to the house of their fathers, the heads of the fathers, to their rosters, by number of names, by their heads, who did the work for the service of the house of Yehovah from the son of twenty years and over.
23:25 For David said, Yehovah Elohim of Yisrael has given rest to His people so that they may dwell in Yerushalayim perpetually,
23:26 and also to the Levites; there was no need to carry the tabernacle nor all its vessels for its service.
23:27 For by the last words of David, the Levites were numbered from a son of twenty years and above,
23:28 because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Yehovah, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all set apart things, and the work of the service of The Elohim's house,
23:29 both for the Bread of Arrangement, and for the fine flour for food offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for the pan, and for what is well mixed, and for every measure and size,
23:30 even to stand every morning to thank and praise Yehovah, and likewise at evening.9
23:31 And they were to offer all burnt sacrifices to Yehovah in the Sabbath, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded to them, continually before the face of Yehovah,
23:32 and that they should keep the charge of the tent of the meeting, and the charge of the set apart Place, and the charge of Aaron's sons, their brothers, in the service of the house of Yehovah.
24:1 And these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24:2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no sons. And Eleazar and Ithamar were priests.
24:3 And David divided them according to their offices in their service, even Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar.
24:4 And more sons of Eleazar were found than the sons of Ithamar, for heads of the men. And they divided them. For the sons of Eleazar were: sixteen chiefs to their father's house; and eight to the sons of Ithamar, to the house of their fathers.
24:5 So they divided them by lots, these with these. For these were the rulers of the sanctuary and rulers of the Elohim, of Eleazar's sons and Ithamar's sons.
24:6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the Sofer, of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the rulers, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the rulers of the fathers of the priests and Levites. One father's house was taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
24:7 And the first lot came out for Jehoiarib, the second to Yedaiah,
24:8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
24:9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
24:10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
24:11 the ninth to Yeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
24:12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
24:13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
24:14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
24:15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,
24:16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,
24:17 the twenty first to Jachin, the twenty second to Gamul,
24:18 the twenty third to Delaiah, the twenty fourth to Maaziah.
24:19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of Yehovah, according to their ordinance, to Aaron their father, as Yehovah Elohim of Yisrael had commanded him.
24:20 And the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
24:21 For Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
24:22 Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
24:23 And the sons of Hebron were Jeriah. Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24:24 Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah. Of the sons of Michah, Shamir.
24:25 The brother of Michah was Isshiah. Of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
24:26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Jaaziah: Beno.
24:27 The sons of Merari by Jaaziah: Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.
24:28 Of Mahli, Eleazar, and no sons were to him.
24:29 Of Kish, Yerahmeel the son of Kish.
24:30 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Yerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their father's house.
24:31 And they also made fall lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did before the face of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers, for the priests and Levites, even the head of the fathers, as well as his younger brother.
25:1 And David and the commanders of the army separated some to the service of the sons of Asaph and Heman and Yeduthun, who were prophets with harps, with lyres and with cymbals. And their number, of the workmen according to their service, was,
25:2 of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Yoseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph at the hands of Asaph, who prophesied at the hands of the king.
25:3 Of Yeduthun, the sons of Yeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah, and Shimei, six, under the hands of their father Yeduthun who prophesied with the lyre to give thanks and to praise Yehovah.
25:4 Of Heman were the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Yerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romam-Tiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.
25:5 All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the Words of The Elohim, to lift up the horn. And The Elohim gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
25:6 All these were at the hands of their father for song in the house of Yehovah, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of The Elohim, at the hands of the king: Asaph, Yeduthun and Heman.
25:7 So was their number, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yehovah, all that were discerning: two hundred, eighty eight.
25:8 And they made fall lots for duty, as in the rule, as the small, so the great, the one teaching with the pupil.
25:9 And the first lot came out for Asaph, to Yoseph: Gedaliah, he was the second; and his brothers and sons, twelve men.
25:10 The third was Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:11 The fourth was to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:12 The fifth was to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:13 The sixth was to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:14 The seventh was to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:15 The eighth was to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:16 The ninth was to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:17 The tenth was to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:18 The eleventh was Azareel his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:19 The twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:20 The thirteenth to Shubael his sons and his brothers twelve.

25:28 The twenty first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:29 The twenty second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:30 The twenty third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
25:31 The twenty fourth to Romamtiezer, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
26:1 For the divisions of the gate-keepers: of the Korhites was Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
26:2 And to Meshelemiah were sons: Zechariah the first-born, Yediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
26:3 Elam the fifth, Yehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.
26:4 And to Obed-Edom were sons: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,
26:5 Ammiel the sixth, Yisachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth (for Elohim blessed him).
26:6 Also sons were born to Shemaiah, who ruled for the house of their father; for they were mighty warriors.
26:7 The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brothers, mighty sons, were Elihu and Semachiah.
26:8 All these were the sons of Obed-Edom. They and their sons and their brothers were mighty men with strength for service. Sixty two were of Obed-Edom.
26:9 And to Meshelemiah were sons and brothers, mighty sons: eighteen.
26:10 Also to Hosah, of the sons of Merari, were sons: Simri the head, though not the first-born, yet his father made him the head;
26:11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth. All the sons and brothers of Hosah: thirteen.
26:12 To these were the divisions of the gatekeepers for the heads of the men, having charges like their brothers, to minister in the house of Yehovah.
26:13 And he made fall lots; as the small, as the great, for the house of their fathers, for gate and gate.
26:14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. And for his son Zechariah, a wise counselor, they made fall lots; and his lot came out northward;
26:15 and to Obed-Edom, southward; and to his sons the house of the stores;
26:16 Shuppim and Hosah westward, with the gate of Shallecheth, going up by the highway, guard corresponding to guard.
26:17 Eastward were six Levites, northward, four a day; southward, four a day, and toward the storehouse, two by two.
26:18 At the Parbar, westward, four at the highway; two at the Parbar.
26:19 These are the divisions of the gatekeepers among the sons of Kore and among the sons of Merari.
26:20 And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of Elohim, and to the treasures of the dedicated things.
26:21 The sons of Laadan, sons of the Gershonites; heads of the fathers of Laadan the Gershonite: Jehieli;
26:22 the sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and his brother Yoel, who were over the treasures of the house of Yehovah,
26:23 for the Amramites, for the Izharites, for the Hebronites, for the Uzzielites.

26:27 They dedicated from the battles and the plunder, to maintain the house of Yehovah,

27:1 And the sons of Yisrael, according to their number, the heads of the fathers, and commanders of thousands and hundreds, and their Soferim who served the king in every matter of the divisions which came in and went out new moon by new moon for all the new moons of the year, the one division had twenty four thousand.

27:23 But David did not take the number of them from the son of twenty years and under, because Yehovah had said He would increase Yisrael like the stars of the heavens.
27:24 Yoab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he did not finish. And wrath was on Yisrael for this. And the number did not go up in the account of the Matters of the Days of King David.
27:25 And over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel. And Yehonathan the son of Uzziah was over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the strongholds.
27:26 Ezri the son of Chelub was over those who did the work of the field for working the ground.
27:27 Shimei of Ramah was over the vineyards. Zabdi the Shiphmite was over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars.
27:28 And Baal-Hanan of Geder was over the olive trees and sycamore trees in the lowlands. And Yoash was over the oil cellars.
27:29 And Shitrai of Sharon was over the herds that fed in Sharon. And Shaphat the son of Adlai was over the herds in the valleys.
27:30 And Obil the Ishmaelite was over the camels. And Jehdeiah the Meronothite was over the donkeys .
27:31 And Jaziz the Hagerite was over the flocks. All these were the rulers of the possessions which King David had.
27:32 And Yonathan, David's uncle, was an adviser, a wise man and a Sofer. And Yehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons.
27:33 And Ahithophel was the king's counselor. And Hushai the Archite was the king's companion.
27:34 And after Ahithophel was Yehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. And the general of the king's army was Yoab.
28:1 And David assembled all the chiefs of Yisrael; the chiefs of the tribes and chiefs of the divisions who were serving the king, and commanders of the thousands, and commanders of the hundreds, and heads of all property and possessions of the king, and of his sons, with the eunuchs and the mighty ones, even to every mighty one of valor, to Yerushalayim.
28:2 And David the king rose up on his feet and said, Hear me, my brothers and my people. With my heart I desired to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, and for the footstool of our Elohim. And I made preparations to build.
28:3 But The Elohim said to me, You shall not build a house to My name, for you are a man of battles, and you have shed blood.
28:4 But Yehovah the Elohim of Yisrael chose me out of all my father's house to be king over Yisrael forever. For He chose Yehudah as the ruler, and my father's house in the house of Yehudah; and among the sons of my father He was pleased to make me king over all Yisrael.
28:5 And of all my sons, for Yehovah has given me many sons, He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of Yehovah, over Yisrael.
28:6 And He said to me, Your son Solomon shall build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him as a son to Me, and I surely will be a Father to him.
28:7 And I will establish his kingdom forever, if he will be strong to do My commandments and My ordinances, as at this day.
28:8 And now in the sight of all Yisrael, the house of assembly of Yehovah10, and in the hearing of our Elohim, observe and seek out all the commandments of Yehovah your Elohim that you may possess this good land, and cause your sons to inherit after you forever.
28:9 And you, my son Solomon, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind. For Yehovah searches out all hearts, and He understands every imagination of thoughts. If you shall seek Him, He shall be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. (1Kgs 11:9-10)
28:10 Watch, now, for Yehovah has chosen you to build a house for a sanctuary. Be strong and act.
28:11 And David gave his son Solomon the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper rooms, and of its innermost rooms, and of the house of the mercy-seat;
28:12 and the pattern of all that he had by the ruach, for the courts of the house of Yehovah, and for all the rooms all around, for the treasuries of the house of The Elohim, and for the treasuries of the things dedicated;
28:13 and for the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of Yehovah; and for all the vessels of service of the house of Yehovah;
28:14 even for the gold, by the weight of the gold, for all vessels of service and service; and for all the vessels of silver by weight for all vessels of service and service;
28:15 and by weight, for the menorot of gold, and their menorot of gold, with the weight of each menorah and its menorot. Also for the menorot of silver by weight, with the weight of each menorah, and its menorot, according to the service of each menorah.
28:16 And he gave by weight gold for the tables of the Bread of Arrangement, for table and table; silver for the tables of silver;
28:17 and pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and the cups; and for the golden basins by weight for every basin; for the silver basins by weight for basin and basin;
28:18 and for the altar of incense, refined gold by weight, and for the pattern of the chariot of the messengers of gold, spreading out and covering over the ark of the covenant of Yehovah.
28:19 All was in writing from the hand of Yehovah. He caused me to understand all the work of the pattern.
28:20 And David said to his son Solomon, Be strong and brave, and act. Do not fear, nor be afraid, for Yehovah Elohim, my Elohim, shall be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until you have finished all the work of the service of the house of Yehovah.
28:21 And look, the courses of the priests and the Levites shall be for all the service of the house of The Elohim. And with you in all work shall be every willing one with wisdom, for every service. And the rulers and all the people shall be according to all your words.
29:1 And David the king said to all the house of assembly, My son Solomon, the one whom Elohim has chosen, is young and tender. And the work is great, for the magnificent house is not for man, but for Yehovah Elohim.
29:2 And with all my power I have prepared for the house of my Elohim, the gold for things of gold, and the silver for silver, and the bronze for bronze, the iron for iron things, and the wood for wood, onyx stones, and settings, and also stones of antimony and of different colors, and every precious stone, and stones of alabaster, in abundance.
29:3 And also, because I delighted in the house of my Elohim, I have treasure of gold and silver which I give for the house of my Elohim, even more than all that I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary:
29:4 three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir; and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses;
29:5 even gold for things of gold, and silver for silver, and for all the work of the hands of the skilled workers. And who is he that will willingly offer to consecrate his hand today to Yehovah?
29:6 And the chiefs of the fathers, and the chiefs of the tribes of Yisrael, and the commanders of the thousands, and the hundreds, even the chiefs of the king's work, offered willingly,
29:7 and gave for the service of the house of The Elohim of gold five thousand talents, and a myriad of darics; and ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
29:8 And he having stones gave them to the treasury of the house of Yehovah, by the hand of Yehiel the Gershonite.
29:9 And the people rejoiced because of their willing offering, for they offered willingly to Yehovah with a perfect heart; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
29:10 And David blessed Yehovah before the eyes of all the house of assembly; and David said, Blessed are You, O Yehovah, the Elohim of Yisrael, our father, for ever and ever.
29:11 To you, O Yehovah, be the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all in the heavens and in the earth belongs to You, O Yehovah; Yours is the kingdom, and You lift up Yourself to all as Head;
29:12 and the riches, and the honor come from before You, and You rule over all; and in Your hand is power and might; and it is in Your hand to make great, and to give strength to all.
29:13 And now, our Elohim, we are giving thanks to You, and giving praise to Your glorious name;
29:14 yea, for who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer willingly in this way? For all is of You, and we have given to You out of Your hand;
29:15 for we are strangers before You, and settlers, like all our fathers; our days on the land are like a shadow, and there is none abiding. (Heb 11:9)
29:16 O Yehovah our Elohim, all this store that we have prepared to build a house to You, for Your set apart name, is out of Your hand, and all is of You.
29:17 And I know, my Elohim, that You try the heart and are pleased with uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have offered willingly all these things; and now I have watched with joy Your people who are present here offering willingly to You.
29:18 O Yehovah, the Elohim of Abraham, Yitzhak, and Yisrael, our fathers, keep this forever for the intent of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart toward You;
29:19 and give a perfect heart to my son Solomon, to keep Your command-ments, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do all, even to build this magnificent house, for which I have prepared.
29:20 And David said to all the house of assembly, Now bless Yehovah your Elohim. And all the house of assembly blessed Yehovah, the Elohim of their fathers, and worshiped Yehovah, and bowed to the king.
29:21 And they sacrificed sacrifices to Yehovah, and offered burnt offerings to Yehovah, on the next day after that day: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in great plenty for all Yisrael.
29:22 And they ate and drank before Yehovah on that day with great joy, and made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and anointed him before Yehovah as ruler, and Zadok as priest.
29:23 And Solomon sat on the throne of Yehovah as king instead of his father David, and prospered; and all Yisrael obeyed him.
29:24 And all the rulers, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David, submitted themselves to Solomon the king.
29:25 And Yehovah magnified Solomon to a height in the eyes of all Yisrael, and gave to be on him the majesty of the kingdom, such as had not been on any king over Yisrael before him.
29:26 And David the son of Jesse had reigned over all Yisrael;
29:27 and the days that he reigned over Yisrael were forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron, and he reigned thirty three years in Yerushalayim.
29:28 And he died in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honor. And his son Solomon reigned in his place.
29:29 And the acts of David the king, the first and the last, look, they are written in the scroll of Samuel the seer, and in the scroll of Nathan the prophet, and in the scroll of Gad the seer,
29:30 with all his reign and his might, and the times that passed over him, and over Yisrael, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.
